- Queen Camilla has been anointed and crowned at a ceremony in Westminster Abbey.
The ceremony saw Queen Mary's Crown placed upon Camilla's head, shortly after Charles III was crowned King.
Music and symbolism rang out inside Westminster Abbey while gun salutes and cheers were heard around the country.

The other consort crowns are either too old and worn out, or contain jewels (the Koh-i-Noor for instance) that evoke cultural sensitivity when displayed. Making a new crown would have significantly elevated the cost at a time of severe economic strife. Queen Mary is long deceased, therefore she is not the least bit insulted that Camilla wore her crown.

The consort word did not get lost. Camilla IS the queen consort. Queen consort is not a title. It is the descriptive name for the king’s wife. It distinguishes her from a queen regnant such as Queen Elizabeth II. But Camilla’s style/title is Her Majesty The Queen. Every king’s wife has that style/title. Queen Camilla became Her Majesty The Queen on September 8, 2022, but was temporarily styled as the Queen Consort to avoid confusion with the late Queen Elizabeth and to ease the transition. They chose the Coronation as an arbitrary date to officially use her rightful style/title of Her Majesty The Queen.

I think this situation is the very foundation of Harry's discontent and why I feel so disappointed that no one seems to understand him. Plus, Diana herself said that the Royals treated her abominably. That statement garnished sympathy for her, and rightfully so but sadly, the same comments only bring contempt for her youngest son, Harry. :(
