Thank you so much for teaching me to appreciate the depth of this music. I've never aware of those levels of jazz solo, although I always loved this ritm.
I used to sing cover songs with a band. I listen to drums and bass often to get the beat (and beat drop) and flow of a song. However I know people who can’t keep time and tempo no matter how much they try. I am thankful that i have a good sense of rhythm in my dna. Because for some it is beyond what they can learn.

I must be musically/acoustically challenged. I don't hear most of the beats, even when they are being clearly pointed out in this video. Maybe if I could see every member of the band playing an instrument, and then a huge red arrow pointing to the instrument that had the beat and flashing red on the beat every time. I just don't get jazz at all listening to it, and it's frustrating.

Could you please recommend something for understanding the jazz musics basics. I am doing practice for jazz moves but i always get the feeling that i am not connecting with jazz music

Learn how to play drums. Not to be a drummer but It will teach you to keep time and beat.
