Sure you can get "the same result" in Photoshop, but if you only use photoshop, you never really learn to "see" what's possible with double exposures. Seeing it live, makes you learn to see.
I disagree. Whether you are in front of a monitor using Photoshop, or adjusting settings on a camera - in both instances you are still 'live' and still have to learn how to see, i.e. you still have to make the adjustments to get the results - Photoshop won't see for you. You also still need to think about the images you are going to use beforehand; Another thing Photoshop can't do for you. I speaking from someone who began photography over 45 years ago using mostly film since that time and having done many creative double exposures in film.
JUST rewatched your earlier double exposure video in the last week or so because I’d like to explore this style in my future family sessions. So nice of you to make a new video!
I’ve been wanting to try double exposures since coming across your page, thank you so much for this awesome video! I shoot on Canon and am going to try this with my next engagement shoot tomorrow
I literally was just thinking about your double exposure photography today. You’re one of my fav photographers and I have an upcoming shoot and wanted to do this technique. Perfect timing!
I just wish I could us my Canon 5D Mk111 like I used my Mk11 the Mk11 is very simple and logical to use where as the Mk111 is highly complex as a camera that is used for every day photography and Sports???
I have a question, other than being to be able to do this quicker in camera, wouldn't it be better to just do it in photoshop with the time to frame better as well if you are you shooting in raw?

i really love it doing this by my Nikon but i change to sony now and it they dont have double explosure in option 😞
How I can set up multiple exposure option active, when I press on this option it’s saying that -this option not available on current settings- maybe you can help and navigate me how setup this option active
FYI. RAW multiple exposure is only available in R5/R6. Canon only produces >jpeg< multiple exposures in their newer mirrorless cameras R3/R6 II/R7 so need to do that extra PS step which takes away from the time savings. Not sure who decided to deliberately take it away. Bad Canon!
Why can’t I choose any image to overlay like you did ? I have raw on my camera but when I choose the option to pick an image it says I don’t have any ?! But I do.
My canon is to noob for this functionality 😢 I have an SL3, That was so frustrating, I was like: hell yeah let’s do this I was so excited, I had many ideas, I just checked on the menu of my camera, and I can not, Why Canon ???? 😭😭😭 but thanks for the video, it’s really great 👏
Am from Nigeria I love filmmaking so much I want to make leaving out of it I have watch so many TH-cam tutorials and gone far but I don't have gears I use phone for practice am broke I need at least M50 canon

This is sooo true

This is a great tutorial that will inspire photographers of all levels to try their hand at creating beautiful double exposure images. Thanks!
I just got an r10 and I’m excited to try double exposure your way. You made it look so much easier
It's the tiger wall for me
it’s the incorrectly painted wall that looks like it has cool texture now for me

Thanks for watching both!! :)

Love the idea of creating iso pushing buttons, great tips!
I love the modularity of your studio. The space looks amazing on every angle
One of the first videos I can remember in a long while that has made me excited to pick up my camera. You DID that.
Amazing to hear, Joe :)
Awesome video. Your last IG double exposure post was pretty darn amazing.
Thanks for sharing this!
MAN, you're genious! Congratulations for everything!
Hey thanks!
Gracias por compartir tu conocimiento. Es inspirador y educativo al mismo tiempo.
Literally was just watching the old video you did about cause I wanted to learn about it! So convenient!!
Amazing!
Such a great tool to have in the photo arsenal🔥Also love that you are repurposing and giving updates on old videos. Evergreen cycle my man, genius
Stoked to do more education-based stuff this year :)
I just wish I could us my Canon 5D Mk111 like I used my Mk11 the Mk11 is very simple and logical to use where as the Mk111 is highly complex as a camera that is used for every day photography and Sports???

so sick man. youre the best. at photography. at life. at being cool.
love ya dawg
Instant subscribe with the office clip. 😉 Canon shooter also, so double bonus
Which Canon cameras have this setting?
A quick question Eric. When you combine two images in camera can it be saved in camera as a RAW file? Thanks for your video sir!
Yup! It's saved as a RAW file and can be edited just like any other RAW file on the card!
Thank you daddy!
Please can you tell me what's your light setup at 4:11. How do you get such a narrow light? Thank you!
love this, thanks
Thanks for watching!
What did you use to get that lighting on the guy sitting
can this be done with an a330 sony camera?
Dig this🌸✨

so sorry :(
Awesome 👍🏻
This definitely got the cogs turning up stairs. Thanks for making this video!
Wish Sony cameras were this easy for double exposures! Anyone know if this is possible in camera for A74?
Hey sorry
Did you find anything??
I need to do something like this for school on my sony a6400
I laughed so hard at the head in tigers mouth lol awesome video!
How I can set up multiple exposure option active, when I press on this option it’s saying that -this option not available on current settings- maybe you can help and navigate me how setup this option active
Does anyone know if Sony cameras have a similar multiple exposure setting like Canon?
If you’re shooting lumix its 100% the same, u can find it in the photo menu and bind it to a button as a short cut.

Nooooooo! Bummer
I have R6 that have the ME but with the lens in the kid is not available
good

That intro tho 🔥
I’m curious what a “creative internet” dad bod looks like. Asking for a friend of course.
Thanks! I’ve been running a lot of marathons recently, so not too bad.

I have a canon r50 but I dont have the multiple exposure feature 😭
Me to😢
Am from Nigeria I love filmmaking so much I want to make leaving out of it I have watch so many TH-cam tutorials and gone far but I don't have gears I use phone for practice am broke I need at least M50 canon
Multiple exposure is grayed out on my camera. (Canon 6D)
Nvm, I figured it out, lol. It doesn't work when WIFI is enabled.
"Hullo it's me, The Head."
-The Head from Art Attack
lol - i had to google art attack
I miss you floberg.
THANK YOU! This was super helpful!
One day I’ll have a camera able to make this kind of photo, I don’t want to do on photoshop
The one thing, I hate about my sony. No double exposure in-camera :(
Sure, you can do things in post but then your left with a complete paradox of choice. Doing things in camera creates more intentionality.
I'm so mad I went a full 4 years of college without knowing this.
I been trying to figure this out i tried to do this with street photography but didn't work out i got a lomg exposure of a street 😂
Canon m50 have none of this😔
Can we get a tutorial on the intro now? lol Is it just Masking?
Ha! We just shot the first image dark, and then the plant one was layered over with one of premiere's blending modes. I used "lighter color"
Looks lovely
Thanks, Trevor!
