@@NowThatsGreg Didn't the latest EU laws further restrict carbine-like firearms under 60cms in length? And what about magazine limits - isn't pistols 20 rounds whilst rifle is 10?
The stock isn’t a problem... there nothing stopping you from buying a stock and just mating it to the gun. This is just presented this way for the U.S. market were we have official legal designations for “pistol” and “short barreled rifle”. Selling it like this allows we U.S. customers to buy it off the shelf with a background check and not need to submit a form 4 for a Short Barreled Rifle tax stamp to add the stock. It’s a stupid law that’s circumnavigated with our “pistol braces”. Your laws may be totally different. Canada, for instance, has no short barreled rifle designation for firearms with barrel lengths under 16 inches.
I'd also like to know what he meant by that. All gun laws are infringements, so the least the ATF could do is just look the other way when you "accidentally" use a pistol brace the wrong way
CH3FxEXcELL3NcE I assumed that he meant that since everyone shoulders braces anyway that they’d just do away with the stupid laws about no stocks on pistols. Maybe he meant something else though idk.

Customers: "Do you sell shoulder stocks? People would love to buy original parts." HK: "Pfff! Nein! Humbug!" also HK: "I wonder why we don't make enough money and are in debt."
I think it doesn't have a stock because it's classified as a pistol. If it had a stock it would be considered a SBR by American law. At least I'm pretty sure.
Robert Luera which just means tax stamp etc which isn’t that big of a deal just can’t travel out of state with it easily or ‘shoulder brace’ and have none of that

Mostly a rummor started by people who never handled the firearms... And a few UMPs that didn't have the charging handles up to spec when they first shipped.
Wait, you can easily put an M16/M4 lower into a semi-auto AR15 (iv8888 has made an entire video series on this concept). Why is it a problem if HK does it with their SP5 but not a problem for all of the AR15 manufacturers?

I guess I'm too used to my Tippmann A5 paintball gun where the external design was HEAVILY influenced by the mp5, I keep thinking how weird it looks not having a second retaining pin at the top of the back cap.
I have a clone built (by Turner Fabrications) using an original H&K MP5 parts kit. I paid about the same price (back then) that the SP5 is now selling for. Runs like a charm suppressed and it's my "investment" gun. I'm eyeing the SP5K right now. we'll see what happens in 2025.

If you don't mind seeing a grown man wearing boy shorts, I believe TFB just made a video: th-cam.com/video/6-1a1pr54s0/w-d-xo.html
Customers: "Do you sell shoulder stocks? People would love to buy original parts."
HK: "Pfff! Nein! Humbug!"
also HK: "I wonder why we don't make enough money and are in debt."
I think it doesn't have a stock because it's classified as a pistol. If it had a stock it would be considered a SBR by American law. At least I'm pretty sure.
@@robertluera6 that's when you buy a " shoulder brace".
Robert Luera which just means tax stamp etc which isn’t that big of a deal just can’t travel out of state with it easily or ‘shoulder brace’ and have none of that
The reason is good old german gun laws, it's a while thing
Very cool, You were local as well. Virginia welcomes you.
"Shoulder" brace LOL!
Is he saying he wants pistol braces banned?
@@ndeepowder He's saying he wants the NFA repealed
If we get 5 more years of TrumpyBear that just might be a possibility.
@@ndeepowder i kinda doubt it. Trump doesnt seem to care about guns much either way. Though if someone slides a repeal bill in front of him and says it would make bloomberg furious he might go for it
@@dave34988 Get Sean Hannity to say it. The Donald loves to watch Hannity or Judge Janine Pirro.
The HK webstore has the genuine MP5 stock available! The stars are aligning.
If you've never shot an MP-5 you don't know what you're missing.
Thank you , Ian .
CIP is just some European proofing. "Commission internationale permanente pour l'épreuve des armes à feu portatives" and the SP5 got proofed for ordinary use ("N").
I have these markings on all of my guns as an owner in France because it's mandatory here.
Yorihime I think the “N” stands for nitrocellulose proofed, so basically okay with modern smokeless powders.
good luck trying to find one. They are selling around $5,000 on Gun-Trader auction. Good jog H&K. Produce them in small numbers so we all fight for them. Bravo, great business practice.
I see's it, I want's it, I's gotta get's it, I's gonna get's it
Love that sp5! Can’t wait till armorers class tomorrow!!
It’s simple I see forgotten weapons I click
Thanks for explaining roller delay.
sometimes I can't watch the videos all the way through. simply because I want one so bad, I get frustrated because I can't afford them. But I always click a thumbs up even before I watch. never have I found anything you've done deserving of a "dislike"
as of 2023 the aperture sights come stock on the SP5
"Yippee-ki-yay, mo**********!"
Paul Castro lmao! Right!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
I love both of there designs for those H&K guns
"HK slap damages the gun."
That's the first time I heard that. How can anyone so gullible and worried still have the confidence to actually fire a gun?
Mostly a rummor started by people who never handled the firearms... And a few UMPs that didn't have the charging handles up to spec when they first shipped.
My guess is that it could also be an Airsoft thing.
Probably the same people that tell you not to dry fire any gun.

Not to forget:
Never EVER press the slide release on a pistol.
@Dane Chauvin The slap method is in the MP5 manual as the only method for charging the firearm. Its not an issue.
Ian, Rock Island Auction and HK is my favourite love triangle.
Wait, you can easily put an M16/M4 lower into a semi-auto AR15 (iv8888 has made an entire video series on this concept). Why is it a problem if HK does it with their SP5 but not a problem for all of the AR15 manufacturers?
Hearing the description of the early days of the MP5K reminds me how old I am...it only seems yesterday.
thought this was AMMU-NATION!
Yes, but my MP5 i took in 2000 in a Black Mesa Research Facility
@@George_Doc spas-12 was my jam!
@@George_Doc I also found a Python and a Desert Eagle there too, with a laser pointer too nonetheless
Sa and VC nostalgia intensifies
'AMMU-NATION' has to be one of the greatest recurring video game assets ever - and, I can only imagine how much the rest of the world thinks that US firearms sales work EXACTLY like that LOL
[...don't we wish...]
"...I'll take 5 molotovs, 2 vests, 1 of those sawed-offs... ...oh yea, and those cheap sunglasses"
I guess I'm too used to my Tippmann A5 paintball gun where the external design was HEAVILY influenced by the mp5, I keep thinking how weird it looks not having a second retaining pin at the top of the back cap.
This makes me want to watch Die Hard again!
Would be very interesting to see how it compares to the PTR clone or the yet to be released PSA clone. Would have loved to see them come out with optics ready rail similar to the SP5K.
4yrs later and I still haven’t seen a clone from PSA
Well done, as usual. Thank you.
