Hi, when i first got windows 11 my apple headphones worked but 1 week later it stopped working on windows (headphones are not broken). i did everything you said in video but it still doesnt work. I have had this problem with windows 10 but one day it magically fixed. Everything is up to date and i restarted my pc but its still not working.
@FlyingMonkies325 Thank you mate but my problem is now solved. I didnt have the whole windows 11 installed which didnt detect my headphones. :D
@FlyingMonkies325 idk either tbh I just connected with Microsoft and they took control of my pc and the dude told me that I had like a “prototype” windows 11 so he downloaded the full version and my headphones worked. I also had a watermark on the bottom right of my wallpaper and that got rid of as well
What if widows 11 is inly picking up your headphones as a microphone for no reason

thanks... windows 10 used to automatically switch the sound between earphones and speakers. But here in Windows 11 , we have to do it manually for the first time, it DOESN'T detect the earphones on its own. THANKS ,,, THIS WORKED FOR ME!
Headphones do not pop up when i plug them in. Theres not even an option to switch to them or anything its as if they aren't plugged in. This only started happening after windows 11 and no matter what headphones are plugged in or which port they are in it doesn't work and it doesn't show they are plugged in. Does anybody know a fix for this?

Same here, might be that your headphone port is broken or dusty, I'm confused tho cuz I recently got a brand new dell laptop for xmas and the aux port is just suddenly not working, this was my first time trying it and I heard no audio coming from my headphones, not only that, they appear nowhere. I scanned the aux port from my laptop and it's "empty"???
@@citizenofthebikinibottom5617 I don't think it's the jack. When I reinstall the driver it works until I turn my computer off. Then it stops working again.
This question has been asked before many times and in many ways. Many of the answers offered frequently miss the point. The computer with Windows 11 does not detect the Headset at all. Zilch, nada, nothing. Therefore, there is nothing there to update, enable, or change its settings. I have a Blackweb USB headset that works with a Windows 7 desktop. It has no problem detecting it and applying the proper driver. I tried this headset on two Windows 11 machines (HP Laptop and Lenovo Desktop) and got the same results: nothing. I freely admit that my computer expertise is limited, but the problem is detection, not drivers or settings. As I see it, this is a clear defect of Windows 11 (especially after being out for so long), and another reason why I stayed with my Windows 7 Desktop so long. I'm still very much interested in getting a solution to this problem, but I need an answer to the question I asked-- how do I get my Windows 11 computer to DETECT my headset? Once that happens, I can deal with drivers and settings and this video might be helpful then.
mine shows that my headphones are connected, but no sound plays at all. I’ve tried multiple methods but I’m not sure what to do.

when i plug in my headphones it says no output device detected and when i try and connect it it doesent work can someone help me out?
If you are using ASUS Realtek Audio Control, just click the pop-up when connecting headphones and disable "front panel popup dialog" and choose manually that you are using headphones.

For me it keeps saying the headphones are not plugged in, plugged it into my laptop and technically there was sound but had to twist the plug to the right angle and had to apply pressure. On PC no matter how much I twist nothing happens, and yes it is plugged into the right port. Any ideas?

In my laptop this problem is not fixed..only headphone is working while i'm watching tv but in TH-cam or other platform it not working

Edit: Nvm fixed it I had disabled the main audio driver for audio jack on startup.

Are they appearing when connecting to a different device? Also, try to change your input method if you can (switch USB slots)
It is working only for one time if we disconnect and connect it ,it is not working again

This is in most cases simply the label for your device. You can change it in your "Sound Control Panel" under "Properties".
@@techow I did that and it didn't change me not hearing audio behind me. I had to disable all enhancements in the sound control panel and then I was able to hear audio from behind in games.

Just go to device manager and you can see} sound game controll option } click that choose your sour like realtek} click on that and select update} you can see the option pick my update } and chose the older version of sound drive from it} and click on it and install it } after installing it tell to restart, click ok and check after the restart.
