Such an amazing environment
Got this lens bundled with the G9m2. Fantastic combination. It has such a close focusing distance that it almost acts like a wide angle macro lens, especially when shooting in high-res mode.. I have gotten AMAZING shots this way! If you haven't tried it, I recommend it! Thanks for the video. It truly is a great walkaround nature lens.
Wow paired with that new g9ii it would be an amazing combo indeed. Such a small form factor too means your bag will still be nice and light.
How do you find it for video and is the autofocus good? Also is it sharp for video wide open at 1.7?
@LeeBooth this all comes down to what body you use it on it terms of AF. On the G9II I imagine it would be quite snappy. The sharpness requirement for video is far less than photos as even at 4k it is effectively only 8.3mp vs 24mp of a still. It was definitely sharp wide open for stills.
@@ZakariKha I have the G9 and G9 II so hoping it will be very good on the G9 II. Glad to hear the sharpness is very good wide open and forgot it gets cropped so any soft edges don't show up in video.
@@PhotoBooth72 I don't **think** there's a crop in 4K video with the G9M2.....?

Thanks for the video, very amazing. I'm struggling to choose this lens Leica 9mm f1.7 or Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D 😖. Couldn't find and video comparing those two lenses. I'm using zCAM e2 4k. Sharpness and distortion very important to my taste.
Thank you Kamal for checking out my video. Would love to do that comparison but since my channel is rather small. I’m all self funded and don’t have the budget to do so 😅 sharpness is great on the Lumix 9mm and might i suggest the faster aperture might prove more useful to you on a m43 sensor especially when it comes to lower light situations and the depth of field you can create. Plus if you ever pick up a gh6 you have AF
How is the autofocus?
Definitely faster than older lenses but also this is hugely body dependent
