I love how Luz’s titan design contrasts with Azura’s design. Luz’s design uses dark colors, spikey shapes, and rough undefined shapes while Azura’s design usings lighter colors, rounded shapes, and smooth, well defined shapes
Yeah, although there was inspiration from the original Azura design, it showed how much Luz has grown as her own person. She developed to be something different than her main inspiration, yet you can still feel the impact it had on her
I think it also contrasts with the Boiling Isles and actual fantasy You'd think a fantasy world in another dimension would be all glittery and colorful full of soft rounds While the actual Isles is subjectingly more... *Boiling isles* lol, Her design nicely reflecting not only Azura's design as how she started but also with the titan's flair with how she's ending (or currently continuing)
I love the ending for the owl house. This was the right choice for Luz. Having both worlds, but more importantly, being able to keep the people who love and accept her in her life. It was never about her having to let go of anything. I would say that this happy ending felt like that hope Luz couldn't see yet. Dana even stated that this ending was what kept her and her team going cause this was the ending she wanted to give the characters. It was all worth it in the end.
What I also like about the ending is that it left some timeskip stuff open to interpretation like Luz and Vee high school shenanigans are my personal favorite it makes me wonder if she now has any human friends to support her when her boiling isles friends are too busy to help her. Maybe Masha I think they and Luz have some things in common they may of felt like an outcast before coming out as non-binary and had similar academic struggles
@@garrettjackson1451 if there is any future spinoff for the owl house, all I want to see is Vee's adventures in the human realm while she impersonate luz, she went to the summer camp and actually made friends, while being brand new to the human word. Did she have to hide from other conspiracy theorists back at the camp? Did her human friends ever get close to finding out the truth? If I remember correctly, she kept her form through magic, which she can only suck out of other things, not produce it herself, so how did she manage to keep it for so long before teaming up with luz? Did she find other sources of magic on earth?
Honestly, I hard disagree on putting Hunter in the final fight against Belos. Hunters arc was about escaping Belos' grasp and becoming his own person, not defeating Belos. His arc was satisfied in TTT and FTF (finally being able to break his control and find the connections to others that give him strength) and while he did have strong connections to Belos I don't think he needed to be involved in Belos' final end; that seems like it'd be missing the point of Hunters need to move on from his past.
I agree, it felt like he was able to exist without Belos and change the world in his own way. Going back to Belos, in my opinion, would have been going back on character growth. With no more time with the show I don't think that would have been a good idea, maybe if there were more episodes.
oh wise man once told A large crowd “ at the end of the day your brain is just a meet computer inside of it bone cockpit piloting a skin robot” and that “ nothing makes sense so might as well make nonsense think about it” and I think we should listen to him. Where are the same time he told us he watches us in our sleep
I agree. As a formerly abused kid who turned their back on their terrible family, I will find it enough to know that they can't get to me anymore without having OR WANTING to be a part of their downfall. I cried when I saw Hunter putting all his trauma behind him and using his knife skills to create life, not cut it down. I loved it so much.
hunter is not violent at all and he doesn't wish to hurt people. i think a lot of you forget that even though belos hurt hunter and he hates him for everything he put him thru, belos was still a huge part of his life and his more "positive" feeling don't just disappear while belos's feelings about hunter were all lies meant to manipulate him, hunter's feelings about belos were very real. he cared about him and took care of him, those feelings don't leave immediately after finding out the truth. don't get me wrong, hunter hates him for everything he's done to hurt not only him, but everyone he cares about, and he's definitely glad he's gone and can't do that anymore, but i know a part of him felt such a confusing sadness about the whole thing idk just feel like a lot of the fandom doesn't understand how these sorts of relationships work. hunter k1lling belos is out of character imo.
It's not so much that I don't believe hunter would kill belos if he had to. The real question would be how would you fit him deciding to kill his abuser into those scenes? He obviously wouldn't be stomping on him because it's a silly joke and that wouldn't make sense with his character. What else is he going to do? Dash around a bit and save someone? He can't kill belos and the core of the scene is the owl family fighting belos. It would have been a bad decision to focus on hunter. He's a side character at the end of the day and if they used killing belos to advance his character it would detract from the owl fam.
Hunter harming anything for self gain would be out of character now except trees, but I'm sure Willow would even help gather wood for him like... little peaceful calm carpenter boy..
Nah, he didn't have to kill him or be around him, but it would had been nice to see a better inclusion of the supporting cast, they felt like they didn't exist in the finale
Luz is Spanish for Light, and I feel like that wasn’t supposed to represent the light in her, but the light she represented and brought to everyone. It was so beautiful to see her name having multiple meanings of the first glyph she learns, the light inside of her, the light she evaporated into, and the light of everyone she surrounded herself with and her friends with. I love the Owl House and it got me through hard times, it made me feel complete, and I absolutely love the community (the good side..ahem…) and the light, or in this case, the Luz brought into our lives by Dana Terrace. This ending was emotional and I really hope Disney allows a forth season some day, in some shape or form, but even if it doesn’t, the Owl House was a wonderful journey ❤️❤️❤️
Considering old shows are getting revived, Dana herself stated she wants to do more content (though more in a book format), the show's fame, believe me, we are not through with Owl House content. But I want people to realize that for now, in 2023, we will have no official Owl House content.
Honestly I don't want disney to do anything until dana is ready and willing to rejoin disney because the worst thing that could happen is if disney went it alone and fuck it all up just think it's disney so totally could happen
Adora's costume works because it was her. Luz's costume works because it was her and just like adora's her loved ones. She wanted to match to her little bro and eda
I honestly think the Owl House ending is one for the school books. "Withstanding being forced to shorten their vision and make compromises they still managed to tie up so many nice threads and give us a nice glimpse into what the future might hold for the cast. Giving us not only a chance at some form of closure knowing they're happy and have nice lives ahead, but also a ray of hope with this vision of what could be the next season/show." It both closes the book and left us a nice subtle "to be continued?" Also knowing that they called everyone back in for the "byeee" fills my heart knowing they (likely intentionally) would have been forced to pay all Voice Actors one last time. That's a nice gesture I know Luz would love.
the last couple minutes made me breakdown, it touched me in a way where i started to realize that my life has been filled with judgement and sadness and pain especially now that im in middle school and this show helped me realize that i dont have to pose as someone who is "cool" or "popular" just because I want to fit in. i will find friends who wont treat me like complete shit just because im different and really i have those people right now and i love them so much. they make me feel like im a part of something even though i dont see them too much during the day. but my point is this show has been a big part of my life since the day i watched it and even though i havent been a fan for that long, i am so grateful that i was (and still am) part of something absolutely beautiful. this show has helped me relate to people who share similarities with me (like luz and willow). i am heartbroken to see this show go and all i have to say now is, thank you.
Thank you for putting into words what I felt and feel, down to the very bone, about this show, this video, and this era of life where things seem to change biweekly.
@@banca7576 First of all, when did I call you dumb and when did I ask about the show getting canceled? All I said was “the worst part is that it ended” and ofc it ended it’s not like it would go on forever I’m not dumb
@@sweetcherry7759 Don't waste your energy. It's an unimaginative troll. Kinda pathetic, really. Not even worth reporting, that still gives them attention. No, I'm not white, and yes I have been called that word in hate.
I have genuinely never cried at a digital piece of media… but this beautiful video forced a few tears out of me. Everything you said is so meaningful and true, and I feel the same way. This show changed my life. I wouldn’t be the person I am without it.
I have to respectfully disagree with you about how they handles Hunter. I feel he got what he needed in his arc just by finally being able to say how much his friends mean to him. Belos's manipulation kept him isolated and unable to relate to other people. So this, in my opinion, is a case of the best revenge being a life well lived. While there may have been some catharsis in having Hunter be present for Belos's demise, it also wouldve taken away from the apotheosis he had with Gus and Willow in the previous episode by having him abandon them to go join the fight
is so crazy thinking that your first video essay was like a year and a half ago, i remeber just deciding to click on a video on a car ride and imedeitly loving it! Toh has given so much to the comunity
the way you strung together the 3 episode titles into a meaningful ending for this video was beautiful, great job and thanks for everything you’ve done for the fandom :)
Dana Terrace said on post hoot that she knew people were almost certain of sad ending, so she choose to end it this way, without traumatasing heroes anymore
As an autist, this show immediately became my main hyperfixation since I sat down and finally decided to watch it. It helped me get through a dangerously rough patch. To the point where, as cliché as it sounds, I honestly don’t think I would be here right now had it not been a part of my life. So thankyou, Owl House, you have become a huge part of mine, and I know many others’ own character arcs.
Im autistic too with ADHD and this became my hyperfixation too along with when Luz and Amity became a couple, it was also at the time I discovered i was Bisexual and since then the Show help me open up so much more and embrace my uniqueness ^w^
I can relate to those feelings. This week's been rough, yesterday was terrible. What did I do? Re-watched the final episodes, which helped me at least sleep in peace. This show is certainly my favorite, together with new She-Ra.
I’m autistic with adhd as well, and I fell in love with the show after my friend suggested it to me, for the 3 days it took for me to finish the show and some time after😄
If I remember right the collector was kind of an accident. The archivist were supposed to be built up more as the end villains but because the collector was the only one of them in the show at the time when it was cancelled he had to take their places. Collector was supposed to lead into the archivist entrance but not enough time.
Uhhh, no? That's fanfiction! The collector and the archvists wouldn't even exist if the show wasn't cut! The day of unity would be the last or one of the last episodes
I sobbed at the end. I will forever be sad that the show is over, and as much as I hope it will come back, I do feel like it ended on a good note and does not need to be added onto.
Not sure how Luz giving that impassioned speech you mentioned would be cringy, but I do love how she just gave Belos a blank angry stare. I know that your about page mentions obsessively analyzing animated shows and movies, but it kinda annoys me that everyone acts like a film critic nowadays; that people have to complain about everything they don't like about a film instead of just enjoying it for what it is. I love Luz's furso... TITAN FORM! Her titan form. I also love that speech at the end of the video. It was very heartwarming and heart wrenching at the same time. Also, that wordplay though.
This show changed my life for the better. even with luz's negitive charater arc it was so awesome i hope there are more things about it in the future. 1000/10 show for me.
Hunter got his climax with Bellos in For the Future. His inclusion in the last fight with Bellos would've been fun, but he got to tell his creator off and even be saved after his heroic sacrifice thanks to another heroic sacrifice that cemented Hunter as basically the thematic opposite to Bellos. I agree that he, like the rest of the supporting cast, could've used more time and more to do there in the end. I'm happy with what we got, though, even if it had to sprint to the finish line during the last leg of the trip.
Not much can make me cry, but your ending (minus the patreon plug) made me cry more than the show ending itself. You have earned yourself a subscription. I shall join the rest of you on this road.
You explained all of this perfectly, The Owl House is my all time favorite show and I felt the sadness too when she said the glyphs weren't working. This whole show washed emotions all over me whether that would be in good scenes, bad scenes, sad scenes, anything the show had to throw at us. I love the amount of detail you go into about all this and video all around made me joyful.
11:15 cool idea BUT I would assign the glyphs differently: Willow: No changes. Obvious things are obvious Gus: Light. What is Gus's thing? Illusions. What determines what we see? Light. It's not rare to find characters manipulating light can for example make themselves invisible AND the invisibility glyph is most present in Through The Looking Glass Ruins which is a Gus centered episode Hunter: fire. This is kind of streched out but fire resembles Flapjack so I imagine a heart-warming scene when while fighting he tears up seeing his pancake friend created from flames OR a whole swarm of flaming Flapjacks attacking Belos as a last "**** YOU" Last but not least, Amity: Ice glyph. When did Luz discover ice glyphs? Adventures in the elements WITH AMITY. They could even recreate the scene where Luz was trapped in a cage by this time Amity creating one not to keep Luz away from her but to keep her safe from a incoming attack, later launching both of them into the sky to recreate their combined attack from their fight with Tara I'm sorry, I'm obsessed with refrences
Love the video! Great point and you pointed out some stuff I hadn't even noticed! Tho I can't say I agree with you on your two complaints. I feel that at last for the majority of the fight, keeping it just Eda, king and Luz was important, ending the fight with the three who started to fight ya know? With that being said, I feel Rain didn't need to be included in the final struggle scene as Luz is trying to rip Belos from the heart. Maybe keep rain trapped within Belos as they're fighting and save them after Belos is defeated. And secondly, while I could honestly go either way, with hunter being included in the fight or not against Belos, I don't mind not having him involved as I felt a big part of his development was trying to move away from Belos as someone who matters in his life. Belos technically created him, he was a gravewalker, his entire being revolved around Belos. But by letting him instead spend his attention on helping other people, it helps show how he's grown away from Belos, Belos is no longer at the center of Hunters world as he has more important things to do now. I think him fighting Belos out of his boy in S3e01 was all the Hunter vs Belos we needed. Also, i dont think seeing Hunter having gotten to a better place with witches would have done anything to make Belos second guess his choices. Especially considering that he killed his own brother for being with a witch, and never seemed to learn from that. We can assume the same from all the countless other golden guards he killed, for who knows what other reasons. As kings dad said, Belos is stuck seeing himself as the hero of the story. In a sick way, hes sort of like Injustices Superman, thinking that so long as hes doing what he does for "the greater good of humanity" he can do no true wrong. But that's my opinion at least, I got my own set of complaints with these last three episodes, but over, still an amazing ending to an amazing show! As well as this being an amazing video, talking about said show! Thanks for the content and keep it up! 👌👌👌
I agree (mostly) with just about everything you mentioned. This show ended on a great note, one we will never forget anytime soon. One note about Hunter, though: while I do admit him having a hand in Belos' demise would have been very fitting, I saw somewhere that he kinda already had closure with more or less saying in Thanks to Them that he wanted nothing to do with Belos ever again. So Hunter not directly confronting Belos, but instead thwarting his efforts in anyway he can, was, in a way, a fitting end for him. But again, I see where you're coming from.

Hey man, great video I’m crying now🙃 but on a real note that speech about the show being gone and giving you a voice genuinely made me cry in a very happy way
It's all a matter of opinion but I think gravity falls was better. It had a stronger 1st season and all of the secret messages and everything made for a better show.
@@Falmmed it's just a matter of opinion, my friend. Don't mean to take it on anybody. Plus I still love Gravity Falls. Great times did I have watching it. I just think and feel TOH deserves that place in my mind and heart.
Bro managed to Quote all the Episodes of S3. True legends. I feel bad that i only found ur channel after this amazingg show, but maybe there will be a spin off! You are amazing, love the ending, it was amazinggg
There's so much resistance against happy endings that it seems creatives feel forced to aim for something sad or bittersweet. As if coming out of an experience feeling happy makes it creatively lesser/shallow. Well, I, for one, am relieved to only have cried happy tears during the epilogue, and that (for once) my brain hasn't been obsessing about "what ifs" as it's wont to do when things get quiet after a beloved show ends. The Owl Gang got to have it all, and that's great.
Interesting opinion. I personally thought it was refreshing that they didn't include the Camilla and kids - I felt like we had focused enough on them and I wanted to see Eda and King, who had been frankly a bit underutilized after "Hooty's Door." I was especially glad that Hunter didn't play a huge role since I didn't like him as a protagonist and I thought his growth/redemption was not very entertaining. I know people like him but I was frustrated with the way he was inserted into certain episodes (I unironically think "Hollow Mind" would be a stronger episode if he wasn't there) and thought he worked better as a foil to other characters, like in "Thanks to Them" or "Eclipse Lake" rather than when he himself went through a character change. On the flip side, I actually thought the pacing of this episode was whack, especially in the beginning. It felt like they were blowing past all these beats too quickly. The marketing didn't help, as almost all of the trailer was taken from the part of the episode where Luz was trapped in the dream, and it made the whole thing feel like a "gotcha, we're doing a different episode now" and the Collector kind of got hijacked by Belos. It's hard to really complain, since what they did with Belos was really cool (his scenes with Raine were great) but I do kind of wish they had kept Collector as the big bad for Season 3.
I agree, the episode was def stronger without the kids. Hunters arc felt finished after he fought Belos in TTT. However, I wonder why you dislike his character? I found him very compelling and liked him better after his redemption.
I've thought a lot about how Belos died, or more specifially how he didn't die. And after a month, I have a solid opinion on the subject. Belos's death felt like a victory. As cool as it would've been for Luz to manipulate Belos, or to use his own petrification glyph against him, that in a way would bring Luz down to his level. Or at the very least, highlight Belos's influence on Luz. Luz simply stepping away from Belos was her healing, and I think this also applies to Hunter. Hunter thought he saw Belos die once and it obviously traumatized him. There is no circumstance that Hunter could interact with, let alone kill, Belos without going through even more trauma. Even now, Hunter losing Flapjack so close to the finale seems cruel. So instead of another face off with Belos, Hunter got to be with his friends helping people. He's finally doing what he would like, instead of what Belos demands of him, no life-shattering experience that he has to come to terms with off screen during the time skip. It definitely beats fans' speculation (and admittedly mine as well) that he would stab Belos in the back. I can't imagine a more fitting death for Belos, but it would come at the expense of making Hunter more like Belos. Would it be satisfying for Luz and Hunter to face off against Belos, ultimately killing him using his own tricks? Absolutely, and a part of me is sad we'll never get that. But the crew made the very conscious decision to let the characters move on from what Belos put them through. Even if it's not the creative decision I would've made, I'm inclined to say they made the right choice.
This is such an exceptional analysis, and I am so happy for this video. You really brought together a lotta my feelings on the Hexsquad's involvement, and how to push this show into the stratosphere - omg I can't wait to implement this. Thank you so, sooo much for this, and thanks for all the Owlettes out there - this series is incredible ♡ ^%^
I am so glad that I could help you grow this channel and while I’m sad that this show is over, the fact that your channel and the people who subscribed to it are now a part of my life fills me with love and hope for the future. I’ll continue to “stay wild” and spread your great content. Thank you for everything.
personally i like how it kept focus on the main 3 especially for the time. also well hunter definitely was growing idk how well he would handle seeing belos again.
The owl house helped me meet so many of my close friends I still have today. It helped me realize who I was. This show will always hold a special place in my heart. You have gotten me through so many bad times. This show changed my life for the better, and I will keep doing so on my own with friends i met along the way. These have been the best three years of my life, Thank you the owl house.
I think the reason they didn't include the Hexside squad in the final fight was because they wanted the focus to go back to the core trio. Like a call back to where Luz started. It all started as just them and ended as them.
Wow, I really feel the same way (about what you said at the end) your words were touching, I have class in a few minutes and I dont wanna cry thank u very much :')
"You must liberate your mind from such dogmatic ideals, rid yourself of this unending illusion that stories have clear beginnings and endings. As long as stories are told, they should not have clear endings." -Gustave St. Germain, Baccano
I really like Eda and Kings rage modes. Seeing how much emotion was in their eyes really put out how they felt after Luz died. (I was thinking while watching that scene) they went into a blind rage not being able to control themselves. Doing WHATEVER they can to stop Belos for luz’s sake.
If i had the choice of Belos's fate.... I'd nab the skull, put it in a jar on a shelf, and pester him for as long as i live, making sure the later generations of my bloodline do the same The eternally pissed off skull is gonna be the most hilarious thing ever
Disney Channel Canada ripped us off as here the finale ENDS with Luz stating what happened immediately after the fight before you see her standing in her Good Witch outfit as the credits END. They didn’t show the time skip to the older versions
I also loved Luz's Titan form cuz it made a contrast as Darkness and Magic being the good guys, while Belos/Phillip was likely a religious man and a Wtich hunter which could be interpreted as "Light", idk i found it pretty neat
1:20 I know I'm wrong, but might as well say it. Amity has a cat shirt on with the word BOO, and that might be a reference to the Rats SMP. I hope you like my theory, even though it's most likely wrong
The last minutes or your video made me have a tear You did put words on a feeling I had, and you explained me why I wanted to share the show to all of my friends Thanks, and beautiful video
@@CoreyMillionaire2029Exactly Considering she left Disney back in March I’m doubtful we’ll get any spin-off any time soon (granted a comic or a one off special would be nice). But even if we don’t get that, I’m content with how the show itself ended. Despite the production issues it still delivered a proper ending
Ok the glyph power up thing for the friends you mentioned that SOUNDS SOO COOL! But I’d switch Hunter and Gus One Gus has always been calmer than Hunter So the elements would fit better 2, ice glyphs are reflective which pairs well with Gus’s illusion magic. 3 the fire glyph reason for Hunter you mentioned was good enough
My main problems with Belos death is absence of Caleb and the fact that he died so easily. Bury him at least. I mean this dude survived after being thrown into wall by a god. Also Belos didn’t show any reaction to modern world
Personally, I feel like Belos being stomped to death is actually symbolic of just how far he has fallen. He has been stripped of both his bark and bite and reduced to feeble hollow lies to save his own life.
@@enderknight1442 it's not about symbolism, it's about logic. If Belos could die because of stomping, why killing him was issue in the first place? They could just throw something on him. I only thought that maybe Dana planning getting him back if they allowed to continue the show
@@sizar9003 I mean he was being withered away by the boiling rain and that played a role in it. Plus, I don't think it was a coincidence that it showed up for a minute to melt away Belos. I kind of feel like Luz or the Titan was responsible for it.
I love the editing and the amount of effort you put into your videos. Also that sappy speech when you talked about the glyphs not working hit hard. It made me subscribe honestly. There was a Lack of eda and king in the last episode, which is why they pushed the Hexsqaud to the side, And About What You Said About Hunter confronting belos, He didn't do because he wants nothing to do with him, Not even if face his abuse cause he wants to move on, i Understand That you're Channel Came out Around the Time it was announced Shortened and cut in a small piece of what could a better puzzle, Yes there are some character developments that was weird and a bit rushed Like Boscha's and Kikimora's In FtF But at the same With a Full season would this final Episode Be the same length or another 2 part finale like clouds on the horizon and king's tide?
i loved this so much not only becouce it gave you a voice but also becouce it gave us the compeling reality that not all good things can last forever but all good things will open a new chapter to the next best thing, and that is so compeling to know. thanks to the owl houce i am the person i am today and it is all "thanks to them" for allowing us to keep watching and dreaming for the next best thing to come along and inspire us the same way that this wonderful show has never failed to do. and to that i say thank you for everything dana.
BRO YOU'RE END SPEECH PUT ME TO TEARSS The Owl House really did help discover more of myself and teach me new things, and prove that if I feel alone, I'm not. Mine and Gus's characters are similar, and maybe that's why he's my favorite, with how he strives for perfection and feeling as if his talents aren't good enough talents. I instantly was drawn to him because of how I relate to him, but I also just love him so much. And now I have to subscribe or I will forever regret it
This show was how I discovered the trilogy of Disney Channel shows that I like to call the “Disney Television Animation Legends Trilogy,” or DTVALT for short. The trilogy includes Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and The Owl House, as each show is a spiritual successor to the next one, from left to right. Gravity Falls, the show which I watched while waiting for Watching And Dreaming. The show that made me want to become more adventurous and get out of the house more often. Amphibia, the show that I’m currently in the process of watching which is _already_ having an effect on me, even though I’m only 6 episodes into the second season! And of course, TOH. I’ll never forget this absolute gem of a show! It’s the reason I came out as Bi myself. It’s the reason I have now decided to be my natural, weird self, and to not let society tell me otherwise. Us weirdos have to stick together, after all! And it’s the show that made me love magic as much I do now! Whether that be through trying to simulate the glyphs in Minecraft, or learning Reiki healing in real life (true story, and trust me, it’s literally like having Healing Coven magic IRL!!! Not to mention the fact that IT HAS GLYPHS-although they are just drawn in the air and aren’t actually visible to the naked eye)! I’ll never forget any of these three shows, or their impact on me! They will all live on in my heart forever, and hopefully, they will get the recognition they deserve in due time. Especially TOH. GIVE US A FOURTH SEASON ALREADY!!!

I mean, far as I am concerned, hunter 'reconiliation' of belos, happened in the s 3 e 1, when he you know, basicly tried to sacrifice himself to stop belos. but to each their own
This also connects with me. I found the love of my life from this show. I saw she had a owl house wallpaper and asked her about it and I told her that I like the owl house and watch it. It mad me connect happily. I wouldn't feel this feeling with the owl house. I'm so sad it's gone but " In my heart, I will never forget it."

I really loved this ending. It wrapped up the storyline pretty nicely all things considered, had some terrific character moments and the time skip epilogue was such a heartwarming note to end things on for the characters. I figured that after everything they went through, Luz wouldn't be forced to say goodbye to her Owl House family and friends. There wasn't really any buildup for that and after how often they pointed out that she'd eventually go back to the human realm, I thought that they would throw in a bit of a twist on that expected kind of ending. While I also wish that Luz's friends were more involved in the finale, I can understand why that didn't happen. Luz, Eda and King being the main characters fighting Belos felt pretty fitting. This was their last chance to fight together, showcasing their bonds and how far they had come over the course of the series. Raine being included also made sense when they were possessed by Belos and had been fighting against him since their introduction in season two. I like the idea of her friends representing the different glyphs though. That would have been pretty cool. I disagree that Hunter needed to be involved with Belos' defeat. I understand why fans wanted that when he had a personal connection to Belos and he spent most of the previous episode consumed by his grief over Flapjack, but I don't think it was a necessary part of his character arc. Becoming his own person instead of being Belos' right hand man was his character arc and I don't think he needed to fight off Belos directly to do that. I honestly think that Hunter would be too traumatized from his experiences with Belos to land the final blow. He hated Belos for what he has done and wanted to stop him, but that doesn't mean he'd be able to kill him. Stepping on his remains fits perfectly for Eda, Raine and King, but would feel out of character for Hunter by comparison. I would have loved for Hunter to get something more to do since he's probably my favorite character and his development in the previous season three episodes were terrific, but I don't think having him finish off Belos would have worked. The idea of Belos questioning himself before dying, while an interesting idea, also feels a bit too out of character for him. He had been set in his ways for hundreds of years. Even after Luz defeated him, his first response was to manipulate her since that's all he knew how to do. Despite losing whatever humanity he had left and was a blob of bones and muscles, Belos still considered humans to be better than witches. He was long past the point of being able to self-reflect on his actions and beliefs, so I don't think seeing how Hunter had changed for the better due to being with witches would have changed anything for Belos. Being crushed by the witches and creatures he looked down upon was the exact kind of death he deserved.
Honestly, I realized that this is a show, it's therapy and calming for a lot of people. When people first started talking about this show, I was skeptical about it, but when I saw a fragment of 2s8ep in tiktok where Amity kisses and runs away, I thought about watching it, then another video appeared on this series and another, and then the videos on TOH just started, and I realized that I need to see it, and I liked it right away. And I'm glad that I met this show, because I had a lot of low self-esteem and maybe even had teenage depression, at least apathy. And before that, I found out that I have ADHD and honestly, I immediately saw something of my own in the Pocket. And then I found out that my favorite blogger with ADHD, at that moment, also watched it and from him I learned that Luz also has it. And honestly, considering my age, Luz looks like my female version. Plus, all my friends that I am litteraly Luz, not even outwardly, which caused more intense interest, I kept up with the series exactly on the Eclipse Lake series. And while there was a break between parts of season 2, I managed to review the entire series 2 times, and when part 2 came out, I completely managed 2 more, well, recently I reviewed the entire series completely. And this series is a part of me, and it helped me accept myself and increase my self-esteem, as the characters unfolded, so did I. Also, this series finally made it clear to me whether I am kind or evil, because I realized that if in places I am annoyed or aggressive with people I don't like, it doesn't make me angry. And honestly, he became the main catalyst for why I coped with depression, if it wasn't for the show, then I would have been different. And I'm very glad who I am now. And honestly, remembering the time when I watched episode 1 and 3.3ep, I realized that I had grown up and in many ways it was because of this show. Thanks The owl House❤
What I love about this series is the rhythm and patterns of the humor be it a verbal joke or a visual facial expression or gag like Luz's "old lady" face when Amity took the mouse Luz was gonna eat when Luz was bedridden and nuts.

This video made me cry so much in the end… i dont know why but it just felt like as you were speaking, a part of me was drifting away. The owl house will forever have a place in my heart and i will continue loving it until the end of my days.
I prefer the ending we got for one key reason. Belos is wrong, delusional even ("we're humans" the goop says to the titan). He is wrong, he doesn't change, there's no moment of reflection, no making peace with his fate. Just as evil and self assured on the outside as he always was on the inside.
The goop really thought he was doing the universe a favor and that committing a MASS GENOC1DE was the right and holy answer. Bro deserved to get stomped by boots someone was wearing when they stepped in dog doodoo.
Yeah I'm pretty sure even if Hunter was there it wouldn't have really changed how Belos felt in his last moments. Dude was too far gone to let remorse or anything like that make him second-guess what he had done. Plus all Hunter was to him was just to be a loyal replacement of his older brother that wouldn't side with the witches, so what is essentilly the reincarnation of his dead brother showing up siding yet again with the witches would have... honestly just made Belos even more sure he had been right all along. There was never meant a chance for him to question if his actions were right, because by that point literally nothing would have changed his mind. Belos was built up to be an unwavering tyrant who wanted to wipe out all witches. He stayed that way until the end, and is why people say he was the best villain Disney's had in a while. That unwavering conviction is the whole reason for that.
Fully agree with person above. Below was way to set in his ways to have even considered it. And they way they put it really explained why. It would have done the exact opposite, Belos would have doubled down and just believed it proved his point. After countless Grimwalkers before the Hunter we know today, he had probably been indifferent to anything he did and probably viewed Hunter as maybe less than a tool. With how many Grimwalkers there were I honestly wouldn’t be surprised.
About what you spoke near the end of video about the ending and y'know. I feel you. This show helped so much during hard times of my life and the ending was and still is kinda hard for me, because of what did this show do to me. I met great people in the TOH fandom, and even we sometimes didn't agree in everything we were all here for the show because it gave us something special. And that something speacial if something I'll never forget. Since the ending of the show I have this saying of mine. "The Owl House will never truly end unless we, the fandom, the weirdos, say so. If it will be trough fanarts, fanfics, videos like this one and other things, it will still continue to go on. And maybe who knows, maybe in the future we will all meet here in the continuation of The Owl House and we will watch it all together. But until then. Us weirdos have to stick together."
I will never forget how this show changed my life. It gave me something to talk with others about (even if it was online) it gave me something to adore. It was the first show to have a character that I could relate heavily to.(Luz) I saw a tweet saying,”Luz is to me what Azura is/was to Luz” and that couldn’t be more true.
16:48 (Edit: i wrote this before i actually listened to what he said) Same with Sarah-Nicole Robles (voice actor for Luz) In the Post Hoot she said this, Sarah said that when she was voicing those lines for Luz she thought she was ready for them but once she finished saying them she just instantly started crying and it wasn’t a slow buildup it was instant very loud bawling
She developed to be something different than her main inspiration, yet you can still feel the impact it had on her
Personally, I think 'Luzura' is a better name than 'Azura'
I think it also contrasts with the Boiling Isles and actual fantasy
You'd think a fantasy world in another dimension would be all glittery and colorful full of soft rounds
While the actual Isles is subjectingly more... *Boiling isles* lol, Her design nicely reflecting not only Azura's design as how she started but also with the titan's flair with how she's ending (or currently continuing)
For a second I read Azula’s design and for a second I just stared in confusion.
I think her titan design really demonstrated how she became her own witch, rather than copying her idol.
Those last ~3-4 minutes were almost as touching as the episode itself.
They didn't waste a second of the special and it was factually objectively perfect imo
IKR! Especially with how he weaved the Episode titles into sentences naturally but also with purpose, it was kinda beautiful honestly.
Yeah, I cried again

@@damiangarzadoesyoutube Once he said "For the Future", I saw them coming lol.
So that's means the show goes come back really ?
@@daniapfel9673 ?
@@idontexistanymoretbh yes ,, it was about defeating belos but the moral was sooomething else
Fighting your past doesn't means you'll stick to it. It means you are done with it.
Fr, the moment would be ruined if hunter was there.
That’s true, but on the people who are developed Stockholm syndrome.
He's not violent but he would do anything to save the people that actually care about him now.
"There's so much they could do for season 4, right?"

@@damiangarzadoesyoutube yup, this is a pretty great show.

His inclusion in the last fight with Bellos would've been fun, but he got to tell his creator off and even be saved after his heroic sacrifice thanks to another heroic sacrifice that cemented Hunter as basically the thematic opposite to Bellos.
11:15 cool idea BUT I would assign the glyphs differently:
Willow: No changes. Obvious things are obvious
Gus: Light. What is Gus's thing? Illusions. What determines what we see? Light. It's not rare to find characters manipulating light can for example make themselves invisible AND the invisibility glyph is most present in Through The Looking Glass Ruins which is a Gus centered episode
Hunter: fire. This is kind of streched out but fire resembles Flapjack so I imagine a heart-warming scene when while fighting he tears up seeing his pancake friend created from flames OR a whole swarm of flaming Flapjacks attacking Belos as a last "**** YOU"
Last but not least, Amity: Ice glyph. When did Luz discover ice glyphs? Adventures in the elements WITH AMITY. They could even recreate the scene where Luz was trapped in a cage by this time Amity creating one not to keep Luz away from her but to keep her safe from a incoming attack, later launching both of them into the sky to recreate their combined attack from their fight with Tara
I'm sorry, I'm obsessed with refrences
The animation on that last episode was freaking amazing
I agree (mostly) with just about everything you mentioned. This show ended on a great note, one we will never forget anytime soon.
One note about Hunter, though: while I do admit him having a hand in Belos' demise would have been very fitting, I saw somewhere that he kinda already had closure with more or less saying in Thanks to Them that he wanted nothing to do with Belos ever again. So Hunter not directly confronting Belos, but instead thwarting his efforts in anyway he can, was, in a way, a fitting end for him. But again, I see where you're coming from.
Imagine how better it could of all been had Disney not decided to be all Homophonic & cut them short~

Bro managed to Quote all the Episodes of S3. True legends. I feel bad that i only found ur channel after this amazingg show, but maybe there will be a spin off! You are amazing, love the ending, it was amazinggg
It's such a beautiful ending! It made me so damn happy.... 🥹🥹🥹👏👏👏👏👏👏
But is it enough to not have a fourth season
@@gablit-gt8kk well, yes and no. It really wraps up the story so nicely, but it would also be fun with more adventures
@@olleselin if they could only produce the rest of the story, the ending would have been way more powerful if they gave life to the whole journey
The speech at the end hit me personally it was amazing and truly was something I needed thank you
Gus: “We’ve got a bucket!”
Luz: “No, we don’t.”
That was perfect timing with the mouth movement!
This episode is easily one of my favourite finales to a show ever! I love that they set up potential for future content too
There's so much resistance against happy endings that it seems creatives feel forced to aim for something sad or bittersweet.
I agree I felt like they had enough focus
I agree, the episode was def stronger without the kids. Hunters arc felt finished after he fought Belos in TTT. However, I wonder why you dislike his character? I found him very compelling and liked him better after his redemption.
Hunter & Hooty got HOSED! Even Camila was left on the sidelines babysitting puppets! That said, "Thanks to Them" i thought was the best of the 3.
Thank YOU so much Jason, I'm glad you're here 😊
@pikaianebdbdjeej bro stop. Not cool.
personally i like how it kept focus on the main 3 especially for the time. also well hunter definitely was growing idk how well he would handle seeing belos again.
I would've really liked if there was a scene of Luz's friends seeing her titan form, similarly to the characters seeing Harpy Eda.
It all started as just them and ended as them.
i blame bob iger and bob chapek
Wow, I really feel the same way (about what you said at the end) your words were touching, I have class in a few minutes and I dont wanna cry thank u very much :')
"You must liberate your mind from such dogmatic ideals, rid yourself of this unending illusion that stories have clear beginnings and endings. I really like Eda and Kings rage modes. Seeing how much emotion was in their eyes really put out how they felt after Luz died. (I was thinking while watching that scene) they went into a blind rage not being able to control themselves. Doing WHATEVER they can to stop Belos for luz’s sake.
Kasrium: "The show gave me a voice after a lot of years of saying silent"
Also Kasrium: "Eh, 9/10"
(This is purely comedic and sarcastic)
If i had the choice of Belos's fate.... I'd nab the skull, put it in a jar on a shelf, and pester him for as long as i live, making sure the later generations of my bloodline do the same
The eternally pissed off skull is gonna be the most hilarious thing ever
Why does the thumbnail make it look like stringbean is blasting a red laser beam
Lol, you right 😅
Because stringbean is the most op hahah
Also Titan Luz reflects the line "otter with a dark side". 😆 also calling you out for the Captain Planet reference!
The last minutes or your video made me have a tear
You did put words on a feeling I had, and you explained me why I wanted to share the show to all of my friends
Thanks, and beautiful video
really hoping they make a spin-off
Support Dana Terrace until she's ready! She's taking a rest now.
@@CoreyMillionaire2029Exactly
Considering she left Disney back in March I’m doubtful we’ll get any spin-off any time soon (granted a comic or a one off special would be nice).
But even if we don’t get that, I’m content with how the show itself ended. Despite the production issues it still delivered a proper ending
Ok the glyph power up thing for the friends you mentioned
that SOUNDS SOO COOL!
But I’d switch Hunter and Gus
One Gus has always been calmer than Hunter
So the elements would fit better
2, ice glyphs are reflective which pairs well with Gus’s illusion magic.
3 the fire glyph reason for Hunter you mentioned was good enough
My main problems with Belos death is absence of Caleb and the fact that he died so easily. Bury him at least. I mean this dude survived after being thrown into wall by a god. Also Belos didn’t show any reaction to modern world
You're Right!!"Is this the world I sacrificed so much for?!"
who the fuck would like to bury belos…he didn’t deserve anything, his death was perfect.
Your voice is soothing and you make it obvious that you loved the show with all your heart. Please keep up the amazing work. Either the owl house might have another way in continuing or you'll find another show to make videos about but i cannot wait to see other videos of you commenting of a show you love and what you would've wished or what you noticed that i might not have. I'm glad i found this channel. Stick together weirdos. Anyhoot (yes i noticed that lmao), BAIII
There was a Lack of eda and king in the last episode, which is why they pushed the Hexsqaud to the side, And About What You Said About Hunter confronting belos, He didn't do because he wants nothing to do with him, Not even if face his abuse cause he wants to move on,
i Understand That you're Channel Came out Around the Time it was announced Shortened and cut in a small piece of what could a better puzzle, Yes there are some character developments that was weird and a bit rushed Like Boscha's and Kikimora's In FtF
But at the same With a Full season would this final Episode Be the same length or another 2 part finale like clouds on the horizon and king's tide?
i loved this so much not only becouce it gave you a voice but also becouce it gave us the compeling reality that not all good things can last forever but all good things will open a new chapter to the next best thing, and that is so compeling to know.
thanks to the owl houce i am the person i am today and it is all "thanks to them" for allowing us to keep watching and dreaming for the next best thing to come along and inspire us the same way that this wonderful show has never failed to do.
and to that i say thank you for everything dana.
I never expect a show to be this good
BRO YOU'RE END SPEECH PUT ME TO TEARSS
The Owl House really did help discover more of myself and teach me new things, and prove that if I feel alone, I'm not.
I understand what you mean, but Owl House still was able to get a proper and beautiful ending. Especially the epilogue.
I wouldn’t want to ruin it
"It can be the hardest thing, to realize that you can't hold onto something forever. Sometimes, you have to let it go. But of the things you let go, you'd be surprised what makes its way back to you."

IT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!! Hopefully.
This show was my light when I was recovering from my surgery 3 years I remember staying on the couch rolled up in my blanket not wanting to do with anything ( I had kidney surgery involving one of the ruptured bipolmas …) when this show came on it sparked me into wanting to recover faster and making me want to push my limits ..ngl the week I stayed in the hospital with under trained nurses and constant screaming from the next room over…it had taken all from me
Thanks to my family and this show I was able to make it through all that hell…
Many years later my passion for this show grew stronger to the point I grabbed all my friends and watched the show start to finish …at first they thought it was one of my typical shows I try to pull people into but as further we went on they started to understand what I meant by my recovery show..when the end of the show hit its final credits..we all kinda were sad but understandably content with it …sure it was over but now…it’s honestly not forgotten
I know I have been babbling a lot and jumped around in my babbling but thanks to this show it honestly changed my life for the better and honestly no show has ever made me feel that way period
Thank you for reading if you made it this far and hope you all have a wonder night/morning ~
That’s rough, hope you’re a lot better now

HAHAHAHAHAHA OKAY I LOVE THAT LINE
16:59 started to hit hard I also kept on rewatching the show
I really loved this ending.
I don't want the owl house to end, I wish there could be a season 4 cause there are some unanswered questions 😭😭
What I love about this series is the rhythm and patterns of the humor be it a verbal joke or a visual facial expression or gag like Luz's "old lady" face when Amity took the mouse Luz was gonna eat when Luz was bedridden and nuts.
Another thing, it's so great that the finale did not pull a SVTFOE on us. Really dodged a bullet right there...😅
In season 2 episode 9 "Eclipse Lake" 20:53 to 20:57 when eda falls into the house her irises are completely black and not yellow like they usally are.

Belos* too*
About what you spoke near the end of video about the ending and y'know.
It was the first show to have a character that I could relate heavily to.(Luz)
I saw a tweet saying,”Luz is to me what Azura is/was to Luz” and that couldn’t be more true.
16:48 (Edit: i wrote this before i actually listened to what he said) Same with Sarah-Nicole Robles (voice actor for Luz) In the Post Hoot she said this, Sarah said that when she was voicing those lines for Luz she thought she was ready for them but once she finished saying them she just instantly started crying and it wasn’t a slow buildup it was instant very loud bawling
rise hands if you know the other 3 cartons he showed she ra, amphibia, star vs the forces of evil
