Julian was never a prodigy, true he was a hardworker with fundamentals but he never really showed any signs of a prodigy, for example when he was pitted against Lamelo, the difference of a prodigy and an average joe were shown

Was he really a child prodigy or he just worked harder than most kids his age and a few years above him? He doesn't have the shooting stroke, the smoothness in dribbling, he is quick but predictable but it works in middle school but in highschool against real competition like lamelo it didn't work

I don't want waste my time with another dumb video about Newman. First he is not even 5-6. Second. He is a terrible ball handler. His dribbling is what we call spam dribbling. Not creating much separation or paths to the basket. Third. He limited skills. Fourth. His shot is bad (though improved as of late). Fifth. He has zero athleticism. He is quick but has no explosion or lift. And last he has no basketball IQ and a bad attitude. Height was the least of his problems. And the NBA or any D1 college hardly know his name. He is not even good enough for many high school varsity teams.

No joke, as I was watching this video, I somehow ended up on Randy Newman’s Wikipedia page (from the wiki for the movie “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, which he voiced a character in).
His biggest song was “Short People”, a 1970’s hit.

Hooper's and fans of Hooper's, could NEVER respect what Julian Newman was. He was a ball handler who couldnt score against taller guards (mind you Isaiah Thomas, Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, was doing it at a high level when Julian was relevant in HS)..The diffrence is..Julian was heighten as a dribbler, but TRASH as a scorer. He was only relevant because he could dribble (and often times WAY too much)..and never saw a D1 college team offer and rightfully so..overall, HE SUCKED...Not hate...Factz💯.
