I recently purchased my first high quality clothing item, a merino wool polo from Reiss, I love it! HUGE difference from anything I have gotten before. Thanks for helping me in the lifestyle improvement journey!
Thanks for the video, Brian! I’ve been hoping to see a new long form video from you. The blue Glen Plaid sport coat is probably my favorite piece - great color and pattern. Also, as someone who has been a follower of yours for some time now, I have to say I appreciate the evolution of your video production as well. Your use of editing, lighting, b-roll, etc. is truly engaging and creative. Thanks, as always!

No matter how careful you pack…better hope your hotel room has an iron with all of that linen. If you’re in a hot resort where are the non -swim shorts? I’d ditch a pair of the trousers for some crisp chino shorts and also a polo shirt in a versatile colour. Good video with some inspiration though.
I agree, especially with more colour like shades of red or green (i.e. pastels). The black trousers could be sacrificed, especially if the loafer is brown. I would also add a white minimalist leather sneaker, for walking about town and the more casual looks. Nice capsule though.
Not sure I can get the whole capsule together in time but I’ll definitely be applying some of these tips for an upcoming resort trip in Mexico. Thank you!
Awesome capsule. We could all take inspiration and simply switch out a couple of items or change colors slightly (ie: navy rather than black etc.) or toss in some linen shorts or whatever suits our own individual style and lifestyle.
Love it, trying to get there! I see the Japanese guest wearing lightweight unstructured blazers ! Something that I've incorporated into my summer wardrobe...
I've worn both and have to say that I'm partial to the AOs. Likely because I also have a vintage pair from the 1950s that I used to wear with my Army uniform.
I love the style and presentation of this channel but there's no way I'm wearing long pants and a sports coat in summer where I live. Anyone know of a similar video/channel where they put together a capsule wardrobe for hotter summers (e.g. shorts, linens, more casual style)?
Great piece of content offering lots of value. Always love the long form videos and open and read every newsletter. Recently picked up my first chocolate leather penny from brooks brothers that I use at least twice a week for work but I’ve found them difficult to dress down for summer, especially with no-shows. That being said, I’ve seen you rock suede tassels and I’ve been looking out for some. As my first pair of suede tassels that I’d like to get four seasons out of, do you suggest tan like the suede Pennys here or a chocolate brown suede like the ones you have from Morjas?
Thanks for your continued support! So happy to hear that. Honestly, I was a little worried with the color of these loafers. I used to wear a color like this all the time but I've found it a bit harder over the past five years or so and, like you, tend to gravitate towards darker browns. However, I must say that putting this video together was a lot of fun and re-opened my eyes to the versatility of this shoe. I haven't been wearing the Morjas nearly as much -- actually, not at all over the past couple years -- so would highly recommend a penny like this.
Comment on China is definitely true. As a manufacturing engineer, I have seen products made in China that vastly exceed the quality of many (or most) American products, at a fraction of the cost. If you buy from a reputable brand that produces quality, you’ll get quality, regardless of what country is on the tag. Personally, I still buy made in America whenever I can. As someone working an American manufacturing job, I like to support American manufacturing jobs!
It is a really good choice! But I consider choosing brown or dark blue trousers instead black and blue cell-patterned shirt instead yours. And I would ask you opinion to get grain leather half lined loafer (like jl lopez moorland grain). All the best
i love those loafers. looks amazing. however, i always experience heel slippage with loafers, so they are not practical for me. next best option would be loafer-shaped single monk straps! my preferred outfits are - 1, 3, 6, 11, 12, 17
Great video. Is the white shirt a cotton poplin, and is the collar soft or stiff like a dress shirt? Also, for a summer resort I would have loved to see at least a pair of shorts, sneakers or sandals! Thanks.

Those are some sharp loafers, Brian. Can you say more about the No-show sock thing? About why women’s socks are better? I’ve copped a couple nice pairs of loafers from abroad and never wear them because I have yet to solve my no-show problem.
We go on a 2-3 week Euro cruise every summer and I always bring too much. It's a luxury cruise, so I always feel like I need to dress up, but few people do anymore. This time I will try your capsule idea, but I do need more than 1 pair of shoes. I tried hiking/walking long distances in loafers last time and I was left missing my Merrells.

Made in China must be looked at how we look at Made in China parts, in the automotive industry. Made in China is different than Made for “USA Company” in China which typically signifies that there are higher processes and QC at the manufacturing facility in said location. BMW, VW, Porsche, and Audi all have their factory original parts being made in house in their China manufacturing plants. Yes, even current production vehicles. Brian, welcome back. 🥃

Finally a new video about summer outfits, thank you! Regarding the "China" thing. I'm in no doubt that the worlds largest factory country is able to produce high quality products but I'm also not willing to pay the same price for those products as if they were made in a country with higher labour cost e.g. europe. This usually is the base price on which all margins are put on top and therefore if such products are high in price I'm just not willing to spend the same amount as I know that then the retailer is just taking out way too much money out of my pocket.
