@@advaitlingayat2815this is… not how it works. nvidium is built around sodium. it’s a dependency and both are needed for Nvidium to work. Also Nvidium is generally better than sodium but it depends heavily on your PC. The dude who made this short did a terrible job at properly testing performance and also mentioning his specs so that the user could determine if this is a valid benchmark. nvidium only works on newer Nvidia brand gpus, Vulkan works on pretty much everything but works especially well with AMD graphics cards
@@futuremapper_because distant horizons degrades the image qualaty so further back chunks look worse. This is verry noticibly when zooming. Nvidium renders the chunks as full qualaty
Also use "Chunky". With a simple chat command you can start the rendering of the early decided area of chunks to prevent it in the gameplay process to avoid lag spikes. U sacrifice a little storage and time, but then it will be much more smoother (5000x5000 blocks area rendered for 1 and half hour for me)

Sodium + Iris Shader are my must have mods, I'm also glad to see that a big work has been done to make distant horizons 2.0 compatible so we'll get even more performances with insane render distances. That makes me also quite sad 'cause I'm an Hypixel Skyblock enjoyer and the mods are 1.8.9 based so it's optifine or nothing for the ressourcepacks etc...

Yeah, Minecraft on Mac is awful. The macOS OpenGL drivers are literally 14 years old now. And however they were implementing them, it got noticeably worse after Apple Silicon, so much more powerful M-series MacBooks perform like far weaker Intel counterparts for Minecraft. How does Vulkan mod work when there are no Vulkan drivers for macOS either, though?

Optifine is better for maximizing fps at the cost of visuals (especially for weaker PCs) While sodium is just there for decent PCs to have a better high refresh rate experience without sacrificing much visuals
please give %95 or %99 fps instead of avg. i dont think the list will change but still you can have an avg fps really high but if you have %95 fps too low, you'll feel frame times spike and "lag"
Yes you can, also Sodium has little to no disadvantages except for less settings but there are other mods to give you more settings back while using Sodium so basically no disadvantages

Would these mods help me with that.
vulkanmod is very situational too, you may not see a significant leap in performance when using an NVIDIA graphics card, say in comparison to an AMD GPU - in which vulkan bumps my frame rate into the thousands.
My Lenovo ideapad 3 laptop which isn’t even built for gaming, literally plays at 130-200 frames per second using Sodium-Iris (without shaders of course)

i actually get like 2 more frames using sodium than vanilla minecraft so i use optifine i get arond 15 usigng vanilla around 17 to 20 using sodium and 35 to 60 using optifine

It looks like your nvidium and sodium performance is near-identical, meaning nvidium is not active. Why could this be? One reason could be you do not have an Nvidia GPU.
I didn't touch on this in my shorts video, but I did in my long form. Because of Nvidium essentially being sodium if you are not going above 32 chunks, the performance difference is minimal or null. But, Nvidium's advantage is being able to achieve higher render distances without sacrificing performance thanks to GPU mesh shading, which I have thanks to my RTX 2060.
Okey so misconception, you can use sodium and nvidium at the same time but usually it won't improve performance. It will however get you great fps if you set nvidium to have all rendered chunks be loaded ( that you explored) or if you are using nvidium with distant horizons. It will give you 200-300 fps while seeing more then 100 chunks ( it needs a mid range PC+ an Nvidia card tho)

For me Vulkan the best. With Vulkan I get in vanilla 12 Chunks 1100 fps and with sodium i think it was 900 fps, but I always use sodium or Xenon, because they have shader support
even though i know there are better ways to play minecraft more optimized, i'm forever sticking with optifine since it's been my buddy from the beginning of my minecraft journey
I use Nvidium so I can have a render distance of 255 chunks at 110 fps if I just use Sodium it just runs out of memory and before it does my framerate drops to 20 fps. It's not even comparable. You used Nvidium for the wrong job.
Remember when the world would load almost instantly now you got these loading screens and you know minecraft is slow. Pocket edition is unplayable right now unless you're on a pc. Back then the render distance was far short medium but at least you could load far on a low end pc. Now you can't even load 8 chunks.
This things not performs the same at all. my laptop works better with optifine avg is 50 - 70 ish fps. but sodium sucks form me it gives only 20 - 30 fps and drops sometimes to 0 fps. i want to say go and try out this mods by yourself and see which one performs better for you.

you might as well have a performance mod to reduce GPU load, also so you can run shaders better and also nvdium increases render distance by insane amounts,
I wouldn't say it's bad, just got too stiff. Minecraft at its core is a game about survival, not PvP. I don't get the hate behind the 1.9 update. If you like PvP just use an old version or play Bedrock- I don't know.

With optifine I was getting 50 fps in bsl shader. But sodium was giving 200+ fps with a bsl shader.

Optifine was crewted for ilder versions of the game, it does good 1.12 and under. Sodium is for modern minecraft

Nividium is superior if youre render distance is larger. I use 128 chunks with bobby and get like a 30% boost with nvidium active

sodium can load chunks faster with mods like starlight or phosphor
Starlight or Phosphor isn't really useful as of 1.19 or 1.20, since Mojang finally fixed that part of the game.

I have a sodium modpack with over 20 mods and im getting 850 fps average on hypixel and 500 in single player.
There's not really a definitive answer to which is better since it really varies on your GPU

Nvidium isn't a frame booster app, it's to let us increase our render distance while retaining our fps. It's to be used in conjunction with sodium.

same i got a gtx 1050 ti and it literally gets 700 fps when playing perfectly optimized with 64 chunks (overclocked also)

when i bought my pc i opened mc (vannilla) it created the world in 4 seconds and i had 800 fps, i almost had a heart attack how good it was
You should use performance mods, the horrible optimization of the base game still puts unnecessary strain on your computer

Load time isnt fair. Sodium isn’t an All In One like optifine, you get better load times from other mods stacked on top of it

They did make game run slower.
And had me install newer versions of drivers.
And sodium made game not launch.

Optifine is a standalone mod.
Sodium can be one but the others are made to be paired to get more fps, as they don't tank all the games mechanics
for me vulkan has the best performance, i have a pretty bad pc

From my experience with sodium I can’t customize anything related to video settings and optifine lets me do that
Vulkan is way better with optimizing entities. your game will be way smoother with a ton of mobs on Vulkan than with anything else.
As a player who played one of the worse gamemode in minecraft (1.7-1.8 pvp) id stick to optifine
I wouldn't say it's bad, just got too stiff. Minecraft at its core is a game about survival, not PvP. I don't get the hate behind the 1.9 update. If you like PvP just use an old version or play Bedrock- I don't know.

I use Sodium & Nvidium set higher chunk no problem if you got weak grapics card. Correct if Im wrong bout this.

You cant use nvidium any lower than the gtx 1630 💀
I mean doesn't depend on how good your GPU is for the most part but which one, nvidium only works with nvida like said in the name

Optifine is useless now it's outclassed by sodium, but the unfortunate thing is sodium doesn't exist on forge
if nvidium doesnt have at least x3 the fps of sodium, there must be something you are doing wrong.
Idk what’s happening bc with sodium im getting 60 fps
depends on what pc you have. i have a decent pc with optifine and average 140 fps
