This S10 series is just a waste of time, Samsung should have just waited, like they did before. 18 months is great, should've been even 24 months-cycle.
@@luigibru8677 Because in 18 months you could barely see the differences, but they were still there. Now, it goes worse with 15 months, shows the trend of going down to even 12 months. It's so wrong. Tablets can't change much, it's a freaking tablet. It's better to update the accessories or make some good sales. But a greedy company will choose that path.
If they had money problems, they should've skip the galaxy tab s10 models this year and work on the galaxy tab s11 models for next year with snapdragon X Elite or snapdragon 8 gen 5.
When the next gen of tablets comes out next year. The gen 4 or 9400 will be a year old. The next gen of chipsets will be available. I wished Samsung would have waited 2-3 months and release the tab s10 series with the Dimensity 9400.
@@Tkz9000 Thats what i'm saying, they will get 8 Elite / Gen 4 or 9400/9400+ like this year, cpu's already proved at the top but almost at the end of the cycle. They could not have waited more and released with new Cpu's just the price would be a problem for everyone
@@Joaaaaaaaaaaa No,what your saying is next years tablet will have the gen4 or 9400. It will be the same issue again. What I am saying is Samsung should use the latest chipsets on their tablets even if they have to delay the release. You have oneplus with their latest tablet using the snapdragon gen 3 chipset for 450-600 dollars. Even though they are using an older chipset, the price can't be beat for what oneplus is offering. The pricing isn't much of an issue IMO. Releasing a new tablet with an old chipset is a mistake by Samsung. There are people who are turned off at this tablet because Samsung went with mediatek. I personally see nothing wrong as the dimensity has proven to compete with apples bionic and snapdragon. If Samsung used the 9400 it would be a more convincing to the critics into upgrading. Theres also the ipads with their m series chips which spanks the 9300+ and gen 3 in overall performance costing nearly the same as Samsung. Dimensity 9400 would compete with the m series by apple. I see no point in upgrading to the tab s10 and I'll keep what I got. I wouldn't be surprised if sales were as bad as the fold 6.
@@Tkz9000 I see what you mean but its not possible unless yeah they wait more which is not possible, they have to release the products at a precise schedule. The 8 Gen 3 and 9300+ gpu wise can compete with Apple M2, but games on Android are so poorly optimised they often run way lower res than on even old iphones with A13/A14 chips. My brother actualy bought an One plus pad 2 and its amazing ! I myself am looking to buy the Honor with 8s Gen 3 and that amazing Oled screen + 8 speakers combo for less than half of just the S10+ not even ultra. Samsung is and was always overpriced on the tab market, back then there wasnt such competition though it was "Normal" for Apple and Samsung to put insane prices
I think the Dimensity 9300+ is a fantastic chip. My only problem with the choice is that the 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or 8 Elite, whatever it'll be called, are about to be unveiled, and Samsung is charging full flagship pricing as if the chip is new. I'm not sure how true this is but i remember reading somewhere that Samsung saved 30% building the S10 series compared to the S9 series, yet isn't passing on the savings.
Of course they're not. They'd rather pocket it. Bad enough they fell 900 mil short of their profit projections. But maybe had they not copied Apple so much this year they would have hit those marks.
@@KCScorpion34 imagine if they actually kept features, and didn't remove the micro SD slot, headphone jack, charger in the box, and actually tried innovating. They see Apple playing it safe while milking and diming their customers and think they should do the same. It's annoying.
Samsung leadership did apologize in their Q3 earnings to their customers for lack of innovation and not meeting customers expectations. As much as Samsung wants to copy Apple, it can't. Consumers have options with Android. There's Google, Oneplus, Sony, and many other options. For IOS there's only Apple.
Hopefully enough people complain so samsung might offer free chip upgrades 🫠🫠 I bought the s10 plus bc i never owned a tablet, after all this research alot of people seem to not like it
Exactly!!! The 9400 would at least convince even the critics to buy, upgrade to the tab s10. Another mistake is Samsung getting rid of the smaller base model, IMO.
They can't do the required testing and refining with MTK 9400.. unless they postponed release. Which they could've honestly.. like just drop them with S25
You're missing the point. Nobody cares if Mediatec is a little faster. Tab S devices used to have 18 month generation cycle, so Tab S10 was expected in 2/2025 and for sure with the next generation SoC. SD 8 Gen 4 will launch in a few days!! The decision of Samsung to bring Tab S10 now is the most idiotic decision in a long run of idiotic decisions about SoCs. I really hope TabS10 series will be a big fail so that Samsung will learn. High end price for last year generation SoC shouldn't work.
Actually the average person isn't stupid anymore, they want to know what theyre buying these days. Pretty displays are awesome but they want to know what they can do with it. Meditek ain't competing with Apple IPad M chips, Snapdragon is. We wanted Snapdragon Gen 4 for Galaxy and was expecting it with the S25 but they broke their 18 month cycle since Meditek gave them a deal they couldn't refuse. Cheap bastards to say the least to gain a quick profit. I will assure mark my words, about to see some crazy disocunts on this. Keep in mind Z Fold 6 sales ain't hitting since they want to keep that same Battery, Camera, under the display camera etc. Like just new design and chip. @@ItsFreakinJesus
He is defending Samsung as the channel is affiliated. I agree with you, and I understand why Samsung released early and with a minor useless upgrade; it is that they cannot be seen as cost-cutting with an old chip when the SD8G4 is in other devices. Average users won't care, but techies will know that they are paying £1200 for an older-gen chip and feel a bit robbed, especially when Apple is releasing a desktop M4 chip even before Macs get them. This disparity is shocking, and Samsung knows it, so it has rushed the release.
Your points are valid *IF* this device were released earlier this year, but being released so close to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 that will DEFINITELY spank this in performance and not having a price decrease for the cheaper chip is dumb.. Who wants to buy this when? The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be coming in just a few months and will outperform this "flagship" tablet by likely a large margin. They probably wouldn't do it if they actually had any competition in the tablet market..
My main issue is that 9300+ isnt a bad chip it appears to achieve nice gains. The issue is why not wait a few months and give us the newest chip available with new tangible improvements. It feels like s tablets r always on the last leg. Why would i want to spend apple pro prices for something that feels more like a tab s9.5 and not a true tab s10. Look at ipad pro it has the latest and great chip available the m4 chip
I recently got the Tab S9 Ultra, so I've decided to wait for the Tab S11 Ultra before trading in. I'm excited about the new chipsets coming out and what might be in future devices.
Samsung made a stupid reckless decision here if they launched the Tab S10 line-up alongside the S25 series, it wouldve been a total sucess as long as theyre powered by the new Snapdragon chip or at least having the 8 gen 4 for the 11 inch model and then the Sd X Pro and X Elite for the Plus and Ultra variants. That would've crushed Apple so badly, but they screwed it up again...
I owned a Samsung original first generation tab S this year i realy wanted a new one, and the only way i can buy one is to pay some money every month, i was going to order the Samsung tab s 9 ultra, but then the s 10 ultra caame the same day i was ordering, and i got the 5g version with a free keybord, to me its soooo cool, i dont do benchmarks and things, i can do everything i want to do, even play Second life, so for me it was no dealbreaker with the new processor... if i have had the s 9 ultra from before, it would have been something else. Best regards from Norway
Samsung also saves money from a licensing standpoint (while maintaining higher profit margins) by going with a MediaTek vs. a Qualcomm chip (which I am sure was a HUGE factor in their decision)
I heard whole samsung team is working on a new big project that's why they are not putting any new things in other launches. They are going to launch a rollable phone in 2025 as per insiders leaks
Good you shouldn't upgrade anyways! You have a S9+. Use it! This wasteful consumerism of having to own the latest toy is harming our planet and many people. Learn to appreciate the shit you have ffs.
I dunno, it's one thing that it's better than 8 Gen 3 but we need to see 8 Gen 4 which I'm sure is where most of our disappointment comes. Emulation especially is a concern since Snapdragon has favour there. I'll stick to my S8+ for awhile longer. Hopefully next year we're back on Snapdragon with some extra goodies but I can hopefully last until S12.
Hey mate, is the glass on the s10 ultra easy to scratch if im using it around the house it gets a little grit in the case closing pad on the screen, or daily use and what not and rubs up on the table face down? That's the biggest question, honestly.
The jump from S8 to S9 was fantastic, almost as though Snap is just superior in every single way. I dont understand how you can support a really pathetic jump in strength? Do you not want to be genuine with fans over being a sponsor for Samsung? The trash that is AI, especially in tech that is running an application AI, is not a reason to by the S10. Being 1% quicker does not excuse the price. MediaTek will throttle. It wont last. It's cheaper. It isnt anywhere near as efficient. Nobody likes this move by Samsung, not at all.
This comment is a great example of someone who is misguided by marketing thinking mediately = bad. You don't know what you're talking about about. Probably the same type of people that think Tensor G4 is bad when this showing to be an excellent SoC.
this is devastating news given that early benchmarks of the next Snapdragon chip show that the gap in performance between it and Apple is entirely closed for the first time in decades. So it's now possible to have an android tablet more powerful than the best ipad pro, but not if Samsung cheaps out on the chip.
Have you seen any visible advantages on the screen with that non-reflection coating? Honestly I was expecting a 4K resolution as a step forward by the display. Unfortunately it stayed the same since the S8Ultra.
Such a waste, give that a gen 4 snapdragon, cut cost on that ultrawide anyone uses and make the experience with the keyboard better just like huawei did and bam It would be a really good product
The issue is nor that the Mediatek is not faster than 8 gen 2, it is. The issue is that is that 9400 and 8 gen 4 are around the corner and Samsung didn't wait for them, in order to save costs, but did not transfer the lower costs (rumors say 30%) to the users. So no wonder it does not go down well with people... It's a shame because the antireflective screen and the 7 years updates are great news but a 9400 or even better the 8 gen 4 (which is uses the same cores are the X Elite) would be in better shape at the end of those 7 years and beyond (given that RAM is enough and battery health can be protected)
Yo, that's a total fail. They've been using the same design for three generations now, which means they're saving on production costs and using the same old camera components. And now they've messed up the chip, which was the only thing that made Samsung tablets worth buying. They did the same thing with the Fold 6, and surprise, surprise, sales are already in the toilet. Maybe they'll learn something from this.
@@Dumauch yeah but they cheaped out on the LCD-Panel, its not a great one, at least contrast wise. I have the OnePlus Pad and the Pad 2, original Pad is much more colorful, and... doesnt heat up at the LCD connector.
This is all well and good, but those of us who want an 11 inch version are S.O.L. I refuse to be forced into buying a whole different less portable size just because Samsung is too lazy to continue its full range. Samsung has shown contempt for their customers. The s10 is utterly bland and mediocre as an upgrade (just a matte screen and a bunch of AI crap). The dimensity cpu should be compared to *current* ones such as the 8 gen 4 (which is available in phones this month) not a year old cpu. It's no wonder people are wary after the Exynos stunt that Samsung pulled in their phones. They foisted crappy Exynos on Europe claiming it's just as good, but then they used Snapdragon in their flagship phone. They must think we are idiots. That's why people are suspicious about non Snapdragon cpus. Samsung brought this upon themselves. I hope the s10 range fails dismally..Samsung needs to be taught a lesson.
I love your comment. The problem is you want to compare the new chip that hasn’t been released to this chip. That’s already in the S-10 Snapdragon elite compared itself to apples, older chip if you’re gonna play fair play fair. It can’t be one way for one chip and a different way for another chip that you gotta take into account Apple didn’t just get a great chipset right off the bat it was it iterated over time. There’s a lot of misspells and grandma Eris, but let’s blame that on the Apple iPad. I’m using talk to text still can’t get it right Brand new chipset same old trash. I left the errors to prove my stand point.
Funny when samsung should consider bump up to x elite level of chipsets, they decided to give up ( like on all products this year, fold6, buds pro, watches etcm.. they just dont give a shit anymore )
I was at a point where I needed to upgrade my laptop. It died a horrible death... it was Windows. Anyways, I'm already invested in the Samsung ecosystem with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. It made sense to look at Samsung Tablets. I decided to purchase the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra with all the trimmings (Bookcover Keyboard Slim and 1 TB Upgrade). PLUS I was able to secure a great deal from Samsung and received a military discount, reduced price and a $300 trade-in for an Amazon Fire H8. I will be getting the Tab S10 Ultra in a few days. Thanks for your reviews. Subbed! Happy Holidays!
@SamMobileTV I really appreciate this review. Unfortunately, I've seen many comments criticizing Samsung's decision to change things up this year. What I’ve realized, though, is that markets outside the usual, like Asia (where I’m from), do exist, and MediaTek has been dominating flagship devices here. It ultimately comes down to branding. If manufacturers don't explore different SoCs, it won’t drive the kind of innovation we're seeing. I won't fault Samsung for choosing the 9300+ either, especially since the 9400 and 8 Gen 4 were barely announced in October 2024. Change is good, and I’m actually glad Samsung tried something different.
What sucks is that the snapdragon 8 gen 4 "made for samsung " is just like 3 months out. Samsung SHOULD HAVE WAITED FOR THAT. And ya know what? There are even leaks of the mediatek dimensity 9400.... And it destroys this 9300+ chip......
@@thestreetwisehercules Samsung still could have used the upcoming 9400 as a better alternative. For the price, the IPad Pro with the M4 chip is the better option.
So we're not gonna go into Gaming right? Because we know its not as optimized as Snapdragon. This whole video has been saying Meditek is good but compared previous chip than Z Fold6/Snapdragon Gen 3 chip. Meditek is good but won't compare for best overall from Snapdragon like gaming. We were expecting Snapdragon Gen 4 for Galaxy for the proper 18 month upgrade cycle, now we'll have to wait for Tab S26 Ultra( if they go with that name and continue the 18 months) for us to go back to Snapdragon Gen 5 For Galaxy since sales will speak unless sales are so bad they released Next Ultra tablet early next year. I bought my Tab Ultra as a all-in-one device. Anti-reflective and thinner/lighter device is great upgrades but Snapdragon means no money from me. Ill keep my Tab S9 Ultra and wait. Biggest disappointing device of the year. Also if we want to get technical, Snapdragon Gen 4 being announced this month and release for OnePlus soon would be the fair comparison since Snapdragon Gen 3 is last year chip.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I have a question. Is tab s9 have "8 gen 2 for galaxy" like s23 series ? If answer is no, then I'll go for s10+ absolutely because of better processor. If answer is yes, then I'll go for s9 because of "for galaxy". Thanks for the help 🎉
@@DavidRadkowskiI want to agree but let's look at one thing, Those M chips are crazy af and same power on Macbooks to IPad series minus the different cores. We ain't even on the same level. Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra should've been Snapdragon X Elite chip.

The anti glare coating on s10 ultra is really good. I upgraded from s8 ultra and was a bit 'meh' about s10 at launch but glad i upgraded when deals got better few months after launch. I still wish Samsung had more competition here in UK. Good review!
Looking for a new tablet, currently have a 1st gen ipad pro from 2016. So, I am wondering should I go for a Tab s8 Ultra, S9 plus or pay the premium and get the Tab S10+. Though I don't see the reason to get the tab s10 besides longer support?
I'd skip Samsung and purchase a 6th gen iPad Pro. Samsung tablets are kind of slow. I tried gaming (Call Of Duty Mobile) on the Tab S9 Ultra and it lagged for a sec. The iPad is smoother for sure 3+ hours of gaming.
Hi, I got the S10U and have the m1 iPad Pro, and honestly I prefer the Tab S10U as an average user. Charging is quicker on my experience, the anti reflective and the ip rating sold me. I’m those people who like using some of my tech devices in the shower and it has been surviving my use haha
Hello, a great video, thank you I have a question, I have tablet 6 lite (a bit old) and galaxy book pro360. Tablet is a bit slow now, which drive me crazy, but should I buy tablet 10 or 9 when earlier this year got the book? Thank you ❤
Mininal yearly refresh seems like most companies are doing. To keep price high with minor updates. They can't keep the price high on last year model so they release a refresh with minor update to keep price on top.
For the majority of people, the mediatek is alright. But for power users and people experimenting emulation this has been a HUGE let down as snapdragon processors have custome gou drivers for their SOCs. I bought honor's Magicpad 2 instead. No regrets 👍
Nice, I'm happy to see another first time android tablet comment lol the s10 plus is my first tablet and I love it. These comments though, they make me almost regret my decision but its okay, we get 7 years of software updates
I was expecting a Snapdragon X Elite processor inside the S10 Ultra. When I buy a flagship device, I expect a flagship chip. In the case of a $1200 flagship tablet, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect the Snapdragon X Elite CPU. The fact that they went with a chip priced at roughly HALF the price of an actual flagship chip clearly demonstrates that Samsung attempted to cheap out with a chip that I would expect to find in a mid-tier phone rather than a flagship tablet. Media Tek does not have the reputation of Snapdragon.
While I think this Mediatek chip is good, I still think they should have waited until early next year and use the next gen Mediatek, which already has some impressive leaked benchmark. That newer chip would have made the tablets a lot more future proof.
Tab S10 ultra comes tomorrow, my first tablet since the Kindle HDX 7. I'm sorry everyone has the last gen S9 or S8 ultra and this seems boring but, I am pretty excited myself.
I have the S9 Ultra and my wife has a S7+. Both are amazing and smooth. We may be swapping out my wife S7+ soon. But the S9 Ultra is so amazing, I don't think I me an upgrade yet.
S10 + TAB scores for me 6996 multi core and 2092 Single core. Vulkan GPU 14 179, OpenCL 12 295. I wonder why on the plus model I could not reach the same score as you. Chip is the same heat disapation I assume is not the reason. tablet runs cold in heavy load RAM is 12GB and ROM 512GB. What can be improved to get better test score?
the only reason is that by default OnePlus clocked down the 8 gen 3 in the oneplus pad 2. You can get the true performance in the settings by choosing performance mode
@@_Digitalguy As I am watching all scores of antutu the 9300+ has over 2mil scores mine got only 1.86mil. Cold no app running other than antutu it seems like 9300+ Is no optimized yet for Samsung tab S10+
How do you expect people to compare these speeds properly if you accelarate to 500x until the first one is done, then you turn it off and OBVIUSLY the second one is gonna seem way slower! Also you should write on the screen the time it takes to complete the tasks you tested.
Im stuck. I dont own a tablet, yet. The S9 Ultra is a lot more approachable in price. Is the s10 really worth the extra few hundred? Or would i be better off with snapdragon for design and emulation?
The problem with Mediatek chips are modems. They consume way more power and have weaker reception. This only problem on phones though as on large tablets majority of battery is consumed by screens, they have bigger battery and larger area to put in more antennas. Unless you are very far from router the dimensity/Mediatek is s good choice for tablets.
I hate that no ones is taking about the lack of compatability with graphic drivers on mediatek for emulation on Windows emulation or consoles enulation.
it's the best galaxy tab to date for sure, but not a reason to upgrade coming from maybe an S7 series, for me the best upgrade is the antireflective screen. I hope samsung finally push to compete with the iPad with an X elite chip and a more desktop experience, the s10 series feels more like a experiment with a new SOC which is fine, not a disaster but yeah....
I saw how good is the mediatek processor on the Vivo. Performance, efficiency everything is there and that was the older version. Incredible performance and i think snapdragon needs to step up with the new 8 gen 4 because the gap is small or maybe mediatek is even ahead 😬
There is absolute no reason to upgrade, with marginal perfomance difference and newer chips just over the window ! I'm absolutely happy with my small all time partner Tab S9
But the thing is i don't think apps or games will be as optimized for a mediatek processor as they will be for a snapdragon chip, I could be wrong though
Hey i have a confusion between s9plus and s10 plus .... i never had tablet in my life and been looking for a tab for long term like 5 to 6 years of period .... i dont have problem of budget but my major requirements are studying, some netflix and gaming ..... mostly using tab for notes and reading ..... so which one will be better for me ?
If the price isn't different. I'd go with the 10+. Newer usually better, plus the anti reflection screen is a nice upgrade. Also it'll have Android 14 stock
As you have seen yourself the problem is not mediatek in itself but the lack of optimization for mediatek chip due to an almost non-existent market share If even samsung themselves haven't optimized all of their app yet what are the chances that third-party developer will optimize theirs (unless they enter a partnership with mediatek or samsung directly)? If we talk about exynos they didn't shop around because they want to be free they don't because using their own chips allowed them to have better margins and if their sales hadn't been declined they gladly would have continued that way (in fact they used the snapdragon in America because if they didn't Apple would have wiped the floor with them). Please stop romanticizing companies Samsung in particular has shown time and thine again that they would sell the fristborn of everyone of their employees if this would allow them to be like Apple (As every for profit companies is incentivised to do in a capitalistic system) To be clear I'm writing you this from qn s24 ultra with the galaxy buds 3 in my ears and a samsung watch ob my wrist so I'm definitely not an hater but when you talk about a companies decision you've to be cognizant of the fact that 99,999% of the time there is a financial incentives behind it And the same is true even for all the people that think that samsung should have skipped or postpone this generation that's never going to happen unless there's something really seriously wrong with the product especially not now that financial projections shows decreasing revenue.
It's good news somehow. It's easier on the mind to skip the 10 and replace my 9 with the 11 which probably will be significantly better. Especially if their release timing stays the same. Then it's a 2 gen upgrade on chip.
At the end of the day, the end user won't give 3 flying fųcks about 1800 points more on multi-core in geekbench or about the 3k and 5k points increase in OpenCL and Vulkan APIs score, I edit video on LumaFusion on the Tab S9+ (not the ultra) and its wven better than in my laptop, which will die in less than 2 hours when its not plugged to the power. The Tab S10 lineup is a must skip. If it was for the AI, the Tab S9 series they all got the OneUI 6.1.1 update. Ita not necessary to upgrade. Better wait for the next Tab S11 or S12. Maybe it will be Tab S20, the same as they did with the phones? Who knows, but for many reasons, Snapdragon is still the king, raw performance is meaningless these days, if you dont have optimized software for it!
😅I have no idea what samsung are doing. Red magic nova proves that snapdragon processors can be competitive the same with the one plus tablet! I guess competition is going to be fierce in the future. Tablets are becoming more popular!
The owners of s8 and s9 tablets needn't go for tab s10 series. These are already excellent tablets from every angle. We should wait for tab s11 series with either mediatek 9400 (benchmark value may cross 3 million) or snapdragon 8 gen4. I am definitely going for tab s11 ultra next year😁
I also have the S4 and I'm thinking of changing, but I know that the only thing that really changes is the size of the screen, as Android has evolved very little in the world of tablets. I think I'll go for the iPad Pro this time, as what I like to do most is compose music and Apple's tablet seems to be much more advanced in that sense.
I think samsung knew their own Eynos is like shit and they can't catch up with snapdragon . I believe samsung is testing the water by using Mediatek as they did not want to depend on Snapdragon entirely. Samsung might did a worse call by releasing just few months before the release of snapdragon gen 4 .. but i glad they did .. at least we have a competition of ARM chips between Mediatek and Qualcomm in the future .
I want to buy and now, with student discount, i could buy s10+ for 770€ (512gb 12gb). Is it worth it or not? I wanted to buy the one plus pad 2 (256gb 12gb) that is 470€ but ,in my mind, the samsung will almost least forever (8years?) instead the one plus pad2 i think it will least the half of it... Any suggestion?😅
Don't own a tablet. Should I go for the s9 ultra 512gb, keyboard and memory card or take the s10 ultra for the same price? S10 ultra is 256gb and also a keyboard
This S10 series is just a waste of time, Samsung should have just waited, like they did before. 18 months is great, should've been even 24 months-cycle.

Because in 18 months you could barely see the differences, but they were still there.
Next gen will have 8 Gen 4 or Dimensity 9400 / 9400+.
When the next gen of tablets comes out next year. The gen 4 or 9400 will be a year old. The next gen of chipsets will be available. I wished Samsung would have waited 2-3 months and release the tab s10 series with the Dimensity 9400.

Hopefully enough people complain so samsung might offer free chip upgrades 🫠🫠
I bought the s10 plus bc i never owned a tablet, after all this research alot of people seem to not like it
Wow mediatek can now match the benchmark of the previous generation chip
Didn't he say "huge improvement" when reviewing the benchmark ??? "Hands down better scores"
slow clap for mediatek. they can now match last years chips 😂
Three MediaTek 9300+ and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 LV score about the same in benchmarks
Wait for 9400+, it's gonna blow your Qualcomm A18 Pro Snapdragon elite a$$
Destroyed it 😭😭
The only excuse to use MTK for Tab S10Ultra would be to use latest 9400. Another cost saving and missed opportunity...
Ok back off jerk
The average person won't care or notice. I'm not the average person and I still don't care and wouldn't notice.
Don't cry! Girl!
@@ItsFreakinJesus The average person will care as they are price conscious. They will ask "should i buy the S10 or save money and buy a S9".
The tablet is not competing with the S series
The tablet is competing with the ipads with the M series chips.
As I read this comment the guy in the video said "you can notice a tangible difference"
I just wish small tabs came back. Like a 7 or 8 inch, but with just as powerful specs
The small gain on speed is no reason for me to upgrade from the S9+ to the S10+
I heard whole samsung team is working on a new big project that's why they are not putting any new things in other launches. They are going to launch a rollable phone in 2025 as per insiders leaks
No one says that you should upgrade to a S10+.
@@guitarmyheartsbeatthat's not how product development works
Good you shouldn't upgrade anyways! You have a S9+. Use it! This wasteful consumerism of having to own the latest toy is harming our planet and many people. Learn to appreciate the shit you have ffs.
Let's compare this Mediatek 9300+ chip with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in a year and you'll see how Mediatek is getting its ass kicked
This is actually a a very good chip. Snapdragon is overrated. Sorry.
Dude, where did you see 1%???? Take a look at the benchamarcks.... thats not 1%
This comment is a great example of someone who is misguided by marketing thinking mediately = bad. You don't know what you're talking about about. Probably the same type of people that think Tensor G4 is bad when this showing to be an excellent SoC.
Samsung needs to put pressure on Qualcomm and show them they're not afraid to go Mediatek. It's a great move for a healthy market.
We're not fans, we're consumers. The only one putting pressure on you to support this brand exclusively and buy every upgrade, is you.
Bringing out the Tab S10 decreased the price of tab S9 on other platforms, and then ended up making the tab S9 look like the battery buy...
Even on their official apps as well
Just buy the S9 Ultra with a matte screen protector 😮
this is devastating news given that early benchmarks of the next Snapdragon chip show that the gap in performance between it and Apple is entirely closed for the first time in decades. So it's now possible to have an android tablet more powerful than the best ipad pro, but not if Samsung cheaps out on the chip.
Why not at least go with 9400?
Have you seen any visible advantages on the screen with that non-reflection coating? Honestly I was expecting a 4K resolution as a step forward by the display. Unfortunately it stayed the same since the S8Ultra.
Nothing wrong with the 9300 other than snapdragon fan boys making up issues
But how is it on emulations?
Such a waste, give that a gen 4 snapdragon, cut cost on that ultrawide anyone uses and make the experience with the keyboard better just like huawei did and bam
It would be a really good product
Snapdragon chips are very expensive, that's the reason Samsung didn't use it
OnePlus release the tablet this year with the Snapdragon 8 gen 3 and it's about $500
So not using snapdragon chips, s10 ultra should be significantly cheaper.. 🤣
@@MrPoliarinis They're literally the same price comparing last year S9 series price 😂
You've just proved the s9 ultra is the better tablet once you factor in the price difference its a no brainer
I would like the comparison of display quality , video playing especially Thanks❤The 9300 the faster onefor sure.

What about throttling?? Can you make a short on that? Is it better or worse?
Mininal yearly refresh seems like most companies are doing. To keep price high with minor updates. They can't keep the price high on last year model so they release a refresh with minor update to keep price on top.
For the majority of people, the mediatek is alright. But for power users and people experimenting emulation this has been a HUGE let down as snapdragon processors have custome gou drivers for their SOCs. I bought honor's Magicpad 2 instead. No regrets 👍

Why do you regret getting the s10+?
Any reason for NOT testing any games ?????
I was expecting a Snapdragon X Elite processor inside the S10 Ultra. When I buy a flagship device, I expect a flagship chip. In the case of a $1200 flagship tablet, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect the Snapdragon X Elite CPU. The fact that they went with a chip priced at roughly HALF the price of an actual flagship chip clearly demonstrates that Samsung attempted to cheap out with a chip that I would expect to find in a mid-tier phone rather than a flagship tablet. Media Tek does not have the reputation of Snapdragon.
Great comparison review !
Still rocking s7+ 🎉
While I think this Mediatek chip is good, I still think they should have waited until early next year and use the next gen Mediatek, which already has some impressive leaked benchmark. That newer chip would have made the tablets a lot more future proof.

Well, instead of trading my S9 Ultra in for the S10, I just decided to hang on to the S9 Ultra. I've never been a fan of Media Tek chips.
excellent pedagogy thanks. , Relevant choices of tests intelligent analysis 👌 very fair obviously.
As you have seen yourself the problem is not mediatek in itself but the lack of optimization for mediatek chip due to an almost non-existent market share
If even samsung themselves haven't optimized all of their app yet what are the chances that third-party developer will optimize theirs (unless they enter a partnership with mediatek or samsung directly)?
If we talk about exynos they didn't shop around because they want to be free they don't because using their own chips allowed them to have better margins and if their sales hadn't been declined they gladly would have continued that way (in fact they used the snapdragon in America because if they didn't Apple would have wiped the floor with them).
Please stop romanticizing companies
Samsung in particular has shown time and thine again that they would sell the fristborn of everyone of their employees if this would allow them to be like Apple
(As every for profit companies is incentivised to do in a capitalistic system)
To be clear I'm writing you this from qn s24 ultra with the galaxy buds 3 in my ears and a samsung watch ob my wrist so I'm definitely not an hater but when you talk about a companies decision you've to be cognizant of the fact that 99,999% of the time there is a financial incentives behind it
And the same is true even for all the people that think that samsung should have skipped or postpone this generation that's never going to happen unless there's something really seriously wrong with the product especially not now that financial projections shows decreasing revenue.
Only advantage Qualcomm has over Mediatek is their open source nature.... Amd the community really love the open source things (myself included)

I just bought the 10 ultra for $670 with s7 fe trade-in
the only difference between them is the processor
and the anti reflective display, but i personally always use a screen protector so yeah

Look for a secondhand tablet s9 plus.
the difference in reflections alone is worth it.. was able to get a s9 ultra for $670 and a s10 ultra for $860... def returning the s9
MediaTek looks like it doing a good job and all, but lets be honest, those results real-world results are hardly an improvement to right home about.
Upgraded s4 to s10 ultra.. overall only screen I can feel rest nothing changed much..
Why nobody talking about battery life?
Good review thanks
But what about thermals and throttling? That is where mediatek starts failing...
