Got mine back in March. Running the SB A3 brace, trijicon sro and a tirant 45. Y'all need to try out the syntech 150 gr rounds if you have a can by the way. 1000 rounds in and it's one of my favorites.
I installed that same brace yesterday on my SP5 and didn’t need to remove a screw. I basically held the forearm and pushed down. It took a few tries but it worked. Just be patient and keep trying.
Have had mine on order and today is day 31... I already have most accessories.. SB HKPDW collapsable brace, KAC MP5 NAS foreend, olight PL Valkyrie pro 1500 lumens, spuhr top rail and associated Holosun 507c v2 red dot, today I order my Phase 5 single point sling and I have to decide on a good laser.... now all I need are the SP5 and maybe 5 or so extra mags which I will buy as soon as it arrives. I will do an unboxing and dress up when the time comes. So happy and thank you HK
Im kind of bummed that my SP5 didnt come with that bag you have. Came with one but not as nice as that one. Now im excited again because I put money down to get the SP5-PDW. Now to wait until it arrives.
The H buffer is too thick, there's at least one screw you have to remove that holds said buffer because HK put a new bar on the rear of the SP5's receiver that isn't accounted for by SB Tactical, and after all of that the rails or arms or whatever of the brace were still somehow misaligned and when trying to collapse into the receiver they got stuck and put some nice long gouges in the channels on the sides of the SP5's reciever. Alabama Arsenal did an sp5 video that shows the modification to the buffer and the screw he removed. I tried that with no joy. I recommend either the KES by Safety Harbor or even better the aforementioned B&T because both fit fine out of the box and are practically plug and play compared to the SB Tactical. Plus when combined with the gearhead works mod 1C they look closer to an A3 which is what we are all going for. Learn from my mistakes! Both of these options are more expensive but buy once cry once. If you do decide to mess around more with the SB Tactical make sure those arms are aligned properly! Don't force anything!
Not a fan of the trigger on mine. After the "wall" there is a fair amount of mush before the break. I'm shopping for a new trigger pack but of course they are super spendy as well. That being said, I love shooting this thing and is is very accurate and almost no recoil.

Btw, my SP5 came with the pdw brave installed (woo hoo! ), however, when I took it off, I couldn’t put it back on. 😩 You’re picture helped a lot! I looked at mine and could see an indentation on my pdw buffer where the metal lip in the receiver was being forced into the buffer. I decided to see if I could compress the buffer enough to get the holes lines up. I put my pistol barrel end-first on a thick piece of cardboard, put my weight on the cap, was able to get the holes lined up, and hastily pushed in the pin. 😅

Blue Gunner I just installed it and had to cut out some of the lower left buffer and went on perfect but it’s extremely tough sliding it in and out. Don’t know what the issue is but it’s super rough and nowhere near as smooth as yours!
Blue Gunner just the cut out because then the back plate goes on perfectly fine. What I did was remove the back plate and try to see how it would slide without it on the gun and the metal pieces are rubbing up against each other extremely hard and I think that maybe where my issue is coming in

Yup, if you've got your kids college money available, I guess you can spend part of it? Nice, but pricey!!! The highest I've dropped on a firearm is $1200, my Sig M400, not sure I could stomach more than $2k on one firearm.

I run monolithic suppressor merc foregrip ftac collapsible 10mm round mags and stippled grip tape

Why not replace the hex head socket cap screws with flatheads?
I had nothing but problems with the SB Tactical brace. B&T released a brace recently that fits perfectly.

I've got the single rail at the bottom, from HK parts. It slopes up, so how do you get it to angle the same as the barrel??
My brace arrives tomorrow. Its going to have to suffice until my stamp comes in for my B&T UMP side folder.
That brace hangs down so low in the closed position, it looks difficult to hold correctly when closed.

Douglas Frazier for me, the buffer was definitely getting in the way. You can see the mark on the buffer if you try squeezing it into place
