Investing in Roth IRA can be a good choice since they are funded with after tax dollars, your contributions can grow tax-free over time. When you withdraw money from your Roth IRA in retirement, you won’t have to pay tax on it, which will help you keep more of your hard-earned money. I retired with 5 million dollars

People don't really know this, You need to create your own process, manage risk and stick to the plan, through thick or thin while also continuously learning from mistakes and improving.

On the contrary, even if you’re not skilled, it is still possible to hire one. I am a project manager and my personal port-folio of approximately $750k took a big hit in April due to the crash. I quickly got in touch with a financial-planner that devised a defensive strategy to protect and profit from my port-folio this red season. I’ve made over $150k since then

Keep it simple, buy things you understand, take some risk but don't try to shoot the lights out. Talk to a CFA if you really aren't sure. I am with *Lina Dineikiene* .I conservatively follow her recommendations and guidance on market entry and exit points, and tbh this approach makes investing fairly simple and worthwhile. I am convinced it's not just hard work but smart work :-)

For a long time, I got caught up in lifestyle inflation. Every time I got a raise, I found a way to spend more, and soon enough, what felt like luxuries became part of my daily life. I think this happens to a lot of people, but it took me a while to notice. When I finally stopped and reevaluated what really mattered to me, I realized I could redirect that money toward savings and investments instead. Now, I’m on track to reach $4 million in retirement savings, which honestly feels surreal. And to top it off, I've developed a habit of watching finance content, something I used to avoid like the plague

I agree, luck plays a role, especially early on, but consistent results tend to come from more than just luck. Accurate asset allocation is crucial, I used hedging strategies to allocate part of my portfolio to defensive assets for market downturns. Expert guidance is vital for achieving this. This approach has helped me stay financially secure for over five years, yielding nearly $1 million in returns on investments.

Your allocation seems well-diversified. To take it to the next level, explore dollar-cost averaging and dividend reinvestment. However, it's essential to consult with a financial advisor to create a tailored plan aligned with your unique goals, risk tolerance, and retirement timeline.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

I like how you break investing down and make it a step-by-step process. I would like to learn at what stage you diversify your portfolio (i.e. buy a few different ETF's, etc.)? How much percentage of your portfolio should it be dedicated to say 1 ETF? At what stage/milestone do I buy 3-5 different ETF's?

Yes. It is very easy to buy in on trending stocks but the problem is knowing when to sell or hold, which is why a coach is important.
