Old houses...and you know, those storms...my dad always told me, on life, everything just breaks down. So...I hear ya. We had soo much snow this winter here in MN and our dining room had some water from ice dams, and our NEW chicken coop got crushed because of a huge wall of snow falling from the barn roof... LIFE. Happens. I feel ya! 💓

They say misery loves company.....I live in a converted motorcoach fulltime. Going on 23 years fulltime. Occasionally we get a year where a leak in the roof pops up. Drives me wacky looking for where we need to fix. Just a couple weeks ago we just broke a mechanism that helps lift up one of these very heavy metal bay doors.....now we need to get it fixed or replaced. Not easy or convenient. Ahhhhhh.........I am trying to be grateful in all situations.
Really love your channel Neisha and I love Dr. Berry's channel!! ⚘

Be careful with possible mold growth ❤ My daughter had become chronically sick and then I myself did 😔 It hit me it may be mold and did the ERMI test and it showed very high risk mold exposure!! You don't want that as it's been a nightmare having to move out leaving all behind while feeling like crap and watching my daughters health continue to go downhill 🥲 If any of you start getting sick a lot take that as a sign to move out sooner if your new part isn't ready yet....🙏🏼❤️

So sad that the renovations weren’t the quality they should have been. I live in an apartment and fall of 2020 my landlord did a complete remodel- cabinets, appliances, floors and paint … and things are falling apart already. It’s very frustrating. I’m glad that you have an option! Wish I did, other than moving. Always a pleasure watching your kiddos. And Neisha you look lovely with ‘short’ hair 😊

Sounds like a good plan, but I do not envy you having to go through all that construction! I really have an issue with all the "choosing" that has to be done...we refirbushed our house, and paid a small fortune to have it "leveled" and stabilized with iron bars (which was a nightmare) and out house still moves and we have the same kind of gaps and caulking and cracking......just make sure your foundation is on hard packed soil and is stable.....

It’s very hard to find contractors that are reliable and also do good quality work that will actually last. Been dealing with the same lately and our house is only 13 years old. We have resolved to just do most of the repairs ourselves after spending thousands on work that didn’t hold up.

I love your old house, it has a lot of memories and great bones. But doing upgrades and redecorating in an old house takes a special eye to know where to look for water leakage. My roof was leaking around the chimney and it took taking out all the old wood around the chimney, putting in new wood, flashing and then reroofing the area. No more leaks. I hope you have gotten a better contractor as that should not be happening to the sink. Love Beckett and egg gathering. I used to do that as a child and it brought back a lot of good memories.

I learned the construction business from my father, who learned from his father. Quality work is imperative. It infuriates me to see work like you showed us. Remodeling an old house can provide its own issues (my house was built in 1850 - I experience it constantly). But it is all fixable. Oh, and i like your blue pot, too! - Rick

Someone has probably already said this but just in case... a lot of what you mentioned is a poor roof installation which should still be under warranty!!! The sink can be scrapped and then looks like reinstalled. If you water pressure is causing it to shake, it will make this noise turning it on and off like a jarring noise. If that's the case there is an air release thing, sorry can't recall name, but it will stop that pressure. Cabinets that can just be glued back with construction adhesive. Hope maybe some of this helps we just moved into my grandmothers old house to fix up too. Once you get it fixed right you'll be happy you stayed or at least that you still have it to use.

Wow. That really sucks about the ongoing house issues. Coincidentally I remember posting under unrelated video about 1 of my simple strategies to greatly diminish *challenges* from recurring. It's based on concept that our lives/environment primarily function on the quality of energy that exists/output. It's something I've experimented with since 2 *bad* experiences in 2013. Mind you, one can mis-perceive an event as being bad but it turns out that it isn't coz something *much* better comes along. In my case I thought my strategies stopped working when I had to get hysterectomy in 2021. Fast forward to 2023 & I'm in better health mind & body before operation. As I mentioned previously, my body *reset* itself to a rejuvenated state. You streamlining by de-cluttering is changing your energy environment to a positive level. Bad chaos tends to attract bad chaos. I'm not referring to your kids who represent *positive* chaos which is ok.

My Electrical Engineer husband only hired out for the spray insulation (once he gutted the place) and a happy plumber who did the heating. My mam actually did ALL the rest of the plumbing! Last thing we have to do is kitchen cabinetry and the island. Je works better than I type/spell. UPNY...have to watch who u hire....we got burnt with the guys hired to redo the fireplace pointing....the left b4 job was done and told the guy who referred them I was a "b!!#%" I wish he would come back....he would actually SEE that side of me!

Adding the sparkling water to LMNT sounds great can’t wait to try. So sorry you’re having issues with your home, been there. I love your videos and have learned so much from watching you! Thank you❤️

I am sorry your home is having issues. My husband is a contractor and I am wondering if your home got wet during the remodel? There are so many variables that might have caused these things and not anything that your "old" contractor did wrong too. Leakage around the chimney is common depending on the valleys around it. Freezing & thawing in the gutters can cause water issues too.
Idk, I am not there but I wish my husband was close enough to help you. I truly understand how frustrating this must be and I would make the same decision to make this the office space now. I am glad you were able to keep this home since it means so much to you. You will figure it all out! :) I love your videos and seeing your little babies grow. :)

So glad Bonnie is not allergic to eggs. My little one, when I first time gave him eggs, immediately got hives.

We are going through remodel hell! So sorry this has happened to you all but so very happy that you will stay on the same family land AND have a new space for your family. We are trying to relocate to Camden or Waverly TN in the next year.

Holy shite, huge changes. The issues you’re having is not because of the “older” portion of your home. Older homes were built with quality materials, skilled craftsman and they last for generations. My own was built in 1864 and is solid. Seems the “contractor” was the issue along with materials he used. Good luck on the new build.

Glad to know the "new" house is bigger than your original house, you need more room.
Wish you would do a video showing how to make this sausage dish all the way through 😊

Sorry to hear about your renovation problems. I have a saying, "warranties are everything." Any major work to be done, I don't commit to unless there is a reasonable warranty. Good luck. I know it is such a big headache.

What about mold that can come from the leaking? I would be very concerned about that. I have family members that got real sick from attending a school that continualy had leaks
