Brother brother brother brother brother I'm a man, i ride Harley's.... It always makes me chuckle the ego that comes with owning a Harley. The ego that takes them from home to the local coffee shop up town and back!! 2 wheels and a motor= motorcycle.... Honda stands for Harley Owners Need Dependable Alternative 🤣😉
I feel you man. I have the same thing with BMW here in Europe. I once had a girlfriend who had a BMW. When we were at a party motorcycles came up in the conversation. When a guy asked her: “hey you ride motorcycles?”, she replied: “ no I ride BMW…”. I broke up with her.
I've been riding since I was 14 years old. I started out on Japanese dirt bikes. My first street bike was an early 70's Kawasaki S3 400 cc 2 stroke triple. That bike had such an uneven power curve, and I was so young and dumb I'm shocked that I didn't kill myself on that damned thing. Yeah, it was only a 400cc, but 2 stroke means twice as many power strokes. It rode like a much bigger bike. Next I got an old Honda 750CB. That bike had the stock exhaust and it was about as loud as a sewing machine. I used to LOVE cruising through a state park nearby and sneaking up on the wildlife. One time I crested a hill going about 30. There was a herd of deer at the bottom of the hill. I kicked the bike into neutral, and hit the kill switch. I glided down right among them before they realized I was there. It was amazing. I love smooth, quiet, and powerful in a motorcycle. These days I'm an old man. I ride a nice Kawasaki Vulcan S 650. There are nice looking used Harleys on Facebook Marketplace every day for less than I paid for my Vulcan. If I wanted a Harley, I'd have a Harley. It wouldn't be a difficult thing to do. If you are a Harley guy, and you are getting butthurt reading this, instead, smile and say, "thank you." I know how much you love your Harleys and that single pin sound, so I'm saving them all for you. You're welcome bro. Go have fun.
That was a great point about HD being a premium brand. You're right. You do pay top dollar for premium brand ( even if it is HD....sorry, lol). Great video, man.
Thanks. Seems like some people who watched it think otherwise, at least looking at some of the comments. I knew I'd get some backlash for this one but it got the views though!
Over my 55+ years of riding, I’ve owned Hondas, Kawasakis and Harleys, with a Norton thrown in. Currently I’m on a Harley. For those Harley guys that are haters of other brands, they need to get a life! As long as I’m 2 wheels, it’ll be the bike that suits me and my needs. Screw them if they don’t like it😊
I used to think the same 😅 until I rode a Harley…. There is just something about it, is just really hard to explain… give it a try just for curiosity… also anybody on two wheels is a real biker, we all taking the same risk so respect for all motorcyclist out there 🫡
yup I was the same way. never rode a harley and followed the crowd hating HD. then I bought one and I havent looked back. Idc what anyone rides, I respect it all. even scooters lol
@@Conejo147 is so hard to go back to anything other than HD now 😅 I had a Suzuki C50 for two years and when I rode my Harley everything made sense, the clunking the ramble the raw sensation, the quality of the components… there’s faster, cheaper and more reliable bikes but nothing like HD
@@davincho1111 yup their bikes have character and youre right there is cheaper faster bikes but its nothing like a Harley. Its hard to explain but once you sit on one and ride it, it clicks lol I argue with people when it come to reliability. Im not saying HD are the most reliable bikes but ive owned 3 harleys and have had zero issues. My Kawasaki 900 classic left me stranded twice due to overheating. No mechanic could ever find the issue with it...
I had three Harley's. The best was the Sportster 1200. I now ride a 08' Road Star better than a Harley. Harley's not made for today's blue collar workers in America. Too many white shirts buying Harley's driver up used prices. If I want a 15 to 20 year bike I can buy 2 to 3 Japanese bikes for one Harley.
I agree 100%. I've been riding for almost 20 years, I've had almost every bike you could imagine. The Shadow 750 is what I've always returned to and it will probably stay that way forever. What you're saying is true to me because I've never been criticized for not riding anything but a HARLEY. Of course that's not all harley riders but in my experience, the ones who do are ALL harley riders.
@@rubo1964well out of the 5 I know, 3 of them are exactly the same ”brother” stereotype (if it’s not a Harley it’s a girl bike), and the other 2 don’t even want theirs anymore 😂 so yeah holds up
I have owned 3 of the 4 Japanese brands, Harley, and BMW. for long distance and comfort my Harley Road Glide is the best for putting miles down. My BMW is more for having fun and blasting around town and hitting the corners and curves. Every one has the bike they like and feel the best on and suits their riding style. I have owned sport bikes, Muscle bikes, dual sport, Cruisers, and Sport touring bikes.
Agree with you 100% when it comes to HD ... I have the same reasons for disliking. But I take it a step further ... I don't particularly like cruisers (but that is a separate discussion) *BUT* if I were to get an American cruiser it would be an Indian. No HD BS drama ... and no automatic assumptions that if you ride a motorcycle then people assume it must be a HD. Everyone is free to ride what they like but it is the HD-owners attitude that is a turn off. Then there is the biker club image associated with the brand ... They will never get my money.
HD is nothing but a LIFE STYLE brand. Like people who have to own Samsung phones/accessories or Apple, it's about how the brand makes you "feel". Not really about the motorcycle itself. Harleys are no better than any other brand produced. And it's been a long time since HD could even say it's an AMERICAN bike since lots of parts are imported for them. Harley is just there cashing in on a name and they are making big bank on the buyer's ignorance.
Ehh I’ve been around actual 1% bikers for years due to working in Tattoo shops along the east coast. Some of those dudes in the late 90’ were riding V-Max’s. Other then the lame ass internet I’ve never gotten the if it’s not a Harley it’s not a bike nonsense. I’ve owned Honda’s, Kawasaki’s, Royal Enfield’s, and HD’s. I liked them all for different reasons. New HD’s are pricey as hell but some of them feel and ride like dreams. Just like Japanese cruisers from the early 2000’s you can find some great deals out there on low mileage HD’s between 2000 and 2012. I currently own a 07 Kawasaki Vulcan 900, and A Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Yea' I've been around the 1% and everyone else too. I started out on a Suzuki GS something or another, moved on to a Sportster, and I'm currently riding a Honda Shadow. I've never gotten any half-a-Harley, girls bike, not a real motorcycle B.S. about any of my bikes from other bikers. The worst I've ever heard about any of them is "Don't you ever wash that thing." 🤣
I've had a 2006 honda shadow aero 750 for about 2 years now bought it with 40,000 miles on it and put about 8,000 on it and it's never broken down never had any mechanical issues except a couple blown fuses absolutely love the thing if you take care of your bike it'll take care of you
I just got a '06 Shadow Aero 750 last year. I love it and besides the sticky turn signal switch that needs some love, I have had zero issues with it. I have to ask though, what fuses are blowing? Is it a recurring problem? Just curious what I need to look out for.
check the wires coming out of the stator. On some model of shadows they are fairly tight against the frame and seem to break before the get to the rectifier
Ive been riding since the mid 90's. But being a bit rebellious, I could never bring myself to get a Harley. Everyone had/has a Harley! Being rebel, I want to be different. I've ridden Harleys, and they are ok... I mean they're still a motorcycle after all, and fun in a straight line. But how could I be an individual if I owned the #1 sold bike in America. Would that make me a lemming?
I agree with ya, I got a harley 48 and i'm not anywhere near the level of caring who rides what or even if my 48 is a harley. I could care less. I got a suzuki S1000 also and i'm content with both. Long distance or short distance. But i will never fall down to the level of being a die hard harley fan boy. No reason for it.
honestly how i feel is, each person should ride what they like, i don't judge people for what they ride, were all one huge family and at the end of the day were just having fun riding around, nice bike by the way, ride safe edit: i just finished the video and realized you have basically the same view, that's awesome
I love all bikes, but mostly bikes that someone restored or customized for their own personality. What I really prefer to ride is vintage bikes. I love my 83 Goldwing and my 86 Voyager that I brought down to a naked bike. Its one of a kind. To me, if it isnt 80s or older, I'm not interested. I have owned a couple old Harleys and they are a pain in the butt. I dont see much for old Harleys running around my neighborhood but I do see some old bikes of other brands and those owners love them. Plus, I dont think I need to put on a costume to ride my old ZG1200 or GL1100. It makes me laugh when a dude on a Harley has to be extra loud/obnoxious because I'm not on a Harley. I dont need a Harley anymore, I have a Briggs and Stratton already in my lawn mower.
HD isn’t worth the price tag. Not even in the slightest. I got a newer, used sportster because it was going to be my daily. I have a lot of fun on it but I wish I would’ve got something else. I also hate the people associated with the brand. I’ll never sell it because I do really enjoy the bike, and I would lose a lot of money if I did. But, for those of you who are on the fence about it, go with any Japanese or European brand instead. You won’t miss out on anything special.
Someone sounding butt hurt cuzz he doesn't have a Harley! Those people who you are making fun of do exist, but they are very rare. Most Harley riders aren't like that at all and are the nicest people. So in this video which seems to be mostly about Harley and Harley riders, you admit you have never ridden one. So let's fix that brother. We can meet up and swap bikes for the day and go for a nice ride.
That’s BS I got an 09 fatboy now but when I had my sporty 1200 it got called a girls Harley or a skirtster or a poor man’s Harley so the ridiculing does happen and it happened to me
@anthonymasluk2295 listen man. I didn't say it doesn't happen. Maybe you shouldn't hang out with Assholes! Go look at vintage Hell Angels photos. Half of them are on Sportsters. Where they girls. All the old vintage bikes are 1000cc or less. There's always going to be some ignorant moron that spouts off that crap. I never had a sportster, but I want one or maybe two. I can't wait until some drunk dumb ass mouths off to me.
Harley Davidson is a social club. Never appealed to me at all. I'm 65 and I've been riding since 1977 and even before that on the back of my dad's bike. It's more about riding than the bike Itself. I never cared about what other people think of my motorcycle. 😊
I have ridden Hondas. I have not ridden a V Twin Honda. 500, 600, 750 inline fours. They have a certain feel as far as power. You have to spin them up to get them moving. Power curve is consistent to where it putters out (as all bikes do). The Shadow 750, 1100, etc... I have seen their HP/TQ numbers and they seemed under powered for their CC's. Super reliable no doubt. Sound... probably about the same. My last UJ Cruiser was a Yamaha Warrior. It had power but for the size it was under powered. It felt like a Inline Four except for more muscle. Now I have a Sportster 1200 2019. It has upside down power. All the power is on take off and then goes downhill as the tach/mph rise. Not consistent power. My 1200 makes the same power as a Vulcan S 650 and is much heavier so is slower. Why HD for me? Parts. If you want accessories and parts 10, 15, 20 years down the road... Japanese bike will leave you nothing to deal with except recycled junkyard bits. Mine is not better. Mine might be less reliable. Those are my reasons. Oh, I am not waving to you... you... you Honda Shadow 750 or Kawasaki Vulcan 900 owners. Just live with it. LOL!
Without a doubt the older Shadows (80s bikes) are far more powerful than the newer models. I can imagine with rising EPA regulations that can be said for most manufacturers. I also can't deny the HD dealer network and your statements for aftermarket parts is 100% correct.
I just can’t do Harley ever again, I had one for a couple years and at first I kinda liked it, I was having fun and everything but then people started letting me try their bikes out, Honda cruisers, sport bikes, hell I even hopped on a Grom for a few miles😂 I found out really quickly that I hated riding Harleys and my wallet hated owning one so I got rid of it, got a ninja 650, crashed, now I’m rebuilding a 2008 Honda shadow 750 as a happy little in between
i started on a Honda Shadow spirit 750 and have had a harley from each line (touring, sportster, Dyna) and i ride a Shadow Spirit 750 currently if that tells you anything...although i am going to get another touring bike just for the extra room and ponies
I started on a honda. Had a kawasaki classic 900 (hated it) then had a Yamaha royal star which was fantastic. I got a harley and I wont look back. ive owned 3 so far. what ive learned was I used to hate HD for no reason. I was just following the crowd... So I get what youre saying bro but those reasons were not legit reasons to not like the bikes. You dont like the culture and the pricing. Thats totally different and not a real reason to not try the bikes. You can like the bikes and hate the culture and pricing. and as a younger HD rider in his 20's... Im noticing the culture change as younger people get into the HD scene more. Those gatekeepers/boomers with that old way of thinking are fading out. I agree with you on one thing tho i dont care what you ride. I care that youre riding at all. I respect all riders and Ill be the first to call out a boomer HD rider saying "its not a real bike unless its a Harley" total BS. But I can confidently say those people are fading out. Ride safe!!!
@LuckyAcesRiding you're not wrong. But I always tell people you can buy a cheap harley online. You can also get cheap aftermarket parts. I used to say the same thing. I never rode a harley and hid behind the "its too expensive" excuse. Then I bought one despite what everyone around me said. Man they were all wrong. To me personally I find the most expensive thing about owning a harley is customizing it. Besides that they are great bikes. But if you never get one that's fine. You still got a killer honda!
For the last 20 years the only cruisers I had were HD, not these new boutique models from the hd clothing store either...and about 6 months ago I decided to add a road star from yamaha to the fleet....gotta say the star is a easy bike to enjoy. As far as anyone giving me comments while I'm on it, I guess that all comes down to how you carry yourself cuz nobody says a word to me.
I have owned Kawasaki, Honda, and Harley. I would NEVER put down a guy's motorcycle. It's a personal choice. It's hard enough just to stay safe nowadays. We shouldn't be against each other.
Own a 17 sportster 48 nickel and dimes me to death. Own a Royal Enfield meteor for when the HD is down. Always reliable. As soon as I pay off it off I’m getting a Rebel 1100.
I’m good I’ll stick with anything but Harley. Dad had 2 Harley’s and I never cared much for the bike. Grew up in York Pa and so many Harley guys. When my dad passed my mom wanted to give me my dad’s 98 Road king. TY but no thanks!! Told her sell it to someone who wants it. Every time I rode that thing the floor boards would hit on the twistees.
Harley Davidson just started making actual good bikes about 10-15 years ago. Just about every Japanese company has made a better, more reliable, more powerful, better handling bike than Harley from half a century if not longer. That's just a fact. I do appreciate any rider on twos no matter the brand. But them Harley yuppies can pound sand. If you ride a Harley respect others as you'd like to be respected.
I'm 20 living in Europe and also owning a 750 shadow aero 2004. Idk what rpm I'm sitting at when cruising down the highway at around 60-70 mph since I don't have an rpm meter or whatever it's called, could you please tell me or make a video about running it down the highway and how much strain is there on the engine ?
I have a few highway videos but nothing specifically talking about engine speed. Not a bad idea though. At 70 mph (112 kph) you are looking at just shy of 4000 rpm. The engine should be fine at those speeds for extended periods of time but I think rider comfort is more of a factor.
I like Harleys, I hate there price.. I'm now looking at a Honda Fury, sweet bike. At the end of the day, the deer and rain and the kid in the car texting isn't going to care what your riding. Be safe
They are 12" from J&P Cycles on factory Aero risers. The throttle cables, electrical, and brake line we all long enough but I did have to change out the clutch cable. I believe most 750 models you can swap up to 10" without changing anything but I am not 100% certain.
I had an 1100 shadow and an 1100 virago, the virago would eat the shadow's lunch and run circles around it. Both good reliable bikes, that yam just really liked to run.
Indian range is nice but priced high, Honda Magna v45 v65 almost crushed Harley out of existence but the government had to step in and tax the honda hard. Honda v45 still hold it's own and cheap as for you Americans. Honda v65 would still smoke them all, not sure how cheap they're must be getting close to collectors prices soon. Shadow still a great casual all rounder cruiser, it does have a Yamaha 650 brother too😉.
I'd love to get my hands on a V65! Not sure how I would feel riding on a 40 year old bike though! I 100% believe without government intervention Harley Davidson would have disappeared in the 80's.
I once thought like you. Thinking my shadow was all the bike I needed. I talked crap about Harleys. Thought it was perfecly fine to be sore after a 3 hr ride and doing 4500 rpm at 70 on the highway I did it for years then one day I test road a Road Glide. The Honda was gone the next week 40k miles later on my hd I don’t miss the shadow at all.
Man i have on honda all my life, i have tried to get a Harley at one point but my huge brain could not cope wirh Harley sales people, so got me selft hnada dula sport dirt bike then, a shadow, then another shadow, now i am to Rebels and still on Hondas, they jua last and are fun all the time. Low maintenance just little twikes here an dthere, some mods for the course. My harley friend spay trhough the nose to look cool and with a crowd that sema to hate eachother, oitcompete on who can spend 30k on two wheels. Is lol😅
Ah Harley Davidson the only Motorcycle that comes with a free attitude problem NOT ALL Harley riders. But you know who I mean. You’ve all met one. “I bought a Harley I’m a badass now”
Which is the point I was trying to make. I don't dislike the bikes, I don't dislike all HD riders...just those that think they are better than everyone else.
I love my vulcan1500 classic it's literally HD road king copy. Now will I spend thousands more for HD with less reliability ? No.Do admit HD look great specially fat boy
The attitude you think exists I haven't seen in a long, long time. I own and ride Harleys. I've owned and ridden Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha...etc. Ride whatever blows your hair back. I don't know another "Harley guy" that thinks anything other than that. We're all out there on 2 wheels. Enjoy and love what you ride. And here's a secret....older, lightly loved Harley's are cheap. I'd never spend 20K+ on a bike. Here in Michigan the season isn't that long and that kinda ching isn't realistic. Anywho, keep the rubber side down and enjoy every minute you're on your bike.
Perhaps I could have added more context in the video but I get that this isn't a common thing. Of course with any group there is always going to be a few that try to spoil it for everyone else. Ride safe friend.
@@LuckyAcesRiding I've always kept this thought in mind when it comes to any motorcycle brand....all you have to do is belly up to the bar and lay your money down. That's for any make/model bike. No secret society votes you in as a newly coined "Harley" owner. So for me it's hard to think that there's anything special about owning one. I think they have a visceral feel to them that I haven't experienced on a more refined, if you will, european/asian brand. My 1st Harley was a '93 1200 Sporty. 1st time I rode it I thought what kinda caveman designed this thing?!! Took just a few minutes for me to think, wow, I love it!! So there ya go. Not everyone likes them, and that's absolutely fine. I just found them to be more tactile and I really enjoy that about them.
I only owned metric cruisers currently rocking a honda vtx 1300 2009 which happens to be more made in America that a Harley of the same year. I will say I might get a Harley rode a friends fat boy it was cool. Lots of low end torque. Now is probally a good time to get one prices are down from company going woke, most people are broke and riding season is almost over and that ain t no joke!
Sounds like you and I feel the same way. I'm open to owning a Harley but don't feel like I have to. You could be right, now could be the time to pick one up cheap.
Why can't bikers just be happy there are other bikers out there? I'm 68 years old. Rode since I was 14. Sat on a new 21 Sport Glide. It was made for me! I ride it. I don't look for trouble or have an attitude of superiority over all other bikes. Where are you riding? Are you upset that sometimes a rider on an HD doesn't give you the 2 down wave? I think so. I also think you're really just mad that you can't afford a HD. How many have you ridden? You're happy with your bike? Good for you. I'm happy with mine too. I wave to everyone. Even mopeds. If they're out there on 2 wheels? Great! I'm guessing that 20% of riders don't return The Wave. BFD. I ride. BTW, the ones that never return The Wave usually have a girl on back wearing little shorts and sandals. He's wearing a wife beater and a backwards cap and sneakers. No helmets on either. If idiots like that don't want to be friendly? Again, BFD. Get over it son. Just ride, don't whine.
Well, it certainly seems that way. It seems your issues with HD concern those that ride them. Not the bikes. HD riders like their bikes. Your remarks contradict themselves. You keep saying that you don't care what anyone rides. Then you go on about HD riders. Dude, enjoy the ride. Maybe talk to a few guys that ride HD's before blanket statements ridiculing all of them. Never had your attitude thankfully.
It doesnt matter. Ride what you like. Gate keepers are false narrative. 1450cc vs 750cc is no contest. Comfort power. Being able to ride on the highway comfortably. Not because it has harley on it. Its just better. I ride what i want and dont give a crap about polical bs. My bike are all bought used anyway.
@@LuckyAcesRiding I also have a honda shadow ace 750. I thought about bobbing it out. I got bars for it and decided thats all it needed. Being able to get bread milk beer ice and a little fast food all in 1 trip is worth having bags. Im going to look at an electa glide tonight so i can carry even more.
@@supertechify For sure. I use a tank bag for smaller trips to the store mainly because I don't like wearing a backpack when I ride. Honestly if I was to bob out the Shadow again, I wouldn't.
I bet only like 5% of HD owners say shit like that to others, and words get around. Just like I’d love to ride with sport bike riders but without a coms device I can’t really communicate that atm til I pick one up. That and those sport bike riders out torque my fatass on a hog so they take off fairly quickly.
I like Harleys but they leak oil,too much chrome etc. I'm in the market for a Honda shadow or a rebel. I just looked at the new rebels yesterday but I'm looking to buy used
I've put thousands of miles on my electra glide. You know how many problems I've had with it? More than I can count. From electrical trouble to mechanical messes. The only good thing about Harley is the sound and the look. Their too damn expensive for what they are, underpowered, heavy, and basic. I've put thousands in aftermarket parts in mine, engine, transmission, suspension, and cleaner wiring. I would have saved money buying a brand new vaquero. I've never had a problem with my kawasaki or honda, and I ride them significantly harder. Harley prides themselves on quality, but the quality is far below what the price point would indicate. Oh, and harley people are assholes. I'll never understand judging other riders because they chose to buy a different bike. Not all, but most. Buy an Indian if you want american muscle. Harley hasn't been it for 30 yrs.
2004 Softail Standard I've owned since new. 77,000 miles. Broke a throttle cable about 10 or so years ago. I have done two 850+ mile days from Lansing Michigan to Grimesland North Carolina and back on this bike this month. With that said, I like most all motorcycles and would have a bunch if I had the space. BTW, I'm 71 and do all my own wrenching.
The tariff was implemented because the Big 4 Japanese manufacturers agreed to sell (dump) their bikes in the USA for the cost of manufacturing. This was their heinous attempt to put HD out of business. The tariff just put the cost of the Japanese bikes where they should have been to begin with. HD needed no help to stay afloat, just petitioned US to stop their illegal activities
I have 8 motorcycles, two are Harleys. If I were to go cross country, I wouldn't hesitate in my choice and I'd go on one of the Harleys. If you think the others are more reliable because they are Japanese, you're wrong. In my HOG group, there are plenty of members who have close to 100K miles on theirs. In the past Japanese bikes had a reliability advantage over Harley, but not anymore.
You are saying absolutely insane comments. You don't like HD because of the people?... I suppose you hate automobiles becaus people drive them as well.
Harleys have spoiled me, I can't ride anything else and enjoy it the same way. I ride an Iron 883 all decked out and a mostly stock Road King Special. 2 very different Harleys and each are so fun. The Road King is so comfy and smooth and my Iron is raw and rough in a good way and so fun to ride the backroads and is fine on highway too but obviously not as good for highway as Road King. I like other bikes too and dont have an issue with any brand but Harleys are just what I like.
Before I bought my second bike (08 Kawasaki Mean Streak 1600) I was looking at a few Road Kings from a similar time frame. What killed it for me was the price. I couldn't justify spending at least twice as much just to have something that says "HD". Honestly I'd love to get my hands on one for a day just to experience it for myself. I have no issue with the bikes or those that enjoy them, just those that are smug about it (which you my friend have not been). Ride safe!
@@LuckyAcesRiding Absolutely fair point. If I were you, I'd set up a test ride for a Road King Special and just try it. No obligation and I would always buy lightly used cuz it's alot cheaper. So many newer Harleys with less than 5k miles for significantly cheaper than new. All the fees make buying new unreasonable and msrps are already high as well. Best thing to do is get a 2022 with 1k miles cuz no fees just price, taxes and tags. When you get a high value Harley the best thing to do is trade in every 2-3 years cuz you will have equity that carries over so really it's just the 1st 1 you buy that you need to make the big sacrifice cuz they're one of the few vehicles that hold value and only degrade a little. It only really works with touring Harleys like Road King, Road Glide, Street Glide and higher end Softails like Breakout, Fat Boy and Heritage. As long as you don't go too far with modding and damage the bike you could basically move up every 2 years without having to fork over more than a couple grand and your equity in the bike your trade in to constantly stay with the latest and greatest. It's best to put 25% down and go with 24 month term so after 2 years you have full equity. It can be done if you're thoughtful about it and if you get the ball rolling you will always have a great bike for not much besides your original purchase equity and a couple grand out of pocket.
REAL bikers don't care what you ride, so those bashing on Harley's need to stay behind your computer screens and off the roads. And I own a Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Harley.
Some people are Honda riders some people like Kawasakis some people like triumphs and some people that love America love Harley-Davidsons and that's all there is to it it's all a preference I myself write a Harley-Davidson but I've had plenty of other Japanese bikes and other European bikes I like a Harley and that's that
Yeah, lemme be just like everyone else… buy the same bike as every other cruiser going down the road.. understand, all major companies are the government! That’s why those companies will go under when America goes under and not a day before! Why do you think they cost so much? (How much does a screw cost in the military?)
This is the second time this has been commented yet no one goes in to detail. Must be the ape hangers because as we all know HD is the only one to ever do that.
Bro u doing exactly what u projecting on Harley riders. How about u stop being scared and ride a Harley and then maybe u will understand what all the hipe is about.
These days I hear they have Harleys that match with a rainbow purse nicely.
Brother brother brother brother brother
I'm a man, i ride Harley's....
It always makes me chuckle the ego that comes with owning a Harley. The ego that takes them from home to the local coffee shop up town and back!!

Can't blame you there friend.
I’ve been riding for over 30 years and I have never had any one tell me I should not be riding whatever brand I was riding.

Screw them if they don’t like it😊
I bought my sister a 1200 sportster and she loves it. I have always been a Honda, Yamaha guy but to each their own, enjoy what you have.

@@davincho1111 yup their bikes have character and youre right there is cheaper faster bikes but its nothing like a Harley. Its hard to explain but once you sit on one and ride it, it clicks lol
I argue with people when it come to reliability. Im not saying HD are the most reliable bikes but ive owned 3 harleys and have had zero issues. My Kawasaki 900 classic left me stranded twice due to overheating. No mechanic could ever find the issue with it...
@@Conejo147 new Harleys are extremely reliable… specially the Milwaukee 8
I agree with you 100%!
The worst thing about Harley Davidsons are a lot of the people who ride them.
Kind of generalization
Seriously how many HD riders you Actually talked to?

I started on an ACE 750. Loved that motorcycle.
I’ve owned Honda’s, Kawasaki’s,
Royal Enfield’s, and HD’s.

I'm glad you found a bike you enjoy! Value per dollar I just feel the Japanese bikes are a better value.
@@LuckyAcesRiding Agreed
I'll always have a place in my heart for the overpriced, barely reliable, rolling boulders of a Harley.

You just nailed it mate, well done 👍👍
Thanks friend!
I just can’t do Harley ever again, I had one for a couple years and at first I kinda liked it, I was having fun and everything but then people started letting me try their bikes out, Honda cruisers, sport bikes, hell I even hopped on a Grom for a few miles😂
I found out really quickly that I hated riding Harleys and my wallet hated owning one so I got rid of it, got a ninja 650, crashed, now I’m rebuilding a 2008 Honda shadow 750 as a happy little in between
i started on a Honda Shadow spirit 750 and have had a harley from each line (touring, sportster, Dyna) and i ride a Shadow Spirit 750 currently if that tells you anything...although i am going to get another touring bike just for the extra room and ponies
Reading some of these other comments my friend you might be the exception.
My only issue with the bikes is that I feel they are too expensive for what they are. In my opinion Japanese bikes are a better value.
100% agree!
It does matter what you ride as long as you ride.
Be safe
That is kind of my thoughts. It seems like they could build them cheaper if they wanted to.
Off topic. What inch rise are your handlebars? 10? I'm asking because I have drag bars on my vt750 bobber and looking to change. Thanks for your time.
They are 12" from J&P Cycles on factory Aero risers. The throttle cables, electrical, and brake line we all long enough but I did have to change out the clutch cable. I believe most 750 models you can swap up to 10" without changing anything but I am not 100% certain.

The Honda was gone the next week 40k miles later on my hd I don’t miss the shadow at all.

I am surprised that the "you are just jealous you can't afford a Harley" has only come up twice and respectfully disagree with your opinion.

I will not deny that HD's dealer network would be a motivating factor for some, especially if they plan on a lot of travel.
Dude, if it has to be explained to you.... you will never understand.
Some people are Honda riders some people like Kawasakis some people like triumphs and some people that love America love Harley-Davidsons and that's all there is to it it's all a preference I myself write a Harley-Davidson but I've had plenty of other Japanese bikes and other European bikes I like a Harley and that's that
That is what it is all about, finding the perfect bike for YOU!
Yeah, lemme be just like everyone else… buy the same bike as every other cruiser going down the road.. understand, all major companies are the government! That’s why those companies will go under when America goes under and not a day before! Why do you think they cost so much? (How much does a screw cost in the military?)
Road Glide or Street Glide in black has to be their #1 seller. It seems like those are the only models I ever see out on the road.
Yet another rider who dislikes HD yet has never ridden one. All you know is what some people say. That is what I call an uniformed opinion.
And that is all it is, my opinion. We are both entitled to our own.
Same reason why I don’t buy Glocks!!
Don't like Harley while making your bike look like one??😂
This is the second time this has been commented yet no one goes in to detail. Must be the ape hangers because as we all know HD is the only one to ever do that.
You need to see a shrink... your thought train is whacked
Bro u doing exactly what u projecting on Harley riders. How about u stop being scared and ride a Harley and then maybe u will understand what all the hipe is about.
I do not disagree with the first part of your comment but I never said anything about being scared.
Harley,s have soul the rest are just machines
Honda Davidson.
The interesting thing about this comment is that youtube put a "translate to English" button below it. Strange.
Your so angry.....
And why do you make your bike look like a harley....???😂
Not angry at all. How have I made my bike look like a Harley?
Harley Davidson
