Thank you much for sharing the recipe and the process. Very much appreciate the 'no gatekeeping' approach. I will be making this! On a related note, I see how well organized your recipe sheet looks, with notes etc. I would love to see/hear you walk through that process about the documenting recipes, the page layout, what you write and why, good recipe sources, etc. Interested in learning about the process and how to better organize. I'm using notebooks for the most part and have purchased some workbooks, but I resort back to notebooks often. Not very efficient or organized! Any and all info appreciated. ❤
You are very welcome - I try to share whenever I feel it is appropriate as for my recipe - this is printed from SoapMaker 3. I have this software that takes care of all of my inventory management, recipe management and sales reports - I would not want to be without it! There is also another one called "crafty base" I think - I don't have any experience with that one though. If you make and sell I would def recommend one of those.
OMG, I love this lip balm! I'm so glad I bought it from you! I can keep it in my pocket at work and it doesn't get runny like other lip balms do. The peppermint flavor has a bit of tingling to it which is cool. Lansinoh (lanolin) is awesome for chapped skin. I've used it for years. I started using it on my kids' red, chapped cheeks when they were teething. It cleared up the skin in no time, and provided a barrier to drool! I'm glad you added it to the recipe. I just buy mine at Walmart in the baby section. It's next to the breast pads and nipple creams. 😊❤😊
Thanks so much Wendy!! I’m so happy you love it!!! 😊💕 I will check out that section - I got mine on Amazon and I know sometimes it is more expensive there. That is why I used a small% - if I can find it more reasonably priced I can up that a bit for better skin benefits! 💕
@ sometimes I use my mechanic brain for soapy things (and cake things). 😂 I wouldn’t use a copper brush for these things, but wanted something stiffer than a toothbrush… so denture brush was the winner. I bought a brand new drywall knife (sanitized of course) to get frosting smooth on a cake because the plastic ones made for baking was $30, but a drywall knife was $2.99 at Ace Hardware. 😂
Hi Tammy! I may try this but don’t have lanolin or pumpkinseed, however I have unrefined hemp and avocado oils. I also have all the rest of ingredients.
Do yourself a favor and purchase a tube of the lanolin. You can find it in a baby isle, or an isle that carries nipple cream/breast pads....GAME CHANGER!!
That sounds great! I’m sure your lip balm will turn out amazing! 😊 - Maybe try it without lanolin and then get a small tube and make with it. I meant to do this but just never got around to it. But I do think I am going to keep it - and maybe up the % just a bit.💕

I am obsessed with your peppermint tallow lip balm!! I was afraid of it at first I will admit. 😅 But oh my god I'm hooked!!
I'm so glad you love it Nora!! 🤗💗
Looks like a beautiful recipe!!
Thanks Sherry! 🤗

A little tip for cleaning those… denture brushes. They’re amazing for cleaning off the blades of the stick blender too. 😉
Holy Crap!!! You are a genius!!! 😀💕

These are so neat Tammy!!!!

Yes for tallow and yes for lanolin
Glad you approve Clivia! (honestly I am LOL) 😆💕

I just love your labels. Mine are so plain, but I can only afford my thermal printer. 😭
oh Aubrey! - I don't know if I could do just a thermal (said with horror in my face 😆) - but I bet yours are fine even with no color 💕
@ it’s all about affordability for me.
@@MsAubrey smart of you! I am working on that for myself!
i would keep the lanolin because it sets your product above the majority. ;)
That is a great point - I agree! Keeping it in 🤗💕
Morning Tammy! 😊
Good morning Aubrey! 🤗
Could you use honey as the sweetener?
I think you could, I have seen honey in lip balms before. I'm just not the one to help with how much to use as I have not tried it before.🤔🤗
