The St Edward’s Crown was placed on the King’s head by the Archbishop of Canterbury during the Coronation ceremony.

What a wonderful ceremony. The chior did such a marvelous job. They deserver a round of applause at the end.
I bet my head on the fact that in those couples of minutes after he was crowned all his life since he was a child flashed through his mind, the memories of his grandfather the king, his mother the queen flashed through his mind, 70 plus years to reach that moment!

The queen completely hogged the crown when there was no reason she couldn’t have stepped down say 20 years ago. This has left Charles with maybe 10-15 years when he is healthy enough to be king. At least William will get the crown before he’s an old man.

@@utabain I would try rereading my comment many times and getting a primary school aged friend to help. I would also ask them to help you with the spelling of the word "coronated". They also did not happen at 11pm. Generally, funeral and coronation services aren't conducted at one hour to midnight. For some reason, people prefer to conduct them during the day. Aside from that, you did get the 2 dates correct and that part was very well done.

While I certainly acknowledge the significance of the Royal family, I can't help but notice the numerous potholes on our roads, the societal division, and the people in need of support across our country. It's my belief that the funds spent on the coronation could have been better directed towards filling the potholes and addressing the needs of those who require assistance, in an effort to bring our society together. It's disheartening to see this important matter overlooked, but I still extend my sincere well wishes to the new King and Queen, and my hope for a brighter future for the UK.
The money they spent on putting a hat on an old man's head could be been spent to help the country.
