I really hope they stick with Mitch Lewis, like oscar he's one of my favourites.
I think a few of the coming matches (even north) will be harder than people think. But if we can finish just shy of finals it will be a really successful season in a lot of hawks supporters eyes. I just hope they can keep the team together (even the guys who aren't playing every week, a team is only as good as it's depth)
As for the time slots, that's because the AFL wants Hawks to be a Marvel team while Essendon and Carlton move to the MCG, they'll use "poor crowds" as a reason, when they've given Hawks nothing but Sunday slots against interstate teams at the G while they've been down on the ladder (for a few years at most). Yet Essendon and Carlton can be shocking for 20 years and maintain prime slots. This is not a knock on the clubs, but a knock on the AFL's money at all costs attitude.
Agreed . Also when hawthorn were in their last successful era ,weren't always hucen favourable timeslots
I totally agree with this. Richmond is another club that always ends up getting prime time slots even though they've been going poorly.
The AFL could not share a salada biscuit. All Melbourne teams deserve a friday night home game at the G in turn

i think next year we hould get more primtime slots, have to remember when the AFL redid the second half of the draw we sat 0-5 and had just been smashed by goldy, obviously the AFL thought we would not step up like we have and hoping we would go quietly with ZERO night games for the second half of the year and travelling back and fourth from interstate to tassie week in week out.

Smith was sent back to the 2s to work on his craft but he has come back now and looks a lot better

Hawks were so good, well fought and deserve the win. Nick Watsons mark on the boundary was unreal.
Not sure why Freo flies to Tassie though; said this before the game and will say it again.
A few butterflies and lost mojo by Freo, their defence line seems to get confused very easily. Hopefully they do well for the remaining games.

I've supported the Hawks since 1963. All the ups & downs.It's just great to see the wheel turn again for a young,inexperienced group. Watch out in 2025.The young blokes have learned how to win the close games,these being more important than many realise. You can see with any side on the rise the close games start to go their way. Carna Hawks.........still riding the bumps with a grin !

Great for people with kids, hawks games always on at family friendly timeslots. Probably helps the team also as night games are harder to prepare for ie you need to alter sleeping patterns to be primed for fixtures starting at night

For Kane Cornes that keeps going off at Freo for Darcy and Jackson this was a prime example of why it does work when there both in the team and yet can't point out when he's wrong if Darcy wasn't injured it would give Jackson and Treacy both chances to go forward with if it were the case Treacy could've had more of an impact and so could Jackson as pathetic as Freo played that was a big factor meek is a big boy and Sean Darcy would've had a much better go against him by the way yes I'm a Freo supporter and my partner goes for Hawks so no hate against them and they did pley well

Yes brown smith has 4 premierships with 2 clubs . I know i am being picky 3 with hawks one with the cats. I did find it hard to like him when he went to.the cats

We have been shafted with fixture since 2017 and we still produce better crowds then most. It is so annoying and the afl really seems to hate us on purpose! Either way we will prove them wrong and go hawks loved every bit of this video with the 2 young guns and Issac smith!
