Hey guys, today I'm gonna show you my 1 YEAR transformation of ELECTRO SWING dancing!
When I was 13, I started to dance Line & Square Dance, then I moved to Shuffle. Anyday I've seen JSM's Delight video and it was a great inspiration! Every month I got a little bit better, and in may 2018 I've reached my first thousand subscriber.

Thank you so much 💗🙏
I want to learn!
I have a small question, i try learning e swing dance since 4 Weeks and i would like to know what steps you would say are the best for beginners.
Please stop dancing.
The dance move at 1:27-1:30
What is that called?
I'd like to learn it
@@jacksont9455 It's called spongebob move
i bet she has a dancing ratatouille under the hat
1:36 If you look closely...
The rat's called Rémy ffs

She takes it off from time to time lol
That is the cleanest garage i've ever seen.
It's a german garage
I was wondering if a car can fit inside of if cause of the door
That is the smoothest water I've ever seen
IT'S MY DANCE STUDIO, 𝘾𝘼𝙍𝙇
@@melima_ no, we Germans have our 'plund' in there XD and a bike a car and a Grascutter.
Growing up in the rave scene and Dutch culture this is so wild to me. It mixes old school rave dance like the shuffle and tektonik with swing. Very cool
but I wish the music... was swing. I mean, this ain't no swing beat.
She even played some Ixindamix from SP23 :D
I noticed that too! Pretty cool dance style.
Subtle, but definitely noticed the gradual improvement in your balance. Really showed in the faster moves in the last couple of months. Really fun video, my kids love it!
aww thanks!!
I feel like when it comes to shuffling there is only a small difference between looking criminally insane and dancing super cool
She falls into the latter definitely.
It's all in the confidence...
Why not both
this is so true
its your close and your attitude
What I love the most is that not only her technique gets better in each video but that in each one her energy gets even crazier which makes it seem like each passing month she's just loving to dance even more
Probabley and maybe she lost the camera shynees, but Most likely got her cadio fascular System improved.
Dancing is just great for Fitness
I'd call it confidence

As a metal head, electro swing and this style of dancing is a very pleasing discovery.
GROWLS IN CELEBRATION
Dude same but I gotta say that the genre get boring if you have to much BUT the dancing fits with everything
@@Deboifrager its because this type of electro swing has some similar moves to shuffle dance, which is the modern edm dance genre

Although the transformation is impressive, what really stunned me was the ability to keep a garage clutter free for a whole year.
such a mood.
you never know whats behind the camera 😅
All the junk that must be piled up inside the house! Oh, well…. it was worth it. I enjoyed this very much.
You cant see behind the camera haha.
Thank you for the laugh! 🤣
I like how the style goes from casual to, "let's add a hat. Oh, and a nice shirt. Can't forget the shoes." She becomes electro swing
In Germany we have a comedian, that once said: "People nowadays wear hats not often enough." - Helge Schneider. And I must admit, so I am all into that hat!
Not sure how I got here, nor why so late, but what I like most about this video is how much fun she's having. It's obvious that dancing is a big part of her happiness.
Look at her effect on this guy 4:39
Dancing and the joy it brings is infectious
I'm very interested in shuffling as it would express my creative side as I get back into shape. At 63 I'm back into aerobics and light weight lifting. But watching Smilin transform from rhythmic basics to outright smoothly gliding with energy and astounding artwork of dance. Wow! Gotta git me some(moves).

I gotta dance more!
Moin moin from northern to southern Germany and the rest of the world.
This seems to be the „old-age department“ of this thread. I think I like it here, being 50 by now.
Anyway, I stumbled over this video during my research for dance workouts to use for my own fitness at home. I doubt if I will ever be able to copy that, but want to say that this is some very cheerful dance music.
It’s amazing that young people of today enjoy a musical style the roots of which are to be found nearly 100 years ago. Some of the pieces make one think of the Roaring Twenties of which we could hear a lot during the last years commemorative World War I.
Dear Linda, one can see how happy and relaxed you seem to be, just dancing away, and it is a joy to see and very inspiring. Don’t worry about nasty comments and the judgement of others. Dance and video for yourself and if people react, enjoy the chicken and toss the bones. And do keep on inspiring us old (or odd?) chaps to get moving before arthritis really hits.
By the way, did you notice the people in the June 18 part of your video? They seem to be interested, to say the least. I‘d say your personal development shows in that you do not only dance in a garage or some empty space, but even in front of people.
God bless your gift and what you do with it!

My favourite part was the boat staff just standing back and enjoying you doing your thing.
Not going to lie, as a dance teacher it is a very impressive progression. On a cultural note, this was being done in the 1920s by flappers and jazz dancers - still good stuff, and I love seeing it come back.
It's good you said "Not going to lie" before your statement so that I know every time else you speak it is a lie if you don't start with this.

Can we appreciate around 4:30 when the security guard is smiling and brings his friend so that they can both watch her dance. 👌
Yes! I thought no one noticed that
I was more concerned about how close she was to the the edge. Anxious she might fall in the water XD
I was looking at the security guard moving his knees to the beat untill she started dancing and then he was like 😮🤯
ikr? I love that :D
Except that's not a security guard but the captain of the ship behind her. Lady is probably service on the ship.
My grandfather used to dance like this, the old man had swag and 3 wifes. The first time i saw some kid do this dance i was stunned.
My dad too.
In the teens and 20s, a hundred years ago, it began as the Charleston
Sabrina N The Charleston is such a good dance too

Me too! Its def in my top 3 genres of music, such wonderful lively music it is!
I was going to just say "Very Good".. but you've got some great moves! That spin at 2:29 was awesome! 🔥🤩💥👍
Just imagine if people from the1920's were to see you dance electroswing like that! They'd all be stunmed and amazed, you did so good!
Thanks so much!
They'd probably say a woman shouldn't dance like this and throw her in prison for wearing pants lmao
Comic HB but in the 1920 is when women started wearing short dresses and cutting their hair short.
Comic HB that‘s historically wrong and not even funny
Kono so what are you gonna cry about it😂
I feel like Electro Swing is such an overlooked genre. Like, I've never gone "I want to listen to electro swing" but it's the genre I get the most enjoyment out of
@DrPeePeePooPoo I agree I feel like everyone heard lone digger and went “this is cool” and then struggled to find anything near as good.
Its very inspired by old swing jazz dance (charleston etc), house, probably even hip hop, etc. So perhaps there are some dance classes on that?
@SaphiraSeraphina there are some really good tutorials here on TH-cam. It's generally a pretty solo style so not really surprising if there aren't any classes
I know right! I love the genre but like zero people I know like it
Lmao it's actually a genre I do want to listen to. Check out Caravan Palace, the songs are so amazing.
I just want to say that we need more female representatives like you in this kind of community! Thank you!
Love how to can really see the progression of greatness, going from someone looking like there messing around having a boogie to people stood in all awe. Love it!

Yup
The reason that you clicked on, and watched the entire video makes this Algorithm so good.
Can't hate when you see the people in public having big genuine smiles watching you dance. Thanks for taking the time to develop a skill that makes joy.
I always enjoy watching such development. The "breaking point" is always when next to the steps other body parts get incorporated into the movement. Arms, head, torso. This is a lovely collage.
5:05 I like that eyebrow-rising nod of the captain in the background, probably going from "okay, so there's a random girl dancing at the pier for fun" to "okay, she really IS good."
He looked back to his mates to say "you seeing this shit? Amazing"
She just vibin lmao
And that duck passing by in the water
And the man looked really similar too my uncle and that scares me 😂

Thought the same.
Came to be encouraged, but left even more disapponted in myself. ☹️
@@Klinpo1 thats deep brother
That‘s not what I wanted to do. I‘m pretty sure you can do it, too!
Being disapointed of yourself is the first step of being proud of what you accomplished to stop feeling that way :)
As a handpan player I prefer feel that I did bad on my last jam, because it's by looking things that way that you progress :)
Being proud is looking back on progress with a feeling of progression, the bad behavior is to feel like you are the best
So whatever you want to do or become, go on and do lots of mistakes! You can even fail sometimes! You learn from it, not from doing good :)
good luck!
All that transformed was her dress
I have no idea why this was recommended to me. I haven't watched dancing videos in years. But you look like you're having so much fun, I feel inspired to go take some jazz dance lessons and learn to do some of this myself.
I have absolutely no idea why this popped up in my feed - but I am so very glad it did. That was absolutely outstanding. Glad I decided to check it out, that was incredibly entertaining to watch.

I love how not only the technique got better but you clearly improved on feeling the rhythm. So fun to watch by the end ❤
Had to appreciate that toespin. Watched it half a dozen times.
Looked fantastic!
The talented lady really improved when she donned that magic fedora.
@Ash Parker Yes. It gives the wearer the strength to shuffle for the duration of an entire song. One day, while filming and only a week before an important competition, it is caught by a gust of wind and blows into the bay. It is floating upside down but sails away and out of reach. SMILIN spots a kayaker and waves to him to see if he will retrieve it. They watch him in the distance. He catches up to it, puts it on and paddles away to the far side of the bay. He is not a good person. But he does not dance, so he does not know its power. SMILIN is devastated. That a random person would be an opportunistic thief. She is once again an average dancer. The thief has a younger sister who does dance. She is a decent person, she can't afford a good hat but this hat fits her perfectly. End of intro. Take it away, Ash Parker. BTW: I have notice the only guy who shows up on these videos is ALWAYS wearing a fedora. Coincidence?
There's a rat under there, that's why
Does that mean neckbeards have the magic power to do the electric swing???
