I finally have a great video of this jet. Has to be the hardest thing to film...its so fast! This was recorded at the 2015 Melbourne Air & Space Show.

When the F-16 was new to the Air Force, I witnessed a similar demo while TDY to Langley in 79. I was stationed at Shaw, and the F-16 began replacing the RF-4C before I was reassigned to Tyndall in 84.
As an Air Force veteran and F-16 crew chief I am partial to this airframe. In my opinion, as biased as it may be, there is no better fighter in the world. They break a lot because of how much they can do in the air. I was also lucky enough to get 1.1 hours in the backseat as an incentive flight back in 1992. Greatest moments in my life were in the backseat of that aircraft. It's a joy to fly and amazing what these things can do.
This is probably one of the best F-16 videos I have seen. I saw an F-16 demo a few months ago at Sun n Fun and I'll never forget the way the ground shook beneath my feet every time it made a pass. I watched this on my phone with Bass Boost in the background and it almost sounded like I was actually there.
I grew up a few kilometers from a dutch airbase, F-16's everywhere, almost every day. Loved it so much! Since i was a little kid, in the 80's my mom would often take me there as close as possible and i could spend all day there :D
Sadly the base is closed since about twelve years ago, I miss the sounds of them ruling the skies so much..

My eyes were tearing through that whole video. What an awesome plane! Haven't been to an airshow in quite a few years. I'm overdue.
Perfect humidity to see the low pressure areas vaporize. Great camera.

Hard to believe that the Viper has been around this long. I doubt that we've ever really seen the actual capabilities of this incredible aircraft, but this vid was probably close .. Thanks for this outstanding video, mate!

It sounded like that viper had the new general electric F1 10 Engine in it. Really amazing demo though but I have to say the Thunderbirds this year at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base was absolutely spectacular and the best performance I've seen in about four years.
The F-16 is still my favorite Fighter, I'd love to see thrust vectoring put on them, but unfortunately that'll never happen.

F16 Vista was a TVC research aircraft.
F15, F16 and F18 all had a TVC nozzoles variants for research purposes.

dayofhappiness or a stealthy f16 but that's pretty much what the f35 is. I love the f35 now improved a lot since like so many military programs do.
nothing is impossible. if they want to put thrust vectoring in it, they will put it.
A maximum turn radius of less than 1400 feet is amazing. Some warehouses and plants are longer and wider than that. Very impressive performance.

But, I think in some parts, the frame's too tight on the plane, and I can't sense how maneuverable it actually is.

The United States should have used these instead of the F-35A. 90% capability at around half the cost, F-22 could be used for high-risk missions against advanced air defenses, and F-35B for stealth in a VTOL platform, with upgraded legacy fighters such as this in general purpose multirole missions in environments without advanced SAMs and radar. Sadly, the greed of the military-industrial complex and the corruption of our government prevented such a logical solution.
Advanced Cavemen what on earth are you taking about? The F-35 outclasses the F16 big time and doing such a feat shows something.

Great plane. Your footage has improved over the years. A suggestion: to emphasize a plane's tight turn/loop radius and speed, pull back on the shot during the maneuver and show some ground as reference.

The best Viper demo I seen was at the 2018 Cleveland National airshow piloted by John Rain Water's he did 5 high speed passes 4 at 700 mph and broke the sound barrier at 950 mph no Vapor Cloud but there was a sonic boom

Hope and plan to pilot the plane someday! I wonder how much gravitational force my bones can take before disintegrating into pieces.

9 for loss of consciousness with a g suit and training on how to breath/contract muscles. 5 g without those things. The airframe would have been designed with the human maximum in mind and wouldn't be able to take much more than that. No point sacrificing other parameters for g force capability that a pilot could never take. The plane would break apart long before your bones disintegrated.

Captain Gary Dover spanks everybody’s ass when it comes to a flight demo in a Viper, look up aggressive F16 demo here on TH-cam, you’re going to see the best Viper demo ever. This pilot is using the afterburner on most of his run and pulling serious G’s. Oh, and by the way, you demo pilots, how about doing an outside loop for a change, don’t be scared.
I was at an Airshow, Viper West was supposed to have given a demo flight, But the plane had a broken engine temperature gauge. So the plane was grounded that day. ;-(.
+Lester Maxx they normally have two aircraft at the airshow incase of a malfunction. However I have been at airshows where both aircraft failed to perform.
They just had 1 F-16. Maybe after the problem the Air Force started sending 2 F-16's. It was about 10 years ago.
Wow your camera is awesome! It looks like it would automatically aim at the plane. (compared to my F-18 video :D). The F-16 on your whole screen in HD looks really awesome but I think it's also important to make at least 1 scene without zoom so that we on youtube can imagine it's speed relative to the ground!

air guitar I understand about zooming out but for ME I want to see the aircraft in which im recording. I have been to so many of these shows I already know how fast its going. Sure some people don't but I like to see the aircraft actually working...flaps, rudders, etc. Again...thats just my opinion. There are a ton of videos that show speed but very few that actually show the aircraft working.
Xrm150 I also have seen how fast they are IRL. But it's not about being impressed by the speed of the plane, I just want to know how at which speed the plane is flying these manouvers. like "Is it 500km/h or 1000km/h?"

The Superior fighter of the 70s the f6 fighting Falcon just got better with a big fat air intake mouth. The Viper. I own the ball cap.
I just can't stand the "Viper" name. It is and always will be the "Fighting Falcon" to me.
The Viper is a lowly venomous snake that can be bested and eaten by a simple weasel. It cannot even fly.
But the Falcon, an apex predator that flies, is super maneuverable and fast, is so much more befitting in name.
Condor1970 Viper sounds more badass than fighting falcon. Viper looks more fierce and deadly and it's pretty fast.
Condor1970, I’m happy you said this & YES, you’re right! I saw a demo at my university {GA Southern Univ.} w/ a trained Falcon & it was....well, MAGNIFICENT! In all the ways that truly matter in flight, the Falcon reigns Supreme. Heck, all the other raptors don’t come close. “THE Fighting Falcon,” yeah.., that’s AWESOMENESS TO The MAXIMUS..!!!!
+David A. Moore I dunno man. The raptor can do so much more than what it's ALLOWED to show. I remember the first year the raptor was on the airshow circuit and it took off to a holding pattern out of the airshow box while the mustang did his demo. While I was watching the mustang I kept hearing the raptor roar time and time again. I turned to see what it was doing. Turns out he was doing the cobra maneuver repeatedly. It really was awesome to see even though he was so far away. That's the day I decided to get a camcorder with a good zoom because no one believed me.

I have to take umbrage at the title of this video, this pilot is hardly on the pipe ( after burner) at all. Take a look at the video titled “aggressive f16 demo” much better in my opinion.
Better then f-22 and f-35 for sure , however this plane has more than 40 years
Taiwan Air Force 145 F-16AB fighters will be fully upgraded upgraded to F-16V
Why does it feel like the video is tempered. Their is no way f16 can complete a high G turn in under 20 minutes. Even F22 and su35 can barely do that.
I didn't speed up or slow down the video in any way.
Either YF-16 could out perfom any F-16

+dieseldiesel9292 yes I like the demo better because it's more balls to the wall... But the f22 is much louder. Watch my f22 demo from the same show. You will like it.
I'll watch it.. I've seen the f22 3 times and it just didn't seem as loud as the older aircraft. that's to be expected with a newer stealth fighter though.
Does it make sense to build over 1,000 F - 35's at 300 million each or build new F - 16's with thrust vectoring , F -22 or F - 35 radar , or even make the F - 16's larger to carry more load ??? President Trump , would you rethink their model ? Posted 04/27/2016 .
F35 is already down to ~$100M/copy. It's headed towards the promised $85M. That's an unbelievable value for the capabilities. The F35s are picking up where the F22s left off racking up unbelievable kill ratios in training.
