- In 1843, Adolph Sax invented the family of "saxhorns". Few years ago, an instrument very similar to the bass saxhorn begin to be used in the french orchestras. This instrument will be call the "French Tuba" and was used until 1970.
This recital/conference is a brief abstract of this story.
