I love your videos. I just wanted to mention though about plug covers. There’s a video going around for about a year now done by an electrician that they are more dangerous as they can open the top pin where there’s a little plastic shutter. When that is open the whole socket is then live. It is recommended now not to use anything at all because uk 3 pin plugs are safe. You can get little boxes to go over the whole plug socket instead which are really good .

They're safe if the house is properly Earthed. There would be plenty of old houses that aren't properly Earthed and the owners would have no idea.

Thanks Bethan, I never knew! We put these in when Fraser was born and have been using them ever since. Our house is properly earthed but it's great that you've made people aware that this could be an issue. Thanks! xx

Thank you so much for this video! My little guy is almost 10 months. He can stand unassisted and he’s trying his hardest to walk so we’re making a lot of adjustments at our house! They actually make special electrical outlets here in the US that are “baby proof” without the need for plug covers. We were lucky to have them already installed in our house when we moved in. I would highly recommend them to anyone building a house or looking to upgrade their electrical sockets. One less thing to worry about!

Hi Emily, luv it videos, I'm a new mum n need to baby proof my home too, got most of the stuff u mentioned. One thing I got was a door stopper, u can use pool noodles, but this is like foam in C shape with animal n kids design. Aim to prevent kids from getting their fingers trapped in doors, u put them high up, wedge it in door, keeps door open n baby is safe from getting hurt. N fridge locked so they don't pull out everything, I have a small freezer n talk one, so I will put lock on those two, the ones he can get to. Maybe you already have them. Just a thought. Keep the videos coming luv them.xoxo

That was so great Emily! Fantastic tips! I love that you let Jackson have access to some cupboards. I think it's important to let kids develop their coordination and creativity with every day items. It must ve horrible having everything locked away from you! I also liked the charger thing! I hadn't even thought of it before this! And my mum said as a baby I had put a charger in my mouth and got electrocuted! Off to put the chargers away now!

Any tips on cosleeping bed rails? We can’t fit our babies cot next to us, so he sleeps in the middle (no pillow for him).
The pool noodles will take up too much bed space and the mesh ones are tall and in the way.
Also, any tips on window and balcony safety? We do lock the doors and window, we have our baby and his cousins all here at once sometimes though, and they are under 8 so there’s a lot of kids to keep an eye on at once, although we would always try to be in the same room or be able to see them.

Great video! We literally got rid of our coffee table and only use a storage ottoman that is padded. We got all floating shelves that the boys can’t reach! And we put a baby gate to separate the living room (which is where we spend most of the time during the day) but we totally need to get one that doesn’t have a bar at the bottom, because we have had someone that was visiting trip 😢😭 we have a 9 year old 2 year old and a 6 month old! Lol 😆 love all your videos Emily ✨♥️

    Hi Emily, great channel.
I am concerned about the dangerous taps at bath time as my son likes to splash around and could knock his head but my taps are very different to yours and the whale cover would not be at all suitable. I am in the UK where the taps come from the surface out of the bath and not from the wall. What could I use to cover these bath taps?

How did you make your blinds cordless? Did you change the blinds completely or is there a magical device??

Expect the unexpected. My toddler got a nasty burn from the hair straighteners. Miles away one minute grabbing them the next. Great tips x

Hi there - there are lots of companies in the UK that do them. Search 'remote control blinds' or 'motorised blinds'. Thanks for watching! xx
