My dentist worked on me drunk.. And I didn't know that he has lost his license before a few times.. He never did an x-ray or anything.. Just went straight to drilling on all my front teeth.. He hurt me so bad I was crying.. Well now after years of fixing and fixing I'm going to have to get all in 4s.. I've never had a portrait with My kids where I could smile.. It's amazing how 1 man can have an impact on my life for 20 years now..

I am just completing day four after having 13 teeth, pulled, bridges, removed, and all on four arches placed upper and lower. Mine was done in Vienna, Virginia, just outside of Washington DC. Do NOT underestimate the pain caused by this procedure. Aside from the extractions, and drilling, they will scrape down gum/bone tissue along the gumline, in order to properly align the arches. I have had serious swelling, sore throat, cracked lips, and dental pain and numbness. I am still using ice packs on day four, and they help. I think narcotic medication in addition to Tylenol and Motrin is necessary. Cleaning and prescribed gargles are not bad. overall, I would do this again. But if someone is going to have a full mouth restoration done, they should NOT go into the procedure thinking they will just need a little Tylenol and Motrin. Good luck!

Very grateful that I didn’t go a few places I’d thought about before once I saw you’re videos. I’m going to get an all on 4 upper in a few weeks and this dentist I’m going to I choose because he seemed the most like you as far as information, endless patience, very thorough and honest, only uses the best materials, very happy to show lots of his work and his implants look so perfect. 2) What should I look for when choosing a foreign practice to ensure I get the best chance for full recovery
    3) I have overbite and needed speech therapy to speak properly without severe lisp. Will this process allow me to speak without a lisp?
    4) Are there payment options at your practice for people without dental insurance and the cash to cover the procedure?

Assuming a need for bone grafting, what cautions, if any, may need to be observed related to sinus proximity? Glad to learn that mesh reinforcement may be required as well. Thanks for sharing.👍

My husband had dentures prior to his all on 4 surgery. He went to the VA and was told he qualified for this and they sent him out to an oral surgeon in town. But in his case, he had the surgery and was told he needed to wait 6 months for his gums to heal before the teeth could be installed. Also, another dentist is doing the prosthesis. The surgeon just did the initial surgery and will lance open the gums so the 4 on 1 can be placed. Does this sound like something that could happen? So far we have no complaints because he already has dentures so he looks the same. He has a dentist appointment this week to measure for teeth I think. Thanks. Your videos are very informative.

This is very common and usually the norm from what I have been researching. I go Monday for full mouth extractions and the 4 implants on top and 4 on bottom. I will receive an “immediate dentures” until my gums heal and my mouth is ready for the “snap ins”. I will get my “permanent “ teeth in about six months when I am healed up. I have heard to run if they want to put the “ snap ins” right away and promise your “permanent smile” immediately . There is risk for implant failure, amongst other risks.
I know Dr.’s do things differently, especially as technology changes so frequently.
I hope your husband is doing well!

I did the oral sedation, but yes, I am different, even my wisdom teeth were in the chair, I must admit, after surgery, driving myself back home, was thinking what the heck, but the next day, the pain reduced a lot, again, this depends from patient to patient. Your head must be right to sit in the chair and know you are going to be very aware of every step, my work background made it a lot easier since I am an orthopedic OR RN, and found it all very interesting.

My journey is not as nice as everyone here has planned out. I have lost over forty pounds because I have no interim or temporary. I have not eaten solid food in 6 months and there is no denture that can fit over the lousy pins in my mouth. I hate the fact that I chose the wrong dentist to do this with.
I had my first upper surgery in December and now in July I have a bad bottom and no top. I have lost all confidence in my doctor and look forward to someday chewing food again. This has been a very bad experience with a dentist that does not know this process very well at all. Choose you dentist well and make sure they have done this procedure many, many times before you choose the dentist. I am sure that in another month or two I will have some teeth but right now I am so disappointed with the process that I have been depressed for over three months. Be careful who you choose!

All my molars have fallen out almost the whole tooth would just come right out. I went to the dentist once and I was told that I have periodontal disease and because of me being disabled and not eating, cuz i just don't have an appetite. I was on meds to give me an appetite and still nothing has worked. My teeth are dying from the inside out not outside in. I only have my 2 top front teeth, and only 7 in the front bottom teeth. I'm embarrassed and won't smile I'm severely depressed and have to have 19 roots pulled. The Dentist I had was so great. I felt nothing when I had to have one tooth and one root pulled and felt nothing not even thr needles. I don't have dental insurance, and can't afford to make payments cuz i live off a very small disability check. I've prayed someone would do it probono. I have TMJ. I wake up with painful Jaws and I have a plate in my neck and what's worse it I have sphenoid Cyst in my left nostril and they'd have to pull 2 teeth be removed in order to remove the teeth so all they would have to pull roots. The dentist told Mr I have tons of infection under all the roots left in my mouth. 😔 C😢😢😢 I just want to smile again. I have no self esteem and my dad is dying, I don't have siblings to help out so I feel so alone. Why do these implants have to be so expensive. I was told by my ent I couldn't have traditional dentures, because after a failed seotoplasty my soft pallatte collapsed and I choke on pills etc and with dentures the top piece would almost cut off my airway. Does anyone know of an Angel 😇 of a dentist who would do it pro Bono or for like $200 a month. That's really pushing it to have teeth, but I'll do anything for me to feel whole again and not br emsbbrassee. If everyone saw me now they would flip. ❤

It's tricky with Medicare. Every state is slightly different, however sadly it isint accepted at a large number of dental offices anymore. There are a number of reasons for that, mostly political and financial. Unfortunatly weather it is dental insurance through a job, or private pay, or Medicare.... ALL Dental insurance is just like a coupon program when it comes to coverages. Yes you may get 1 or 2 free cleanings a year, and x-rays, but if you need work or a deeper cleaning it never covers 100% unless you are lucky to have more than 1 dental insurance provider and a dental office biller who knows how to help maximize your yearly allowance towards any purposed treatment plan.
Dental College and training programs may been option to concider, or you simply have to cal all the providers your interested in and ask if they accept Humana PPO. I know a few offices here in Wisconsin where 1 doctor out of 5 in the group is credentialed for billing for it, they are out there, hope you have found one or will🙏🏽
