honestly, tommy does SUCH a good job at playing his character, even the small little things. after being in the literal void for months, the way he reacted to normal overworld stimuli is perfect and super realistic! he jumps at all the sounds, he feels pain to an extreme degree- he even does this thing where he gets disorientated for a moment and almost walks into the lava before dream warns him. and then after dream warns him, tommy walks next to the lava as if he's feeling along the heat of it. that's SUCH a cool attention to detail! i love that, man!
All the little details from the movements to the shaky breathing is just so well dome and just adds on to all of the feelings and emotions the writing and brings it back to life no I don't regret my wording in still in denial But it just adds so much!!! I know so many people sleep on Tommy's acting bc his character is so - for the lack of a better word - *odd*. Like, yea, most of the things that people like ranboo would say out loud are just really subtle things in his streams, like the therapuffy appointment for example, but i think that's rely nice? The more you think about it and rewatch the streams, the more details you catch

Tubbo just grew corrupt and developed a bloodlust and... let's be honest, Tommy could never be in charge. Schlatt was an evil dictator, Niki feels like she's losing her mind all the time, Fundy's unhinged, Jack Manifold is a greedy businessman and Ranboo is unwillingly working for Dream. Nobody other than Wilbur could ever have led the nation, and he had lost his mind at the end too. He saw that there was no way the country could ever live on, so he did the only thing that there was left to do. End the country. And it should've ended there. But instead it went on, to cause more pain and blood and grief for everyone involved, twisting Tubbo, hurting everyone within and without, and leading to a world where Dream could finally carry out the last of his plans to control everything. Now, obviously he failed in the end, but there's still a chance for him, we know there's a 99% chance of him escaping. So yeah. In the short term, it seems harsh, but it was much more justified than when Techno did it, and I still stand by the fact that him destroying the _country,_ at the very least, was justified, even if it hurt individuals more than seems fair. And honestly, he knew that he had still hurt individuals, and that he needed to repent. So he gave Phil his sword and you know the rest.

I just gotta say that's Tommy's portrayal of a traumatised character is so good. The way he responds to his abuser (Dream) putting him through all this trauma over again really captures the idea of a severely damaged person. The way he responds after Dream "pinches" him "No don't do that ever again not you not here" Is a perfect example of a trauma response to abuse. I've studied the ins and outs of PTSD and C-PTSD because I want to understand my condition, and I've gotta applaud this acting, whoever is writing this characters is doing one hell of a good job. Also Dreams character, I absolutely love him. He's a truly awful person but he's written so well. Dream fills the role of his character perfectly, the manipulation, the god complex, the lack of empathy, the lust for power, another actor that I applaud. That was my rant as a nerdy drama kid with C-PTSD. 10/10 acting lads :)
and he also kept asking him to pinch him again because he couldn't believe the reality that'd he been brought back to and I've seen and I myself have experienced that many abuse victims often go back to and feel like they deserve the abuse they suffered. he was also ver uncertain of himself and very scattered which is also very common. it seems they've done their research. aswell as tommy's learned helplessness.
This is reminding me of part of Theseus' story because everyone thinks Tommy's still dead. After Theseus (Tommy) killed the minotaur (Dream but in this case he trapped him instead) he returns home on his ship. The king, who Theseus sees as a father figure, told him that if he was successful in killing the minotaur, he should raise the white sails on the ship. Should Theseus fail and die, the sails will remain black. Theseus, too excited after his victory, forgot to change the sails. When his ship came into view of the people on the harbour, the king saw that the sails were still black. Thinking that the person he thought of as a son was dead, the distraught king threw himself off the harbour and died. I'm kinda worried that Tommy is gonna forget to raise the white sails and someone's gonna die out of their grief. I think that person is either gonna be Sam or Tubbo. Most probably Tubbo because he only has one life left.
Theory: Wilbur was the traitor before and I feel he will do so again. Remember Wilbur said right after the events of the finale of the disc war Wilbur said he didn’t want to come back. I feel like he is gonna play it cool and probably sacrifice himself to kill dream once and for all. This would make sense since he clearly stated he doesn’t want to come back and probably wants to correct that wrong he did.

There probably wasn't as many weird sounds (from the Guardians), Dream wasn't there, there was no lava or obsidian and he spent what felt like two months (I think) in there, most likely just talking with Wilbur. Meanwhile, he spent about a week in the cell with Dream, so I think at that point the void, afterlife, or whatever, would be more familiar to him than the prison. That's just my 'theory' though.
I would just like to point out how awesome Tommy is. His acting is so good, he puts so much effort in writing a believable character and how he portraits this whole trauma thing is really accurate and you can tell how much time he spend on it. I love watching his story and his character develop. Tommy, you're awesome.
I think we should take a second to really appreciate Tommy's acting, I know it's probably not the best but he's not a professional, but he's played his role so well and has perfectly executed his role and purpose. The way he reacted to the situation and the way he acts towards dream is so good.

I just gotta say that's Tommy's portrayal of a traumatised character is so good. The way he responds to his abuser (Dream) putting him through all this trauma over again really captures the idea of a severely damaged person. The way he responds after Dream "pinches" him "No don't do that ever again not you not here" Is a perfect example of a trauma response to abuse. I've studied the ins and outs of PTSD and C-PTSD because I want to understand my condition, and I've gotta applaud this acting, whoever is writing this characters is doing one hell of a good job.
Also Dreams character, I absolutely love him. He's a truly awful person but he's written so well. Dream fills the role of his character perfectly, the manipulation, the god complex, the lack of empathy, the lust for power, another actor that I applaud.
That was my rant as a nerdy drama kid with C-PTSD. 10/10 acting lads :)

This is reminding me of part of Theseus' story because everyone thinks Tommy's still dead. After Theseus (Tommy) killed the minotaur (Dream but in this case he trapped him instead) he returns home on his ship. The king, who Theseus sees as a father figure, told him that if he was successful in killing the minotaur, he should raise the white sails on the ship. Should Theseus fail and die, the sails will remain black. Theseus, too excited after his victory, forgot to change the sails. When his ship came into view of the people on the harbour, the king saw that the sails were still black. Thinking that the person he thought of as a son was dead, the distraught king threw himself off the harbour and died. I'm kinda worried that Tommy is gonna forget to raise the white sails and someone's gonna die out of their grief. I think that person is either gonna be Sam or Tubbo. Most probably Tubbo because he only has one life left.

There probably wasn't as many weird sounds (from the Guardians), Dream wasn't there, there was no lava or obsidian and he spent what felt like two months (I think) in there, most likely just talking with Wilbur. Meanwhile, he spent about a week in the cell with Dream, so I think at that point the void, afterlife, or whatever, would be more familiar to him than the prison. That's just my 'theory' though.

I would just like to point out how awesome Tommy is. His acting is so good, he puts so much effort in writing a believable character and how he portraits this whole trauma thing is really accurate and you can tell how much time he spend on it. I love watching his story and his character develop. Tommy, you're awesome.
I think we should take a second to really appreciate Tommy's acting, I know it's probably not the best but he's not a professional, but he's played his role so well and has perfectly executed his role and purpose. The way he reacted to the situation and the way he acts towards dream is so good.
