I noticed when we were in your area, that good wills there dont do tag color sales. Most goodwills elsewhere have a tag color of the week with a 20%-50% off discount.
My goodwills are on northern the Wa/id border and I’ve never heard of a discount for donating, but will definitely ask. If so, I don’t think it’s advertised aside from the senior/veteran discount days and daily 50% off tag color.
Im in Michigan and I have only been to one Goodwill in Plainwell Mi that gives you a discount coupon for donating. Have not seen it in Kalamazoo or Battle Creek MI or Marshall Mi. I have not donated to the one in Lansing Mi so idk. No other thrift stores offer a coupon but that one that I know of.
Goodwill SoCal (LA area ONLY - excludes Orange County, San Diego, and Riverside/San Berdoo - confusing, I KNOW) offers a monthly 20% off any purchase over $30 coupon, and you can reuse it as often as you like. No donating required; it’s a simple mailing list sign up on their website then they send it to your email on the 1st every month. With thrift store prices being what they are these days - esp in our area - IDK what we’d do as resellers without it; we source so much inventory outta GW’s that it has proven truly indispensable. Be a sad day when they finally take it away… 😢
No discount coupon for donating to Goodwill in NC. They just changed a few things where if an item (hard goods/wares) has a price tag after 3 full days they will take 50% off. However, they of course mark the item up well over what they would have originally mark it.
no discounts at my goodwill for donating but they do do 50% off color tags different colors every week and on Tuesdays it's two dollar Tuesdays for whatever color it is
Can confirm 20% coupon for donating at Goodwill in Montana. People driving through often ask me what the color of the week is, and look personally insulted when I inform them Montana Goodwills don't do color discounts. 😛
No discounts for donating to GW in Chicagoland. They do have a color of the week 50% off and a few other random benefits for a customer appreciation day once a month, and a birthday month discount.
I will say my weakness is never wanting to pay more than 5 dollars for an item no matter how much profit can be had because I am so used to getting items dirt cheap.
I sometime see you talk about you can find good stuff to resell even when people are blaming other resellers and other things. Yet you don't talk about goodwill employees. My family member works at a goodwill store and he sometimes buys stuff from the store he works, sometimes he is given things, and/or sometimes he will take them.
His point is generally that there are always opportunities to make money, regardless of if there are other resellers and/or thrift employees picking up a lot of finds. There will ALWAYS be more finds. It’s about expanding your eye rather than finding reasons you can’t find what you’re looking for.
Which DI was that don’t worry I’m not gonna shop it. I’m just curious I am handicap and I’m pretty well. Stuck shopping the Saratoga Springs and American Fork deice that’s it.
0:02 Really interesting choice lol
8:24 There’s always golf clubs & golf bags at our thrift stores.

Do you test those car radios? I've gotten lucky so far selling used radios I've not tested!😂

We do not get a discount for donating. There could be an outlier that does that, but I haven't found it yet. (WI)

My goodwill does not discounts for donating. They might as well charge you more for donating at the prices they charge.

What happened to the retirement community sale?
Huh?
@JridePicks the video started out with you going to a retirement sale then suddenly switched to you in line going into a thrift store
20% off one item with donation here in Washington.

I watched a couple videos lol
No such thing here in Hawaii. Savers change their coupons to 20% off $100
