    I have one and I selected it for the battery life and ease of use and the big screen as I can’t see much close when I have my contacts on 😂 good review.

    You can extend the battery life by also changing the GPS settings. Settings - Bike Settings - Road - GPS System. I have it on Normal and that seems to work fine for most navigation/route following. High or Ultra High Accuracy would probably drain the battery more. Also the more bluetooth/ANT devices you have paired the more battery drain so if you have a phone, HR monitor, power meter, Di shifting and a tail light all connected it will burn through quickly. Turning off Alerts and Messaging also helps. One thing I noticed and have no answer to yet is why only some of my routes saved in Strava import into the Bryton app and not all of them. What is the criteria for selecting which ones to import? If I create a duplicate of a course and give it a new name it will import on the next sync so maybe its got something to do with when the course was created

    Greetings.
    Friends, is there yellowing on the top-bottom, right and left sides of the screen? I have yellowing especially on the edges of the screen.

    My rides go past 4 hours, but I suspect I might reach max battery life at some point if I do longer rides. So Bryton Rider S800 d seems to be borderline, just enough to be usable. Can you at least turn the light down easily?

    The stuff about the backlight and that battery life is nonsense. What about using the "auto" feature - Hello!! ..or doesn't that work?

    Does it crash as frequently as a garmin , I have a garmin 1040 crashes every ride now or has no turn by turn or sends me to weird houses and not race route 😅

    You bought a Time ADHX???? GREEN with envy! Can't wait to hear your thoughts. Are you going to put that Ekar on it?

      It is an ADHX! And I won't be going Campy because... well... watch my review of Ekar to understand.

    I'm irritated that they released this a few months after the Bryton Rider 750 was released. I'm happy with my 750 but this computer looks like a good upgrade from the 750.

    Why does nobody ever test navigation? Routes are not navigation, if I have a route then I know where I am going, I am following the route. If I have this gps and I am out somewhere, can this unit take me somewhere else? 9min review and I still don't know. What is so difficult? Ride somewhere, think of the name of a coffee shop somewhere else, the the gps to take you there, like all the cheapest real gps units can. A wahoo can maybe 30% of teh time do it, karoo 2 simply cannot, can this unit?

      @thebumper89 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm confident the S800 will based on my experience with the Bryton 750. The 750 even has voice capability where you can say the address and the computer will generate a route.

      I edited out a section on the route creator feature because it actually is difficult and ultimately of little value to the audience. From memory I think you mentioned you live in Tokyo and have problems with GPS accuracy? What do my tests from Adelaide tell you specifically? No test I can do here will come close to the challenges you'll have in Japanese cities.
      The short version of what I cut was: it'll take you where you ask but not in a way that you'll necessarily enjoy or is the best for cyclists. The most robust systems are still local experts, Google Maps, and Strava's routes built on popularity heatmaps.
