I had my first and only divorce in 1977. It was just after Georgia began no fault divorces. I never attended court, paid half for one lawyer to prepare paperwork, we agreed and divorce granted. She got everything except my clothes and a junky 1968 Mustang. And child support which had a clause raising the payment equivalent percentage wise to all future raises. I did over 20 in the military and we never had a disagreement over the kids.
My father went through this and several of my friends and coworkers. I love women and I don't blame them but divorce court is completely messed up. One lazy or incompetent or wimpy judge and it's a disaster. The lawyers are the only ones that win $$$.

His ex went through 3 or 4 attorneys before it was settled because she didn't like what was said. He got a fair settlement I think finally with weekend visits, after it was too late to repair relationships and lots of hate spewing by her to the whole family. She has even acted awful at ballgames and such. The ultimate judgment was when he went to get the kids after the court ordered visitation and she called the cops on him. They had an emergency hearing the next week and what do you know? The judge who was also a lady, that had been kinda lenient on the ex, said something to the effect, I have had it. I put in place an order and it will be followed. Plus she sanctioned his ex to pay his attorney fees and court costs for the unnecessary hearing. The kids are still censored on what to say, what to do, etc. Its so sad. The kids are the ones hurt the most
