Hi Dirk, first off, thank you for the shout out. Very nice of you. Second, you are producing wonderfully informative videos! I love how you are incorporating some humor into your videos. The subject of the best burner is one that I get asked often too. I wasn't willing to buy all the brands to test them out. You presented great information.
Thank you, Brenda! 🔥🔥🔥 That means a lot coming from you. I very much appreciate the encouragement. You've been a great source for help and inspiration for me over the years.
It's refreshing to hear a pro who doesn't proceed to tell you exactly what to do/buy/etc. You validated what I suspected. Wattage ratings are a sham, since the tip will only pull what it needs from the transformer--usually around 40 watts if I'm not mistaken. Thanks for the validation!
I use a Optima 1 Dual Burner. Before that was a Walnut Hallow. I agree you can do great work with most burners. Work on the basics and go from there. Great video.
I am testing the wter and found a burner for $ 26.00 to try and transfer some of photography prints. So I want to thank you your input. Iy's kind of like my first camera (film). So once again, THANK YOU!
Assuming you have a decent transformer, would I be correct assuming tips are more important? I suspect their composition and construction would determine how fast they heat up, but just a importantly how well they hold heat. Do you have a video on the difference in pen/tip brands?
Hi I am new to pyrography and have a question 😊 have you tried a photo transfer background on wood which you phyrographed on? I am wondering if this can be done? Thanks
