- Aaron from the Car Obsession channel recently messaged me, asking if he should buy a Seicento off Facebook Marketplace. I told him to do it, and the result is this nugget project car that will be joining us on an upcoming roadtrip!

I had a broom yellow spi sporting abarth new in 1999! Did over 80,000 miles in that little thing and it never let me down!

Found this channel after buying a 2000 Seicento Hobby SPI last week. It's really nice! Relatively low mileage, no rust spotted yet! It's great seeing people like you with experience in the Seicento realm. Thanks for sharing!
I am going to keep it stock, apart from maybe suspension. Personal preference not a fan of decking it out :)
Small Fiat's are really bad! ..
Once you buy one you will never want anything else!!
I bought my Cinquecento many years ago..as it was all my local dealer had.. planning to get rid when something better came in...6years later, replacing the rusty subframe, welding the inner rear wheel arches, replacing the suspension, doing a head gasket ( mine didn't have a temperature gauge and it cooked on the motorway) retro fitting a temperature gauge from a newer model etc etc it eventually became too unsafe to keep repairing..37k- 267k miles she went to the breakers..I bought an old Punto 1900 TDI..and then another Punto 1.2 and now on my second Panda 1.1 eco.. dreadful engine doesn't come close to the 1.2 fire imho. First is laid up in the back yard awaiting the new suspension to be kept..my current one is now in need of new suspension..
First one had a better 1.1 fire than my current one with only 40k on the clock and both 59 reg?! Both have really nasty gearboxes.

Trust me, after the health check it had, the sunroof definitely wasn't the priority lol.

I would love to ask some advice if possible ,
I'm looking at getting a 03 sporting myself as a project , £170 found one very cheap with mot failure. Everything it's failed on is peanuts to repair other than the power steering is broken .. is this a easy fix or worth doing 🤔 should be able to do the work myself so there's no garage fees 🙌🏼 all help is appreciated 😊
Hi bud, if all the repairs are cheap then it's worth doing 👍 the steering issue could be anything from a column to a rack, it's worth getting it on a ramp and diagnosing further 🤔 best of luck!

What's your opinion on a seicento as a first car, I've seen the buyers guide video. I feel like the sporting might be a good call, but I was curious, which websites I can get it for the most reasonable prices? Thanks. Any extra info will also be appreciated if you do decide to reply 😄. And finally what price is considered good and what would you consider "overpriced"?

I bought a red seicento sporting with 6000 miles on it back in 99 I think. Oh my days never again , it chewed through brakes, burst a rad, the boot completely stopped opening and finished up with a head gasket 😤
I still reckon my little S model is probably the best in the country, with 15 years in a garage 28,000 on the clock, no welding. I did want to bring it to Fest Of The Unexceptional this year but can't make it unfortunately, so we'll have to wait and see!

Hi Miller. I need some quick advice....
I have a 2003 Seicento Sporting and I've been told today by the mechanic (after getting a fuel tank replaced) that the driver's side sill will need replacing / patched up. These are not the Abarth Side skirts, however I've seen a pair of these types for sale. Will Abarth side skirts fully replace the standard / sporting sills, or are they simply a cover over the actual sills that I need to get? Best regards.
Hi Owen, the side skirts are plastic covers that go over the metal sills - you'll either need the metalwork fabricated or see if you can buy new 🤔
