I've used a frame loom that has brad nails tapped in across the top and bottom to hold the warp thread. There is no warp 'shed' created like your approach shows. The trouble with the method I learned is finishing without unraveling. This an interesting approach. Thank you for posting this!

So when your done weaving how do you take it off with out unraveling everything??
Cut the end. And tie a knot so it’s back to normal is the only way without unraveling.
