We live in southeastern Illinois on a 41 acre homestead. We just finished building our log cabin in 2018. Now we are focused on trying to grow our own food and raise livestock. Follow us on our journey we continue to develop our homestead and farm, while becoming more self sufficient.

My wife and I truly enjoy watching your content. I especially appreciate the fact that you do not edit out your mistakes.
Great Video. Sir.
Thanks for sharing Evan 👍🏻
You look much more relaxed and happier since you "retired"! Bravo!
Enjoyed the solar content more "Sparky" projects would be appreciated.
Evan, the best thing about your videos, especially today's videos, is your body language and facial expressions are showing that you are enjoying what you are doing. Don't worry about what we think as long as you are doing what you want, when you want. Thanks for another good video.
Evan we enjoy your videos and thank you for sharing your farm life and chores with us. Have a great rest of your week.
Hi..... Sir, Evan and Mam, Rebecca thanks you for showing your video homestead bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Glad to see your peaches has done so wel. Beautiful farm.
Evan, you're not missing out on 'enjoying yourself', your mentality is to do what it is that drives you. The jobs you do on a daily basis (and more so the outcome) IS your enjoyment. You and Rebecca work hard for what you've got, keep on trucking 🦾. Love from Liverpool, England.
I really enjoy watching your videos. I have a small homestead and you motivate me to get all those small jobs I need to do accomplished. I love this lifestyle and love watching you all live yours. Thanks.
My husband and I always ask ourselves, "What did I do for 'the good of the cause' today?" Sometimes it's just walking to the mailbox or making dinner, but it was something that helped us make it through another day. We're both pushing 80 and have been married for 56 years, so the "cause" often feels like it's getting through today and waking up tomorrow! You and Rebecca are at a great time in your lives. Enjoy every minute of it! God bless.
Well done your job even though it is terribly hot day. Take care of your health and have good luck at all times 😊
One good thing about your videos is that you share your thought process; a very engaging style.
Thanks Evan!
It’s nice to see a normal day. I appreciate the videos.
Great video thanks again for sharing it with us all and hope you all are doing well and staying safe mate
I don’t know about anyone else but I really enjoyed this video!!!!
The reason you are our favourite youtuber is the variety. We are enjoying watching your everyday life.
If looking for more cattle the National Red Poll Sale is Sept 28 in Lexington TN will have Bulls , Cows, and Heifers. Some will be halter broke Red Polls are great breed for freezerbeef. Good mothers and good temperament
Maya is just so cute. I bet she will have the cutest little calves.
Great job of fixing the old farm. This countryneeds more of this love your vidoes
Now that you have more than enough pasture, it may not be a bad idea to have your own bull. My parents had about 15 head of beef cattle or so from 1975-1983 on a 30 acre farm. They got a Black Angus bull when he was a calf. I was too young to remember if he was weaned already so they may not have bottle fed but one thing they did was they got him used to people and pet him alot as he grew up and gave him an apple every so often. This made him much more manageable. We could walk right up to him and pet him but we definitely still respected him and had to keep a close eye around him. Dad usually separated him from the herd a month or so out of the year so the females weren't calving over winter. It wasn't too hard to separate him because we could coax him into the pen with a few apples. Too bad the AI didn't work.
You are so true, true to yourself. We love your channel, mistakes and all. Reminds us of us when we were farming. We still have the farm, minus the cattle. Time flies when you are building it up, goes too fast til you have to let a part of it go due to health and age. Just a thought, buy a few already bred heifers right now while you are waiting to decide on a bull. You have plenty of pasture and enough hay.
Oh Evan! Take us along! I love your busy life, watched since you were in the camper up front, loved your t.v. Area most! lol! Hope your heifers are fertile! Nice seeing a glimpse of wifey too! Couldn’t see if had her flip flops on!
Good video Evan. Looks like you are enjoying yourself. Keeping busy, keeps us sane.
Your hard work on the farm is inspirational. Love seeing all the daily routines and chores that need to be done. Also, I like how you were able to rig your water sprinkler and be resourceful from the pond. Enjoyed watching per usual!
Mixture of everything is the best!
You are easily the most likeable guy on TH-cam. Love the channel
I will never forget watching Evan work his hay all by himself. He said he had never in his life work in hay. He has really been through a lot. They both love their farm.
Daily mixture vids are perfect, you see things gain every day, the inside look of your daily lives is the interesting parts, your thoughts, working through problems. keep up the good work.
The best part of my day, a new video from Country View Acres!!!
You had a great day, you didn’t break anything!
Perhaps....but a good day for Evan is a bad day fo us....usually produces no content (or the smug "satisfaction" that we, WE "know better" and would "never" have done that.....however, if confession is---as claimed---good for the soul, Evan must have a beautiful one....!
Evan, this has been my absolute favorite channel for the past two years. It always makes my day when I see a new video, so it’s been extra great lately with more frequent videos. I especially love just watching every day chores and projects. They are very interesting as well as motivating for me to get some of the chores I tend to put off done. thank you for making such a great channel 😍
I agree with starting the beef cows and getting a bull! I think you guys are very setup for them
Then you could raise your own beef
Still My Favorite Channel - those 20 +- minutes just fly by - Well Done
I don't get to watch every video, but every time I stop by it puts a smile on my face! Love what you guys are doing! Keep it up! 👊

In my opinion I think you have the perfect life style. Love watching your videos. Thanks for taking us along on your every day work out
That was a great day for everyone on the farm. A lot of little work completed for the day, a couple things worked out really well and some problems solved for everyone. Sure glad you have good neighbors and all get along. It is always enjoyable watching what you do around the farm. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and the fun you all have. Fred.
I'm retired from a power plant in Illinois 12yrs now I have to keep busy every day also. I raise beef cattle now and do my own hay. Thanks for the videos
Keep film daily stuff. I enjoy watching you. From arkansas
Regarding sprinklers, not today, but run a water pipe underground to the pond, T off it at garden, run it up the fence and permanently mount the sprinkler heads on top of the fence.
Making great progress around the farm.
Love love seeing the daily grind! Satisfies me when I cant get to my land!
Always a pleasure. Onward!

A active body stays active !!!!! Thanks for sharing , love your videos !!!!! 😊🙏👍❤️
That dry-earse board is looking a little empty😂😂😂 Dont forget about Rebecca's book shelf. Thanks for sharing your day with us!!
What about an Irish Dexter bull! Would make a great cross with jersey( mine are) and could be dairy or beef replacement and smal sized( somewhat safer).
I love your channel,,don't change, you and your wife are so lucky, and adorable.
We also have a small farm but we are in Virginia and it's nice to see we have the same problems/issues as you. Makes us feel a little better knowing we aren't alone.
Wave 👋 from Minnesota 😎❄️☃️🏂❤ love the Homestead projects. Yes, i agree to keep all the mishaps or broken items to hang on the wall 🧱😁☝️👏😎🚜❤
Best have a big wall space dedicated to this if you plan on "keepin' at it" a while...
Lovin' Walz!
From Indy,, hot here too, going to Maine Friday to eat seafood, and drink😊 and hang ,fish with daughter and her hubby…..
Thanks for posting guys
I paint right over Phosgo (Ospho) according to instructions on the jug. But if your rust is still "red" you should re-apply the phosphoric acid until the rust turns black (Iron tannate) which is stable (inert). Re-apply Phosgo/Ospho right over the first application, ideally while the first coat is still somewhat damp which re-solves and reinforces the first app. Always enjoy your videos. Where's Rebekah? (Never mind; we know... she's at work.... we need nurses too...) btw, Glacial Phosphoric Acid is a "stock item" at any chemical supply house. Add detergent or any other "sticker" you like---but don't dilute the acid too much. The stuff in the jug has a pretty green dye and surfactants, but is only about 5% glacial....do the math.
Love the videos! Your livestock looks happy and healthy
Love to see happy cows on new pasture.
We are here for the little odd jobs! “Evan, take us with you around the farm.” 😂
This was a fun video. Liked the variety
Good video love the background views and the switching around. Thanks 😊
It's great to watch your videos, keep up the good work.❤
I’m waiting to see the wood shed get rebuilt .👍👍
always enjoy your videos. you're getting a lot done. Homestead looking awesome.
Love watching your videos. All jobs are important, big or little. Glad you take us along and share your farm life with us.
Great video, Evan!
The video graphic content and quality is way beyond all others channels. Early morning light and the filters you use brings forth the richness of what’s in the view finder. Adding the drone footage is the cherry on top! Great job I hope other viewers appreciate the quality! Stay Farmer Strong and safe! You can wash down the pipes with tri sodium phosphate or TSP it’s alkaline.
I enjoy the daily variety, keep em coming.
I think the safest place to be right now is on a farm, growing your own produce. That was the case back in the depression years. Nothing thrown away and nothing wasted and yet the people were happy. Best inovations and the kitchen appliances lasted a long time. They were worth fixing because they were so well made. It brough a lot of people together out of necessity.
Enjoy your farm
I love the title of this video 😊
Just bought a 6 foot Walco mower ,like that , at an auction , I love it. , works great. , cut down a lot of weeds and cramp. Looks. A lot better
I truly love watching the daily things on the farm please keep sharing all of it with us 🙏 😂😂❤
When I retired, I said that Tuesdays would be a "no list, no jobs" day. What ever happened ....happened. I could not do it! My "to do" list is how my brain works. I have been able to put things on the list for the next day though.... if I don't accomplish what I plannned to do.
Since you became a full time farmer, the little odd jobs are all part of the day on a farm and the big jobs and the little jobs all contribute to the success of the farm and you and Rebeca do a great job of taking care of the farm.
Great job
Thank you for braving the heat. I look forward to your content more than any other channel I'm subscribed to. The small job videos are the best.
The little odd jobs are just as important as the big jobs, we love them just the same.
Beautiful drone footage!!! ❤
Love you channel, love the Content, keep up the hard work
It was great when I had my Jersey, there was a 4h family that had bulls they’d rent out! One angus & a shorthorn. Super mellow guys & the people would drop them off & pick ‘em up when you were ready, and those bulls got the job done 👍
Looks like you could do with an outdoor shower! You have a beautiful property, I enjoy your videos! Cheers 😊
Completely agree with you about waiting for the cooler temperatures!!!
Like all the different farm jobs,it’s very interesting to those of us who can no longer do anything!
You are truly talented in everything you do.enjoy all your videos. Keep up the good work and I will follow.
Evan, I really enjoy your videos. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep watching.
I really enjoy watching your channel !
If you want a bull, get a Hereford as they're great and known to be docile. With regular petting they can be super pets. They're also known for their beef.
Thanks for sharing a day in the life of….👍
Another great video. I love your background music when you're working. Thank you.
God bless.
I have been following your videos for a while now and truly enjoy them! You guys have a beautiful home and property! I can’t imagine the amount of work it takes to maintain it!
