I agree with everything but there is one problem here and thatsthat there is so much people on the worldright nowand im just curious if this tipe of farming would produce enough food for the whole planet. Please dont get me wrong, I am also farming like this and i know that my cows arent getting on weight as much and as quick as the cows on the extensive farms. I can't afford your products but I grab them up when they go on sale at the store. I bought a chuck steak at Walmart the other day. It was so tasteless I had to keep adding salt. After we were done I watched a farm video that said some meat was from Argentina but if it was packaged here it could say USDA BEEF. And I thought pink slime was outlawed years ago. Nope, Walmart and Costco and several others have PINK SLIME IN THEIR Meats! I can't afford not to buy farm fresh meat.

As a suburban dweller, with a field opposite me, Will is one of the influencers for me to find the landowner of this now unused land and make a go of regen farming. This short documentary is an excellent short explainer to get people interested; I have a shelf full of books now on the topic, including "A bold return to giving a damn", this video encompasses all the information I want to pass on to get others interested in combating the current ideology of removing animals from the land.

I’ve been eating a plant based/vegan diet for 10 years. And I believe the way this farmer and many others are approaching raising animals is 100% the right way to go. Just seeing how happy the animals are and hearing this man speak brought tears to my eyes and hope to my heart. Blessings to all these farmers that chose to give the animals a life they deserve ❤ and may many more follow in their footsteps 🙏
If you are Truly Vegan , then you wouldn’t be praising people for giving animals high welfare , when you know that the ultimate purpose of this farming method is the same as any other ; which is to own, exploit , and eventually murder these animals to turn them into a food product. You need to take a deeper look at the ethics of animal liberation , and have the courage to take a stand for the rights of the animals to not be viewed as commodities and food products.

In Australia, many activists think that all farms are effectively feedlots, which is strange given practices that have been legally required for decades. The vast majority of farmers actively petition against feedlots being allowed into their regions because of the reduced quality of life for animals. This shows a total lack of awareness or wilful ignorance on the part of activists. It should also be noted that daily paddock rotation breaks parasite life cycles, reducing disease in animals.

Hello Harris I have been trying to get this into Swedish farming. My experience is that my Government actively work aginst this. At one time, I had been pushing, a film was produced by the government "Sista Skörden", The last crop. In that film it was admitted that 50% of minerals were gone from crops. And under such circumstance any disease could develop. What you are doing reminds me of Jill Clapperton. The Ph.D I chose to follow became Elaine Ingham. Composting for critters to populate soil with. The tool to know what is braught to soil is a microscope. She have quite a few videos on TH-cam. Me I could never get a business going. You see I found these faming methods in the late eighties. My realisation was that the only thing big enough to be able to change farming methods world wide was to combine farming with energy production. Firstly for the farm itself. I do not want farms food production to be dependent on energy from untrustworthy partners. Are you running your machines on ethanol? The biggest problem is what can be done is to good to be true. Just think of health benefits! How are your cattle doing health wise? Good food givs the same benefits to people. Powers that be is our obstacle. Thank you for what you are doing. Thank you for this film. I am in Sweden by the way. Here our Government is working against this kind of development.
Thank for this enlightening documentary, it is important to uncover the untruth that are told to consumers everywhere. This is not an eye opener for me because my family and I have been researching this practice for some years now, six years ago we move to rural America where I taught my wife to plant vegetables and other food it has been a delight for our family. Thanks to Mr Harris for the way he chooses to raise and market his animals. He mentioned that there was not as much money as the big producers but in the end he comes out as the winner because he is protecting what God gave to mankind while others a ruining it! I believe that this is the only food that supports health. I am not always able to afford it but it is my intention to buy local from producers like you, Mr. Harris. There is another huge benefit to soil building in the arid west. The huge landscapes will act as a sponge and provide more water to lakes and rivers. Those endangered salmon you hear about can benefit from quality grazing practices that reduce winter floods and improve summer water flows. Yes, this helps the beaver help the land in addition. It takes a whole watershed to heal land and water, not just a beaver pond. The video does need to do a better job to teach that the manure of the cattle breaks down the forage to create the topsoil along with the help of the soil biota.
Really interesting video. I grew up on a farm in Australia, and when I watch these videos on regenerative farming my initial reaction is to find them weird because growing up all of this was just smart farming. Having been in the food industry for my career I've realised that 95% of farmers want to farm this way. Corporations are what drive the bad animal farming practices we have globally. Because they aren't interested in environment welfare, animal welfare or farming welfare. They are interested in the growth rate of the next qtr. While we have governments who priortize food supply based on monetary growth rather than sustainability we'll unfortunately not have the right number of farmers who farm the land, rather than farm for growth.
Mr. Harris, thank you for what you do. If more consumers used their local producers like yourself and if the FDA would get out of the way then we would all be better off. The politicians that have accepted the money and allowed the big companies to control the marketplace should all be kicked out of parliaments all over the world. Let a local area meat packer set up and work with the farmers. We have gone back to the old ways ourselves and only raise beef for family and close friends as we got older. We cut our cow herd down from 350 cows to 25 and utilize a local butcher and everyone is much healthier and happier, I just wish people would back to working with the local farmers and didn't fall for the marketing from the big chains.
You're hundreds of years too late. Government took land from natives and gave it to white men. But market in ag doesn't always work, e.g. booms/busts, huge surplus during Depression & eaters. Don't you think we'd be better off if the incentives that determine the rules of the market were created by farmers and eaters, not the monopolies? Monopolies won't go away until people get the govt to work for the people.
Great docco. It raises the elephant in the room. Saving our soil, our health, our earth, is more expensive than the alternative where in matters. On the shelf in front of the person buying it This problem is as crucial as any part of regenerative ag. I believe to get 100% of food production regenerative, we have to also bring the cost of food down. We have to get regenerative to be not only the cheapest option now but to continue to drive the price down further and make food over all cheaper.
I get that, but CAFO style farming is really bad for the environment, regardless if it has to do with climate change. I actually want to try the carnivore diet soon!

He is right on the farming information he is giving. But there is not enough good farm ground left to provide the population with food. It takes both types of farming practices to keep the world feed.

Additionally, upon reaching their destination, they use a convoy of 10 cars or more for their security, further contributing to pollution. Are they truly concerned about the environment? These same individuals vehemently criticize cattle farming, meat consumption, and the agricultural industry. Why aren't they confronting the major fashion labels and clothing brands that produce thousands of items every day, fueling a relentless consumer system? Why aren't documentaries being made to criticize the high consumption of trivial products manufactured in China and sold online? Remember: clothes and trinkets can last for many years, while food is needed daily. Are they not targeting the wrong business?

I’ve been eating a plant based/vegan diet for 10 years. And I believe the way this farmer and many others are approaching raising animals is 100% the right way to go. Just seeing how happy the animals are and hearing this man speak brought tears to my eyes and hope to my heart. Blessings to all these farmers that chose to give the animals a life they deserve ❤ and may many more follow in their footsteps 🙏

If you are Truly Vegan , then you wouldn’t be praising people for giving animals high welfare , when you know that the ultimate purpose of this farming method is the same as any other ; which is to own, exploit , and eventually murder these animals to turn them into a food product. You need to take a deeper look at the ethics of animal liberation , and have the courage to take a stand for the rights of the animals to not be viewed as commodities and food products.
@@DavidBlodgett David , do you still send these animals to slaughterhouses ? You still view these sentient beings as commodities and food products? So you don’t have enough respect for these creatures to just leave them alone. You are not saving the world , the world includes non human animals who do not desire to be your steak or your burger.

In Australia, many activists think that all farms are effectively feedlots, which is strange given practices that have been legally required for decades. The vast majority of farmers actively petition against feedlots being allowed into their regions because of the reduced quality of life for animals. This shows a total lack of awareness or wilful ignorance on the part of activists.
It should also be noted that daily paddock rotation breaks parasite life cycles, reducing disease in animals.

I have been trying to get this into Swedish farming. My experience is that my Government actively work aginst this. At one time, I had been pushing, a film was produced by the government "Sista Skörden", The last crop. In that film it was admitted that 50% of minerals were gone from crops. And under such circumstance any disease could develop. What you are doing reminds me of Jill Clapperton. The Ph.D I chose to follow became Elaine Ingham. Composting for critters to populate soil with. The tool to know what is braught to soil is a microscope. She have quite a few videos on TH-cam. Me I could never get a business going. You see I found these faming methods in the late eighties. My realisation was that the only thing big enough to be able to change farming methods world wide was to combine farming with energy production. Firstly for the farm itself. I do not want farms food production to be dependent on energy from untrustworthy partners. Are you running your machines on ethanol? The biggest problem is what can be done is to good to be true. Just think of health benefits! How are your cattle doing health wise? Good food givs the same benefits to people. Powers that be is our obstacle.

Thank for this enlightening documentary, it is important to uncover the untruth that are told to consumers everywhere. This is not an eye opener for me because my family and I have been researching this practice for some years now, six years ago we move to rural America where I taught my wife to plant vegetables and other food it has been a delight for our family. Thanks to Mr Harris for the way he chooses to raise and market his animals. He mentioned that there was not as much money as the big producers but in the end he comes out as the winner because he is protecting what God gave to mankind while others a ruining it! Green washing please continue to expose this subject. Thank you for the hard work and effort that was put into this documentary.
I believe that this is the only food that supports health. I am not always able to afford it but it is my intention to buy local from producers like you, Mr. Harris. I pray that the day comes when you are seeing that shift you dream of seeing in the consumer mindset. Thank you for explaining green washing. The eggs sold at my local co-op are the best damn eggs around with orange yolks and delicious flavor. Farmed the way nature intended, it bears out what you are preaching. I believe that big food is happy to make us ill so we end up customers of big pharma. It's all the same owners behind both. Food is life or death accordingly. TY for whsg you are doing!❤
There is another huge benefit to soil building in the arid west. The huge landscapes will act as a sponge and provide more water to lakes and rivers. Those endangered salmon you hear about can benefit from quality grazing practices that reduce winter floods and improve summer water flows. Yes, this helps the beaver help the land in addition. It takes a whole watershed to heal land and water, not just a beaver pond. The video does need to do a better job to teach that the manure of the cattle breaks down the forage to create the topsoil along with the help of the soil biota.
so much to cover in one 30 minute video. It was so hard to cut it down during the edit.

Really interesting video. I grew up on a farm in Australia, and when I watch these videos on regenerative farming my initial reaction is to find them weird because growing up all of this was just smart farming. Having been in the food industry for my career I've realised that 95% of farmers want to farm this way. Corporations are what drive the bad animal farming practices we have globally. Because they aren't interested in environment welfare, animal welfare or farming welfare. They are interested in the growth rate of the next qtr. While we have governments who priortize food supply based on monetary growth rather than sustainability we'll unfortunately not have the right number of farmers who farm the land, rather than farm for growth.
So true, our system perpetuates because all of our food has been turned into tradable commodities rather than the individual farmer's product.

Mr. Harris, thank you for what you do. If more consumers used their local producers like yourself and if the FDA would get out of the way then we would all be better off.
The politicians that have accepted the money and allowed the big companies to control the marketplace should all be kicked out of parliaments all over the world. Let a local area meat packer set up and work with the farmers.
We have gone back to the old ways ourselves and only raise beef for family and close friends as we got older. We cut our cow herd down from 350 cows to 25 and utilize a local butcher and everyone is much healthier and happier, I just wish people would back to working with the local farmers and didn't fall for the marketing from the big chains.
This is what is needed in the world.

We have to get government out of our food…once that happens, that 85% monopoly will go away. It won’t be able to compete.
You're hundreds of years too late. Government took land from natives and gave it to white men. But market in ag doesn't always work, e.g. booms/busts, huge surplus during Depression & eaters. Don't you think we'd be better off if the incentives that determine the rules of the market were created by farmers and eaters, not the monopolies? Monopolies won't go away until people get the govt to work for the people.

Great docco. It raises the elephant in the room. Saving our soil, our health, our earth, is more expensive than the alternative where in matters. On the shelf in front of the person buying it This problem is as crucial as any part of regenerative ag. I believe to get 100% of food production regenerative, we have to also bring the cost of food down. We have to get regenerative to be not only the cheapest option now but to continue to drive the price down further and make food over all cheaper.

He is right on the farming information he is giving. But there is not enough good farm ground left to provide the population with food. It takes both types of farming practices to keep the world feed.

**Hypocrisy**
The individuals advocating for reduced meat consumption often travel by private jet, which generates a high level of pollution! Additionally, upon reaching their destination, they use a convoy of 10 cars or more for their security, further contributing to pollution. Are they truly concerned about the environment?
These same individuals vehemently criticize cattle farming, meat consumption, and the agricultural industry. Why aren't they confronting the major fashion labels and clothing brands that produce thousands of items every day, fueling a relentless consumer system?
Why aren't documentaries being made to criticize the high consumption of trivial products manufactured in China and sold online? Remember: clothes and trinkets can last for many years, while food is needed daily. Are they not targeting the wrong business?
