Near Antigua, in Guatemala, there is an active Volcano named Fuego. I took a tour with a company called Wicho & Charlies, and hiked the sister volcano, Acatenango. The weather was cloudy, cold, and it was one of the most difficult things I've ever done in my life.
The trip cost $65 usd, plus gear rental, extra for the Fuego hike, and the tip. In total I spent about $100, and it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend the company I chose as they are well experienced and prepared for this trek.
Tony I'm happy to watch this video. I absolutely love Antigua, Guatemala!
I haven't gone up to the volcanoes but I will!
The hike you took was amazing! Seeing those colossus that close must be one of the greatest experiences of your life. Guatemala is amazing!
The dogs joining the hikers are adorable.

Hi Tony, amazing hike, thanks for sharing your experience. I'm wondering when you did the climb? Was it when you posted your video in June 2021?
Yes it was June 2021
Will you ever try it again to try and catch the volcano?
Great video Tony…too bad you didn’t get the chance to see the main show.
I did see it explode once when the clouds cleared. I just couldn't get it on film fast enough.
@@tony.travels that’s great ,keep enjoying my native country ….cheers from Quebec.
Good experience to do it once in a lifetime! To do it 3 times weekly for 6 years ???
During the tour, do they have a place to store your luggage?
You leave it at the office in. back room and they close the door.
u can bring marshmallows to cook by the heat of the lava next time
If there's a next time for sure
