How The Owl House Masters Found Family

I made it no surprise that I really enjoy the owl house as a series, the story, the characters, the world, and a lot more ,hell I’d be lying if I didn’t say one of the reasons THIS video exists is because of the last one doing incredibly well, being honest even though that video DID cover a lot of my bases with the series it didn’t cover them all, there still are a few topics regarding the show that I never really got to touch on in detail and which will be getting more videos from me in the future, one of those aspects being a pretty quietly forgotten one with the series as a whole, it’s handling of found family.
Found family can be defined as a trope that refers to a device in literature and media where a group of characters find themselves united in a family-bond based on shared experiences, mutual understanding, and interpersonal connection, even though this definition is pretty solid , I feel like these can refer to a lot of bonds and dynamics in media, student and master, brotherly or sisterly types , even unlikely groups can fit into the found family framework.
way I see it a found family dynamic can be broken into a few parts in order to be fully recognised, a sense of belonging, finding an identity, having acceptance and of course the unit as a whole, you might not see it at first but these are the type of characteristics that can be found throughout the owl house with the different groups our main trio meets.
Before anyone starts typing up a storm about it no this video won’t include a 30 minute rant on how lumity was what the show needed, god knows theres enough videos talking about those two as is, when I do mention found family in this video we’re going over the different dynamics found throughout the shows seasons, cause like I said it can be a number of different ones.
So in order to make this video easier to follow I’ve taken the liberty of breaking this down into 3 essential parts so that we can go into detail about them, our main trio, the hex squad and their whole journey and the parental figures of the owl house, so lets get right to it, shall we?

The Owl house is probably one of my fav depictions of the found family troupe in recent times, shout out the goat darius

The Isles gave Luz so much more in an entire summer than anyone in Gravesfield gave her throughout her entire life.
Her teachers despised her behavior, her classmates treated her like a freak and what's worse, her own mother (though involuntarily) made her feel like she had to be "fixed." Did Luz make mistakes...sure, the fireworks being a big example. But when it comes to public schools, the world barely does its job in nurturing the minds of artists in "acceptable" ways.
But in the Demon Realm; she gained loyal friends, she was excelling at Hexside in ways she never could back home, she got a girlfriend and above all, she gained a family that loved EVERY part of her. This makes me wonder what happened after Belos' defeat...meaning did she continue her schooling at Hexside, did she drop out to return to her classes in the Human Realm or did she manage to find a way to practice BOTH forms of education

The Owl House got me through a pretty shitty time in my life and the genuine care the characters have for each other is exactly what makes it so comforting. I love this show so much.

I just love how they handled the relationships in this show, it is just fantastic. And the best part about this is that the main trio's relationship with each other was able to help them connect and have a better relationship with their parents. Luz and Camila finally came to common ground and the latter started embracing her nerd side once again. Eda was able to accept what she did to Dell in the past and was able to connect with her Mom once more. And King... he got to know that his father loved him.
