Realistically, I know that Dream most likely killed Tommy to bring him back and prove to him the book is real, but emotionally? I am in so much pain
Except Dreams wording on the fact that "I will never use the book for You or any of your friends unless I'm let free" makes it seem like he won't use it until they release Dream from the Vault

@@ZephyrBun another theory is that dream will refuse to revive Tommy because during their last argument Dream realizes he can’t control/manipulate Tommy anymore, which is why he decided to just kill him in that last moment

@@crossedsalt I think he's still going to revive Tommy, because like he said, he needs Tommy in order to induce attachment so he can control the rest of the server. Without Tommy, that attachment might slowly fizzle out, and then where would Dream be?
BUT... Dream can choose where he wants to revive Tommy. I've got my bets on it being somewhere VERY VERY NOT OK.
I think people miss the fact that Tommy has had one canon life for most of the server, as he lost both in the L’manburg war

Oddly enough, during the explosions, I imagined Dream with his arms crossed, look up at the roof with a slight confused look on his face like. "Hmm...wonder what happened."
Wasn't George trying to explode the room open or something? Either way, it was probably a curious but not so bad surprise for Dream.

The sadness was actually ruined for me when I heard Tommy wrote this for his character, I think realizing they make their characters go through this gives everything a new perspective.

This had to have been setting off all of his triggers, man...
Literally. The obsidian from the final control room, his claustrophobia, the lava from exile, explosions from like....every traumatic event he's gone through, not to mention the close proximity to dream who was the cause of basically everything he's gone through

I love how you don’t edit out the weird things Tommy says, but instead keep the whole audio clip to make it sound more in character and natural!
It's so crazy how the events leading up to tommy's death were so humane. He died in the most brutal way, being beat to death by the same person who caused him the most pain. It's obvious that Dream is going to manipulate Sam into letting him revive Tommy, then escape. Sucks how Dream is going to most likely toy with Sam's emotions like this. Well done animatic, as always!

The way you describe the character of Dream is terrifying. The way he can twist his head, as if to say that
1) He finds all outcomes to everything (the way the head moves) and
2) that he’s always there. The way you can remember that “face” is *traumatic*. The trauma Tommy has? Same trauma you’ll have with that face. And the glitch proves it. You can see the way he is human he has his anger, but his smug persona can show that he’s always collected. Shame he burst in the final day that Tommy was gonna get out.
Guess he was never meant to be...
The moment that Tommy was telling Dream to fuck up, it's was incredible. You could see the deception in Dream eye. It's was truly good.
I like how there's a bit where dreamswitchs to his human form to try and seem sympathetic and stuff to tommy but it early doesn't work cuz tommy is done with his bs so he shifts back to the blob thing. Just the attention to detail is immaculate as always omg!
The fact that Dream is in his manipulative form (circle head) instead of real form (actually human) and it changes for a second when Dream is trying to be nice to Tommy or try and convince him that, just 👌😌🤌 animatic

Theory:
So, since Sam could hear the egg but Tommy couldn't, it could be something like that. Sam can be manipulated, but Tommy can't by Dream. This would mean Dream would try to use Sam to fail the security and then once he couldn't use Tommy anymore he just got revenge and killed him.
In addition, if you believe in the headcanon that Dream is an immortal that needs chaos to survive, this would mean he didn't use Sam to escape and instead used him to steal Micheal from Ranboo and Tubbo. Then, he used Ranboo to make him super angry and want to start a war?
(I haven't watched much on this situation so chances are they made up)
Ah, so when dream is trying to show emotion like happiness or anger he has his face but other wise he has a floating circle head (thats what I got out of watching your animatics)

The way you draw expressions gets me every time, the emotion feels so raw and genuine in them
The switching between the sort of human Dream form and the mask form (I'm gonna call it that) really sticks out to me for some reason. Also the Ranboo at the end, oooooo, that sent shivers down my spine. Gorgeous

People take the death lightly since it was a potato, though, it’s actually such a gruesome death, something straight out of a horror film since tommy technically died by being beaten to death, his final words screaming for dream to stop.
You leave the tommy with dream and the next time you see him, his head is smashed into the wall, and dream just continues on his daily life in the prison, as the lifeless body just lays there. It’s like leaving a bunny in a lion’s den, only leads to a horrid end.
Edit thought: Fr, like, his death is the exact opposite of Wilber’s. Wilber asked a loved one to kill him, as he accepted death and wasn’t afraid of it, last words being “do it”. Whoever more, Tommy begged his tormenter to stop, as he wasn’t ready for death, he had a future he wanted to experience, last words being, “stop it!”
Wilber died in peace and was killed by someone he treasures deeply.
Tommy died in agony and sorrow and was killed by the person he hates the most.

This was so well put together! I loved the little details, and when c!Dream became more human for a split second when he was offering for them to break out together? Chills.

My theory is that the revive book actually does exist and Dream will revive Tommy just to prove his point that he has ultimate power over Tommy and the SMP
