Dude! Thank you so much. Laptop updated to Windows 11 and all of my Adobe Apps were getting DLL errors. Couldn't even run uninstallers. Was getting hopeless trying different solutions. Installed the DirectX item you recommended and everything is working again. Zero errors so far. Thank you so much!

i reinstalled windows and saw that start menu was not opening up so i did that command prompt thing and now it says it found some errors but is unable to fix them. it also wrote a log file but its very long and confusing and im unable to find corrupt one's. how can i search for those missing dll's? in my case this doesn't solve the issue the problem is that even if I install the missing dll still the program that warned me of the missing dll doesn't run not even dxwebsetup wont work

Hey, my device show detoured.dll is missing even though it can still found in system32.
Multiple dll files are missing. I downloaded 4 as of now. But as long as I download, new error keeps popping up. First it showed 4 files missing. Now it shows 8. If I download one more. It will become 9
cannot replace the downloaded file in system32 because of trusted installer (windows11)
The command prompt "sfc /scannow" did the trick for me. Thanks.

I've read that replacing dll files from other sites will actually make things worse and damage the pc more.

When i try the directX installer it fails and tells me: ''An internal system error occured. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine problem.'' but i cant find those files.

So i should also reinstall the windows 11??
@@deepanshusingh9313 my system was completely unusable without directx installed, but i don't know if thats the case for you as well. If it is i would recommend a complete reinstall from a bootable usb drive. The windows system recovery didn't work for me.

i have the fix for windows 11 N version
If you are using an N version of Windows, you must install the Media Feature Pack to support media like Games, Films... etc.
Open the Settings App, then go Apps - Optional Features
Is it indicated there, that you have the Media Feature Pack already installed

@@Toni2Go wym restore OS. I did a fresh install of W11 and no change. I started from a fresh install from SSD. Also did a cloud install. No change
@@MaxRollison You need to restore your windows via an usb stick to restore the bootloader as well. With a cloud installation, you will not reset everything. What I meant was to NOT touch any .dll files in the Windows32 folder. Dont ever do this
