Except reality says otherwise; EV sales have had their highest sales EVER in 2023. We hate on EV’s, but the masses don’t- normal vehicle consumers buy vehicles for transportation and want efficiency- customers in the hundreds of millions. Dodge will barely crack 100,000 sales this year if their lucky- enthusiasts are in the minority majorly, and that is why it seems automakers are never listening to us. Dodge needed to sell their very old cars with little investment to get people interested after bankruptcy- Sergio Marchionne knew high horsepower would help customers overlook the mediocre build quality, cheap interiors, and outdated technology of Dodge vehicles. He was correct. However Stellantis is not continuing down the road of selling decades old cars, paying CAFE penalties, and buying billions of dollars of emissions credits from Tesla just to sell 80,000 muscle cars a year. Stellantis sees Teslas financial success and wants a piece of the potential EV customer base. Dodge won’t care if we pack up and stop buying their cars, they’ll get far more customers selling practical efficient transportation- sucks as it may for all us enthusiasts, but those are the facts. Dodge USED to sell 500,000+ cars, trucks, and SUV’s only 16 short years ago- when it was a full-line automaker. It’s dwindled to this niche automaker, with not even enough cash to invest in any new engines of its own. If Dodge EVER wants to be able to sell special halo cars with V8 engines ever again, they first need to start selling the types of vehicles that will attract the massive market of regular consumers looking for efficient transportation. EV’s are part of that strategy, believe it or not.
When the banshee was first unveiled, it was reported that there would be transmission although the vehicle would be electric to allow for the seat of the pants feel mimicking a high powered v8 going through the gears. There's also supposed to be an "electric v8" sound. Go back and look it up.
That makes zero sense. They would be going in the opposite direction. They would go with a smaller v8, probably around 4.5 liters, dohc, vvt, and possibly turbocharged. If not turbocharged, then supercharged. They might even make the engine smaller. They can go as small as a 3.5 liter v8.

It won’t matter to me if the electric car will blow the doors off the gas powered one!
And the price will be astronomical for an untested, Italian Dodge. Will the market be willing to pay 65-85K for it plus burgeoning loan rates? Doubtful.
Allegedly they're getting a new electric transmission, that's why they have transmission tunnels maybe? Imagine an electric tremec six speed utilizing its gears instead of the electric motor gears.
Even The Hurricane is not going to do it. After years of Building the Brand with Hemi V8s. It's going to be very interesting...
Will it still be easier to steal than a shopping cart?😂
They still looking out.
Bruh how much does the banshee weigh? Imagine it being the same weight as the track cars Chevy and ford
They're probably gonna do a slow rolling release like before where it's just the Hurricane at first to test the waters, just like how they just had the Pentastar V6 in the 300 at first. Then if things are looking good, they'll drop a new V8 in it. If I had to guess it'll probably be something based off the same Fiat engineering that made the Hurricane, but instead they'll just merge 2 Fiat/Stellantis I4 engines together and make a crossplane twin turbo V8. Purists will probably get mad that it's not an iron block pushrod, but I look forward to seeing a mopar with a lighter weight engine inside, and carving up curves with it.
Hate to say it but they already announced they're actually the first automaker to attach more than a two speed transmission to an electric vehicle. Just saying.
More room for battery components joke 😂😂😂
battery components!? HAHA!! YEAH RIGHT!! nice try tho! 😂
The way dodge is gonna circumvent the taxes, is that they will sale you car, but for like an additional 2500"labor cost" (all can be added to the car note) they'll swap the hurricane for a 6.4L. and it all under warranty😂😂😂
