You might want to keep those chains on the gates, might come in handy in the future. If you wanted to put a hot wire along the inside you could cut some timeless post into pieces, and then lag them to the posts for insulators. The corral looks stout! Really turned out nice with the 2x8 and cattle panels, attention to detail, and good planning. Thank you and have a wonderful day

Yes we use both the chain and gate latch because an animal can spring the gate out of the latch if they hit it hard enough. Don’t ask me how I know that…

Our cheif ram is strong enough to lift and break fences if he gets his head under the fence. We learned gentle and slow handling very quick!

Man the timing of this video couldn't be better greg.... I just put my posts in for a handling yard and didn't considering using a combo of boards with cattle panel on top. that looks really slick.. will also hold my sheep too.

I can tell Greg you and your wife are so great full for all that you can accomplish. Hard work pays off and you are living proof of that. I watch a lot of People raising cattle and it shows that you got yours the hard way. I admire that you started out with little. It doesn’t amaze me when I see a rancher and you can tell they are loaded with money. Enjoy your corral you deserve it!

We are grateful for what we have. Hard work and doing without until you can pay for it makes a person certainly appreciate it things later on.

I have had both of those staples. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the barbed ones when I was building my buck pen. The buck I had at the time had almost all those smooth staples popped out! When I rebuilt the pen I went with panel connecters from One Man Fencing. LOVE them!! Staples still have their place, but not necessarily for a buck pen.

It looks pretty nice sir. But I might add that maybe you could think about putting boards on an angle in your square corners so the cattle don't bunch up there. I did that with ours and it made a world of difference in sorting and keeping them in motion.
    Thanks and God Bless

Bud Williams would throw you out of his corral if you suggested that. Bud was the best ever born in handling livestock of any kind.
Cattle when handled properly do much better with square corners than rounded corners.

I'm so excited for the new AbundancePlus course/content! Was the main reason I signed up. BUT the rest of the insane amount of content on that site is mind blowing, and it'll take me months to watch, take notes, re-watch, take more notes, watch again, then watch as I go when applying the knowledge in the content on that site, including what you'll be adding!

Your so funny Greg ole boy like my Pa Pa. It's like watching a history movie. We've been using those staples for years. And we pound those posts with a Hydraulic post driver , (digging is for groundhogs) and use High Tensile woven that is higher, cause cows can launch over. And I love that Jan keeps you on point, cause buddy, you need that in your old age! But you know I'm messin' with ya cause your fans love ya. GW

Setting those posts in gravel makes for a really stout installation, and doesn't rot them out prematurely like setting them in Sakrete does. Nice looking job!

A small suggestion to think about, possibly running some boards along the back of the green building to keep the cattle from leaning and scratching on it. Tin buildings can be bad about cattle denting them.

Beautiful improvement to your operation. Im visiting Amish County in Holmes County Ohio. So much opportunity for rotational grazing sadly not being done.i drove by one weedy pasture that could be beautiful just down the road there must of been 20 round bales rotting in place. Of course the Amish don't have electricity but could use solar chargers.

If you have cattle jumping out of a 54” high corral, you either have wild cattle or your working them to fast. Heck we build a single 1 wire fence at 30” tall out in the pasture to sort from and it ain’t even charged with electricity. They don’t go through it. Sell the crazy ones and enjoy your life😊😊
