I being born and raised on Kauai and lived on Oahu, Wheeler Army airfield was Wheeler AFB, Barbers Point NAS was still active but the USCG is still there, Ft Derussy and Ft Ruger was still under control by the army, and Kauai has the PMRF at Barking Sands. I used to live very close to Barbers Point and spent some of my summers on base when I had an uncle stationed there during the 70's.

It definitely can be. My brother in law is stationed at schofield right now and for the time they have been stationed here it wouldn’t be far off to say that he spent half of the time away from his family in the field, big island training, pathways, etc.
Housing near and around the Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam area is experiencing serious water contamination at the moment with no real solution as of yet. Maybe something for you to Google but essentially there’s gas in the water. Other than that sour news there’s a ton of great areas in Pearl City, Mililani, Kailua, etc. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions! Thank you 🤙

Uuumm, you wouldn't happen to have a map where all the nuclear missiles are at? I've read there are about 15,000 missiles shilos, and rowen missiles in submarines. I know the Navy patrols the entire Hawaiian area 24/7, they even have a special base in the island of Nihau. . I may not mind moving to Kahoolawe , I'll just tell the Navy : " Hey guys, just don't shoot this way ".Mahalo buddy.
NO bases on Niihau...Privately owned! Although military nuke info is highly confidential/compartmentalized, no missile storage facility is in 808. Closest reactor/missile overhaul facility is W Coast, either Bremerton or SD?
