    Hey! Food trucker here! We would disengage the fire suppression system before transit. We would open the red box and take out the co2 canister to prevent it from being triggered. Never had it go off by accident. Food trucking is very tough, I wish you the best!

    Sold hundreds of those systems, What happens is when they arm the system, they tighten the cable, and if they cross the cable over it self on the spool, it can shift enough, especially in transit and it get a little extra slack and it can fire off, when nothing has been pulled. What you can do, is when in transit, Remove the small gas cartridge. so if it fires, it does not fire off the main tank. Then when you get there, verify it is still cocked and not tripped and screw the cartridge back in.

      As someone who works with safety instrumented systems in the chemical industry, this is an inexcusable problem.
      An end user should never have to routinely modify a safety system in order to ensure it doesn’t accidentally trip itself. If this is a “known” issue after hundreds of installs, the manufacturer needs to redesign their system to be safe and also reliable.

The pin should also feel loose in the hole. If it is tight... do not remove it. You'll set the system off again. Let me know if you have any questions. Also have a shut off put in the squib line if the squib isn't removeable, other wise just remove the squib when you want to move the van.

      alluminum reacts with alkalines, if the fire supression system has them the chemical reaction can eat the alluminum and leave massive pits in the metal or if left long enough eat the metal all togethor. And it does it quick depending on the concetration. Lye and oven cleaners will eat aluminum like nothing if left long enough. We used alkalime chemicals to strip anodizing from aluminum parts.

    If you take off the front plate of the system you will find a pin that can be put in place to stop the firing pin from hitting if it were to go off. This is only for driving, obvisouly. Usually, you have to lave the faceplate off to have it in place so that is clearly not working at the time. You could also remove the CO2 as stated elsewhere but when inspector signs off on the unit it is understood you won't remove the cartridge. ..

    Count yourselves lucky. My sister and I got a custom built food truck from Food Truck Builders in Miami. They overcharged us by about 50k making the total of just the truck 107k. The truck was supposed to be brand new and it turned out to be 10 years old. And when it came to our fire suppression system, they put it in our contract that they'd put it in and tested it... We found out half a year in that we didn't have a fire suppression system at all. We had the cosmetic exteriors of piping leading into a metal box that was screwed shut, but the box was empty. And then because that same company also worked with Burger Beast and ran several events in Miami, we couldn't say shit or we'd risk losing business by getting black listed from most of the South Florida events.
    This all happened over a decade ago now. But had I known sooner yall were looking to do this, I would have said something sooner. The industry for food truckers is bullshit and not worth it. I would only wish it on my worst enemy.

      no need to endure the worst withdrawals, Subs bro, and a taper plan and if youre serious about saving you family, life and all that you will stick to it, bit.no need to put your life on hold for 2 months and your health even more than it already has, cause yea. I've been there and it took 2 and a half weeks for the withdrawals to stop bit for a few months and a couple different SSRI's, which suck, i still wasn't right. Went back on roxy's for another 3 years then went to a dr and got on a great outpatient program, stuck to it, and never had a single withdrawal symptom until the last day I took my last quarter piece and I have never looked back, been completely off of opiates for 7 years but I included the start of my taper my first day of sobriety because I literally was able to start working after 8 years jobless in that first week after my first dr visit. You can do it brother, but no need to suffer for so long, you have suffered enough.

      @@ukcats82for real as thats the easiest way and least damaging to the body but just dont stay on it forever or do if its that kind of grip but thats a vice for vice, even if more manageable. I actually tell fetty users though to go methadone and stabalize before switching to subutex for a week to avoid precipitated withdrawal before making the move to suboxone to have that extra lil reassurance of naloxone in ya. Stabalize, reduce taper, stabalize, repeat. Ive seen folks who then use kratom and maybe a 7 day ativan taper to jump off that last lil bit of Buprenorphine and do that in the last two weeks to month before absolutely stopping it all. Bupes a blessing because it tajes the wirst away and leaves just enough suffering to register this isnt the way to live where ive seen folks even higher on a regular supply of methadone then i ever saw them on the streets. But i do think its needed now with fetynals grasp on folks, the subs dont cut it anymore for a 4 to 5 gram a day fet user.

    • @derrickharmon7980
      @derrickharmon7980 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Get your primary on board and if he or shes a cool one they can write a Buprenorphine script for pain even though we all know its under the premise of addiction. Many states just allowed primaries to at least right out Buprenorphine/subutex under the premise of pain and Not addiction. If you dont got a primary you can be real with like that find one, they exist. If really ready to change, youll be writing them off from ever giving you harder opiates but isnt that the point. Try and be real with your Dr. Most will be thrilled actually for that want of change and if theyre not, Run because they want you to stay sick and collect that insurance dough🏃 which ive had drs get mad ive jumped off addictive substances on my own, to which i say if so, find a new doc. What ive done. Anyways i wish u the best but that dudes right. No need to stop life completely just understand maintanice meds hold a reputation for a reason. The withdrawals maybe less intense initially but methadone and subs are hell to just bounce off of with months of withdrawal, so make sure if you go that route just do it under a drs disrcetion and not your dealers.

My bf has his own trucking company he owns his truck etc, we were doing really well then out of no where in ELOY AZ in the middle of the night a stupid young drunk girl almost killed him and completely destroyed his semi. All the hard work he’s put in for years tanked…we kept going and had a lot of horrible downs after that financially and mentally but months later he’s back up and running, truck is fully fixed giving up would have been so much easier but we kept pushing.

However, I am grateful to you for sharing it. I too am having a bad day. A new to me truck I recently purchased to travel the country with my family is back in the shop. Again. We spent the morning broke down in a target parking lot coordinating towing, insurance, and the receiving shop.In a town I just arrived yesterday. I just got back from the rental car shop and watched your video, and it made me feel less alone with the bad day I am having. I know that whatever is going on with my truck will get sorted out, or I will trade it in. You too will sort this fire suppression system fiasco. They should cover the cost to fix and replace the damaged property.
