My first car that I kept any longer was a Fiat Uno -87, paid 500 € in 2004. Spent 800 € for spares and repairs right after purchase but then it served me well for 4 years an 60.000 km. A great peppy little car! Got 400 € when I sold it, still in good condition.
Everybody needs to own a Cinquecento at some point in their life (the proper little boxy one) , I've just purchased my 3rd sporting and I absolutely love it (again).
I bought a diesel Clio four years ago for £500. It had high mileage but I knew the owner and it had a good service history (servicing etc done by the book). It has now done over 200,000 miles and still going ‘strong’ . Never let me down 🙂.
I got a "non running " 2005 volvo v70 for £500 last week 22.000 miles 1 owner just wouldn't turn over the guy I got it from saidbhe tried a battery but it was still no good . So I went and had a look noticed a fuse was dead . Gave the guy 500 signed the logbook put the new fuse in started it up and drove away
@@acid3129 Good result! I have to say I had a car like the one you bought, spent goodness knows how much on it to no avail but always suspected it would be something simple like a sensor (yes,I checked the fuses 😉).
Well done both love the cinquecento I remember my dad having one as a courtesy car when we had our Tipo diesel from 1994-97 Always loved the cinquecento such a cute little car but very roomy and great for around town! The unleaded fuel sticker is correct for the car they were fitted from new! Look forward to seeing more adventures on this little car suddenly they are so rare now
I had a red one back in 2006,paid £150 for it & it was love at first sight😊 Aww i think u could keep all of the stickers on it,its part of its history,so much fun & nippy... Enjoy!😊
Great first video; the intro music reminds me of the theme to UTVs Pamela Ballintine show. Friend at queens had a blue one in 1998, posh SX one. Was tough sitting it up Belview Hill!!
Just found your channel through HubNuts walkaround if the NEC this year. I do like the Cinquecento you have. What was the name of the other channel that you have?
This brings back memories! I had one 10-12 years ago, loved it till it dumped all the coolant at 60 mph on the A1😂 They do drink oil, even from new but other than that their great
My 1997 899s doesn't drink any oil but it does weep around the rocker gasket. I've had it 6years and it's a hobby for me. These engine's are very hardy and last much better than the 1108cc fire units.
@@alsodriven What!? Didn't it have the word airbag written on it? or is my member playing up, or is it different to the Sei steering wheel? I've had loads of centos, bit only earlier Cinq's and Sei's.
@@PKWeaver74 the bit were the Airbnb should be is just a rubber cover that can just be prised off leaving the empty void behind it where the airbag should be The were only standard on the Sporting
My old car. I miss it so much already ❤️ so happy it's in such good hands
id have give 750 for that no prob
My Mum had this car during the early 90's till around 2002. It's like looking at a place I used to call home.
My first ever car. Loved it and was so fun to drive and full of character.

Love the random chatter between you both 😂. The video/vlog style was great too, looking forward to more!
Thank you very much
That start up sound was very nostalgic, took me right back to my Seicento Mia (Sebastian), a brilliant car.
Aww that's good. The engine sounds so sweet

Congrats on a brilliant first video and the purchase after a very cute Cinquecento!
Many thanks!
Great first video and a nice looking car. Cars that you don't need are the best kind of car!
What a fun video, this concept is great

Love this gentlemen. Great to meet you both at the NEC too
I came off Twitter so missed the Jim in my life. Glad you two have started a channel - great watch!
Hopefully get the new video from the NEC Classic up soon
Can’t keep Jim away from a nice Fiat. Don’t blame him , great cars.
2bh Fiat Seicento/600 (187) and Cinquecento are just the best small baby cars in my opinion and saying ya dont need it , trust me bro you need one !
That's our first video and we are absolutely in love with it now
That is so, so tidy. Makes my £460 one look like a shed. 😂
You have done well by yours Colin!
Great video gentlemen. Next week: trip to Italy to pick up an original radio … and some wine!
What a tempting idea!
That thing seems to be in awesome confition!
And we hope to keep it that way, just got it rust proofed in last week's video
If only it was in yellow with 1 red door 😂
Don't say that to Jim!!
this car looks like new, so clean. My 2016 C3 is much dirtyer:). You bought a nice car, take a good care off him..
Thanks! Will do!
My last 4 cars cost less than €500, one was €230 and did me for 5 years!
That's some amazing frugality!

More of this kind of thing, post haste! 👍❤️🏆
Thanks Charles!
The d day sticker was my addition, not very tasteful but the Silverstone lap was completed with Christmas lights
Sorry James but originality is huge to Sion. He's just tracked down the original Fiat Phillips radio for it

Bright sunshine in MK. When did it get its own micro climate?
Fiar 500 next to it on the driveway - FIAT people reside there and are to be trusted
They were good folk
Maybe I'm wrong but were you at cars and coffee in dundalk last Sunday 🤔
you should paint it yellow, and the passenger door red.
Oh hell no 🤣
its awesome!!
It better be, lot riding on it this week
@@alsodriven You'll be fine
I'd keep the unleaded fuel sticker. Looks original and if not, it suits it well.
Yes, I think you are right
I mean, I could be convinced to invest in a Cinquecento...
We both know any car in that condition in the U.S. market now is $3k or more…💰
You never know where this one will end up. We were just discussing it a few minutes ago
It would be legal for US import next year, that might make the prospect of owning it ever so slightly more tempting.
January 2023. It's registered very early
@@alsodriven I have extra space.. Heck, it would probably fit in the bed of the F150.
Amazing cars!
I thought buy one for travel to work... But the fuel consumption is no proportional with his size... 6l/100km 😮 is the same as a big car
No
It has a stick but no tach?! I can't quite comprehend that 😅
You just judge it based on the number of valves that come out and dance on the bonnet as the revs rise
Is this the first video of your channel or the old ones got deleted? Looking forward for Part 2 btw
It's our first together
Oooh a late one with an airbag!
Actually it's a dummy airbag lol. It's just a void behind the cover

Was it a rental car at some point, so that’s why it has Unleaded Fuel on the fuel cap
No, they all came like that. Leaded petrol was available for much longer in eastern Europe than the west and as they were made in Poland
What a nice car! Amazing condition. Is it a an 899 or 1.1?
899cc Frank
😂😂😂...Ive never paid more than 600 quid for a car.
Been driving 44 years.
Why put a odd headlight in I wouldn’t
Think it was all that was available to the previous owner at the time
It's not a 500.
No, it's a Cinquecento
Ask an Italian mathematician what cinquecento+500=
Mornings… ewww
