Janell here, thanks Teresa! I'm taking another box to Goodwill right now just wanted to see your project today. Filled a trash bag when I finished the file cabinet. Yippee.
We did today. Went through our winter jackets. Why do we have so many😂. We’ll keep a couple for each of us. The balance get donated to an annual drive. As far as garage. I basically get it ready for winter. Yard stuff gets put away. Snow blower, shovels and shop vac are put where they’re readily available. Not fun moving stuff around when it’s 🥶 cold.
@@MikeSchneider-wz3ol Dang! You guys have worked hard! You must feel really good to have all of that organized for winter. I love that you are donating your extras for a coat drive! 😁💛
Oh my goodness Teresa, you’re going to burn yourself out with all this work and disappear on us to recoup. That is a lot of work! Thank you for doing TNR, I’m very active in my community with trapping almost monthly. 😻 Question: When you say “get rid of” with those snake be gone and other repellents, what do you do with them?
@@tcoladonato Hey, Tina, I did just start to come down with a cold today, but I made it through the month! 😂 We have ended up with some really wonderful cats who keep down the mouse population, which then keeps down the snake population! Fortunately, the repellents I had were all natural (the snake one was made of concentrated cinnamon) so I was able to dump them outside. 👍🏼
Nice job! In all your spaces. I wasn't able to do as much for this months challenge as I wish I could have on account of traveling last week, but I did manage to throw out some items that are not usable to anyone. So it was nice to hear you say just getting rid of ten items is a step in the right direction. I have a question. Maybe you have a video on the topic already, and if so, could you please leave a link to it? Since moving into our new place, my husband and I are now sharing a work space. I like to do woodworking and refinishing. I am not neat at all but I do clean up at the end of the day so that the next day I can find my tools or if my husband needs to do something my stuff is not in the way. Now he has new hobbies so we are working in the garage together. He leaves everything out, and nothing is returned to its designated area. I spend more time looking for tools and tripping over them (we both do) as he drops things in the middle of the floor or in front of our most frequented area. I'm so frustrated, but I love and have so much fun together that I don't want to spoil our time together by complaining about the mess. In addition to the frustration, his hobbies are more aggressive on the tools and ruin my tools. I find that I'm hiding and lying about where tools are when he asks if I've seen one. So my question is, without placing tape down the middle of the garage that says,"This is my side, stay out!" How do you get someone else to follow suit on the organization and clean up of an area? I really don't want to have to be responsible for picking up after both of us in the garage as I already have that responsibility inside the house. Up to this point, I've only tried to set the example by picking up after myself and stated we need to set a day to pick up and organize, which he aggres with, but that hasn't happened yet. Mean while the area is getting worse. Thank you in advance.
@@lydzphens Thanks, Lydia! Remember, “progress, not perfection!” You are doing a great job. You have also asked a great question. It would take a bit to answer that so I’m thinking about doing a video to cover my recommendations. Thanks for the inspiration. 😁
@teresaelling-peacefulhome yes please on a video in this topic. I'm sure we will get a system going, but I don't want it to be years down the road. Lol.
I forgot to put my count in the video 😂 I got rid of 48 items!!
Will you tackle a storage area anytime soon?
9:00 - 9:35 I like the idea of "clues" that you mentioned. It's like you're investigating a clutter crime scene! 😆
