Thank you, I always enjoy and learn from your videos. You have excellent teaching skills. I bought some colored wax to experiment with on wood carvings. Haven’t had chance to try it yet. Working on other projects. Would love to see a video on using it. Jupiter, Florida.
Great video, I'm going to get the smoke extractor. Just starting Pyrography art, question...Why do you use watercolor instead of acrylic water-based paint? Thanks and God bless.
Great video thanks , I have been woodburning off and on for over 70 years. Recently retired from businesses and I am now intending to take up my hobby again. I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn new skills. Watching from Matamata in New Zealand.
Has anyone ever mentioned you are such an AMAZING!!! instructor. 👏 My first time watching your video I just started woodburning and I would love to do and learn more as I go. Thank you so much for your videos. 😍👍🏻
I really enjoy and appreciate your video tutorials. I just purchased a wood burner and I am even more excited to get started burning now. Watching from Central PA, but winter in Indian Rocks Beach.
I enjoyed this tutorial, thanks for sharing your talent. I've wanted to learn how to do this for awhile but wondered about the smoke. I already paint, so I was really glad you showed how to use watercolors to add color to the design. Hope to see some more of your work.
Watching from Florida:) I've been wanting to get into wood burning and this was one of the first that I've watched. This was fantastic and I hope you continue to upload more like this! Thank you so much!!
Hello. I'm from Wa. State. New to wood burning\ carving. I came across your videos. They are very simple and easy to follow. Making watching enjoyable and informative. Thank you so much for the relaxed atmosphere you provide with this art. Some artists make the work seem impossible but you don't. I feel I'm going to get a lot out of watching your work.
Watching from Melbourne Australia 🦘 and loving your tutorials. I've been doing pyrography for quite a few years now, but there is always something to learn. I have been adding colour for awhile now and find acrylics easy to use. Generally I add resin over the top for protection, as I found varnish was still easy to damage. A little more work, but worth the effort.
@@CorneliusCreations hey, I am using wood burning to enhance some of my whittling. I am also going to burn some deck planking on a wooden ship model. Also planning on trying some Celtic knots. I have a dremel as well but haven’t used it to much yet
Greatings from Southern Idaho Matt! Thank you for both the coloring tips; I've been wondering how to do that. But I am extremely grateful for the review of the smoke extractor hood. It is exactly what I've been looking for! Burn on mister! 😁😁😁
Bones & AnneMarie from SW Florida "The Slow Coast". Really enjoy the videos. We both dabble in wood burning/power carving while I also do glass etching, leather craft and knife smithing and she is into hand carving and tie dye. Thanks for sharing. Wishing health and happiness for you and yours.

Love your videos and tutorials. Thank you! I am new to your channel and found it looking for pumpkin carving tutorials to do with my kids who are 9, 11, & 18. Saw your video title of pumpkin carving with a Dremel and thought... "Hey I have one of those!" lol So glad I watched it and learned a lot! Then started watching other videos on your channel and realized you do wood burning and I bought a wood burning kit a couple years ago and never even opened it! I was too intimidated to try it! So I now feel a bit more confident and will start small and watch your channel for tips and tutorials! Again thank you for taking the time to share your gifts and talents with us all and filming these videos because I can only imagine the time you put into put them out for us all to watch! Happy Halloween!!!!!
I loved the butterfly box ..... I never tried using watercolor I'm going to have to try that it look very pretty. I used acrylic paint before. I'm from Ironton, Oh.
What a wonderful piece! I've looked at examples of woodburning with paint in the past and I just never liked what I saw because the used techniques weren't complementing each other. It became just a painting or a weird combo. I'm surprised there's so little of the watercolor paint needed, I always felt I couldn't get enough on my brush lol. I'm loving the tip for the gloss finish. Oh and I've been watching for a while from the Netherlands.
Hey Stafania! Thank you for your comment! Yeah, just a little paint is needed. I was inspired from a few friends on Instagram to try the color. Cheers!
I do a lot of Pyrography and usually use a little desk fan...when I remember to grab it lol I do my burnings inside my house and it's just me so I don't get any complaints about the smoke😂 Love your videos and I am my worst critic when it comes to my artwork 😁

I love the colors you did the butterfly. It's a very eye catching piece. I know this doesn't have anything to do with the work you did but I have to comment on the vibrancy you achieved with the Hobby Lobby student grade Masters touch water color. I wonder how long the vibrancy will last with the finish coat. If its lasting its a huge savings!!! Thanks for the time you took to do this video. 🎉
Hell yeah, dude. I use an extractor fan that I made out of some 9 volt PC fans and cooker hood filters, they're great for soldering too. Gets all those nasty fumes out of the way 👍
