To be fair, the dog showing up actually heals the boss a bit. It's less so about having to save the dog and more that the amount the dog contributes doesn't mean as much because you're doing the boss fast, The dog will barely get to do damage anyway.
@@tysej4 on top of that there’s 2 cutscenes that change the gigante’s actions. First cutscene moves him around pretty sure and the second makes him charge the wall which loses time

@@pepepopopepepopo2926 That's interesting because they put more regenerators in the Remake than in the OG. I counted a whopping 12 total regenerators in the remake that you can encounter including iron maidens. The difference is you can avoid some of these encounters. There's that cryogenic chamber with 4 regenerators in it where, if you're careful, you can prevent three of them from breaking out of their glass tubes. They also added a new section of the game that's in the ruins before you reach Sadler where you find 3 generators in bags, one of which most players can easily avoid, the other two require extreme caution and can both mutate into iron maidens. There's also the 2 that are the first encounters in the lab and fridge, and there are the 2 that can mutate into iron maidens in the sewers. And there is the merchant sidequest walking corpse iron maiden you find in the cryogenic chamber which is the most difficult in the game (and it can be more diifult if there are still regenerators in the cryogenic tubes that can break out as you fight it). Still encountering that iron maiden is 100% optional. I think what happens is as you play the game more with better weapons (ie the sniper with the biosensor) the regenerators feel more manageable (seemed the same in OG). Still if you're trying to get the s+ Rank on advanced or professional, they are absolutely difficult (especially when you can only perfect parry). And I found myself trying to avoid them more and outrun them in professional than I did in standard. When you know where they are and how to avoid them, you may only encounter 5 and only need to kill 2 of them.
For me there was way too much of them because I played the whole game without using the thermal optic since I didn't know it would show the parasites, so each encounter was a mini boss that took at peast 60% of my ammo😅 Never played the OG game as well

Every time I watch your content, it sounds like Deadpool is walking us through his run of whatever game on insane difficulties, and I'm so here for it.
For the cabin it’s a bit more nuance this time around I’ve learned. Basically you kill X enemies till the boards spawn and then board up the windows. They will then move upstairs. I think it’s like 7 enemies before the brute spawns and then you kill him to end the cabin. I loved the video btw. Your commentary is great.
You could make the playthrough even harder by including only pistols and knives achievement, but it’s very tough, I only managed to do it on new game +
I did it on professional doing pistol and knives but with merchant. On top of that only SG09-R, Combat Knife and disposable knives. It was pretty easy for the entire village with standard professional strats, some diligence collecting treasures allowed for almost fully upgraded SG09-R near Mendez. The real tears in castle came with things like Garradors, water room, running around with Ashley, pushing through crowds without flashbangs and shotgun. Verdugo. Island was okay except regeneradors requiring some RNG with exposing their weakspots with the knife. Krauser being a pain and Saddler being a nightmare.
I found out recently with the chopper mike aa gun part you can acutally get away with using just one heavy grenade followed by one regular grenade and it will blow up the aa gun also. So if you ever need to save a heavy or only have one you can still cheese this part.
Bro I’ve been enjoying your content so much for the past month, I’ve been rewatching all your videos even when I’ve seen’em😂 keep up the great content💜
I’ve been avoiding watching any footage or gameplay for this and the dead space remake for so long, which is funny cause I’ve already played the original.
Did this a few days ago. I was so understocked on ammo by Krauser. Was there for like 2 hours. Saddler was easy because I was hoarding rifle ammo since the village and had the CBQR and 130 rifle bullets by the time I got to him. Overall, a fun run outside cabin, water hall and double garrador room (got only 1 heavy nade for the entire game...damn you RNG)..basically the classics.
I've been prepping for a professional run (with the merchant lol) for a while and this video gave me hella confidence, especially with some of those skipping strategies. I'm sure that will all b crushed once I attempt it but for now I feel great about it! Lol
14:30 you can totally stealth kill the red guy! It's tricky but doable. You have to wedge yourself between the wall corner and the guy on his right to collision passed him and preemptively press the stealth kill prompt right before it flashes up. It probably took me 10 tries.
Reminds me of my run where I didn’t talk to the merchant, did pistol and knife only, and did no heals 😂. But seriously huge congrats on doing this my only pro run was super painful even with the merchant
My mistake for trying this was on a new game with zero upgraded weapons just used the starting pistol and his dinky knife. Truly a tough run also not talking to the merchant

I tried to do a Professional mode, no merchant, no healing, pistol only run. Shit was painful lol Got all the way to Leon and Luis's house of pain and got stuck. Never got further than that, sadly
That was pain. I managed to get all the way till the final section of the game. One problem, the last time you can fight the regenerador in the room where you have to sprint to the closing door, if you're in danger health you are simply not fast enough on professional to get through it. Even with the striker charm cause I had it. If you do it again make a safety save for the beginning of that chapter and hope you simply never get hit.
Its so weird the flash grenades affect the garradors so much. Even on professional. Theyre blind. And plus the sounds of it isnt much different from a gun, that they can listen to all day.
I don't like how you can't tell ashley to wait in this version, lol. Feels like she's always getting nabbed when she would have been fine if she just stood in one place.
