What a wonderful piece! I've looked at examples of woodburning with paint in the past and I just never liked what I saw because the used techniques weren't complementing each other. It became just a painting or a weird combo. I'm surprised there's so little of the watercolor paint needed, I always felt I couldn't get enough on my brush lol. I'm loving the tip for the gloss finish. Oh and I've been watching for a while from the Netherlands.

Watching from Melbourne Australia 🦘 and loving your tutorials. I've been doing pyrography for quite a few years now, but there is always something to learn. I have been adding colour for awhile now and find acrylics easy to use. Generally I add resin over the top for protection, as I found varnish was still easy to damage. A little more work, but worth the effort.

My beard constantly smells like smoke, and I quit cigrets years ago. I almost shaved off months of beard growth, because I kept getting random whiffs of burnt stuff.
I have just been using regular old Crayola colored pencils. They work surprisingly well, but I gotta get me some of those water colors. The color looks so rich, vibrant, succulent, brilliant, etc. Better than my friggin Crayolas anyway.
Have you done any wood burnings of the negative spaces? Basically, instead of burning the lines, burn the background & around the lines. It looks so cool.

You could literally get a fan, filter, pen, pc power supply, couple of simple electronics parts, plus add in some led lighting, all controlled from one unit for less than the cost of just their filter! I may have to do it and I'll put up a tutorial 😊

Is the fan very quiet? Or was the microphone far that it did not pick it up. I have a small one with a filter, no box like yours, but it’s very loud

Will wipe on polyurethane work for the finish? I just did my first watercolor piece, worried I'm going to mess it up with wipe on poly.

This one isn't suited for that. You would need a bigger unit for that.

Tip for spraying: keep your arm straight. Try not to spray in a u shape by starting high and coming in low on the art. It puddles and causes drips.
