I verified the game files a few times and it still didn't work, i reinstalled the game and it didn't work, i have the latest version of DirectX because i tried to install it, and i have no updates for audio drivers and of course i scanned for malware but it didnt find anything. Do you have any other ideas?
Sure, here are the next steps: Manually Replace DSOUND.dll: Download from a reputable source and place it in the game's directory and C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\SysWOW64. Run System File Checker: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run sfc /scannow. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure your system is fully updated via Windows Update. Perform a Clean Boot: Disable all non-Microsoft services and startup programs to check for software conflicts. Reinstall Visual C++ Redistributables: Install the latest versions from the Microsoft website. Use Dependency Walker: Identify missing dependencies for DSOUND.dll.
