All 1999-2004 Mustang Cobras had an IRS. The 03/04 Terminator Cobras had the best IRS and also had more robust 31 spline axles. You are correct however about the IRS returning to Mustangs in 2015.
I bought my '02 GT vert. new, added a Vortec Supercharger and all the other goodies. Has 400 RWP, suspension mods, brakes, and it will scream! I've had 6 Stangs, '66, '70, '95' '99, 02' and also have a '17 Ecoboost. But for overall fun, the '02 "BadHorsi" is hard to beat. It's in the shop right now, getting a Cobra Bumper Cover, new paint, new racing stripes, front and rear lights, replacing the cracked leather with new vinyl upholstery, carpet... Love these cars.
I own a 2003 Mineral Grey Terminator with a whipple 2.3 blower making 621hp to the wheels. I've owned 5 other mustang GTs over the years and loved them all but my Terminator is in a class by itself where new edges are concerned. It is and has always been my dream car. Even though it's 18 years old, terminators are still potent contenders in today's modern performance market. And with a few mods like mine has, you can still be king of the road!

As a true car enthusiast since the age of 3, I've owned and built many rides over the years. The Ford mustang is a favorite--especially the 70' Boss 302 Fastback. As a daily, I recently purchased a 2004 40th Anniversary Edition 2V 4.6 GT with 78K miles from the first owner. With the exception of a BBK cold-air intake, Flowmaster 40's, Steeda lowered suspension(including the C/C kit) and JNC 17x8 (front) 17x9 (rear) wheels mounted with a staggered Nitto stance, my GT is BONE STOCK. Exterior is metallic grey finished with flat black highlights and racing stripes. I focussed on style and handling with this project, and all I can say is I love this car! I am absolutely FINE with the realistic 265 RWHP it produces but coupled with it's light weight and (now) much improved handling capabilities, it makes driving in Los Angeles bearable--especially with a 4-Speed Auto. As you may or may-not know, LA driving has always been "challenging" but today (except for most of COVID-2020) it's a complete nightmare. While surrounded by 500-1050HP supercars, my GT has NEVER failed to leave them all in my rearview, when duty calls. This New Edge makes all of it's HP usable through all of it's power band, and is surprisingly quick and nimble in traffic--and the best part--it's STOCK. AC and all mechanical moving/comfort amenities are fully functional and easy to repair. This GT is one of the best looking, (with a badass stance from Hell!) and sounding, SN95's you will ever see on the road. I encourage anyone plotting a life into motor mania, a great ride to consider is a 4TH generation Mustang. With a total investment of $6K you can't beat it--except for my 70Boss 302 Fastback.
Just watched your video. I own a 2003 Mach 1 and I love it. I ordered it from the factory with the 5 speed manual transmission and the interior upgrade. The only option available was a automatic transmission. I still own it. I drive it to local car shows and it’s always 1st or 2nd place in its class. I’ve kept it stock. My only complaint is the manual transmission... it was a little “notchy”. I love driving it.
I've had several mustang's in my time. 2 foxbodys, 3 SN95s, and 2 new edge cars. Currently I drive an 03 mach 1 and I LOVE it. I do think the 305hp is a little underrated imo. This thing moves for what it is. If you can catch one for a good deal, do it. They're goin up

If you can look past the confines of the Mustang styling traits and see the car as its own unique thing, they are actually quite breathtaking. Fell in love with them as a kid and ended up buying one over a year ago. The roofline has similarities with the De Tomaso Pantera's. A somewhat exotic Italian look of that time period. Very striking and classy. Turns heads absolutely everywhere. They are also awesome to drive, and the 351 cleveland screams.

What? No 99-01 Cobra? But you put the fucking GT in there? The GT was one step up from the V6. 99-01 Cobra had a DOHC 4.6L V8 making 320 hp plus bigger brakes, better suspension and the IRS. The GT made 260 hp and the Bullitt was rated at 265 hp with its "special" intake worth only 5 extra hp. Get real.

You just can't beat the 1973 and older Mustangs. The 1971-1973 "sport roof" model is one of the most beautiful cars ever made. And if you have one and are not happy with the lack of power, that is now an easy fix. Insure and register it as a collector car, which exempts it from emissions tests, then you can put all then power you want under the hood. The 1979-1993 Fox body Mustangs were not only the ugliest Mustangs ever made, they are one of the ugliest cars ever made PERIOD. But my personal favorite is my own Mustang, a 1967 coupe, red with a white vinyl top, white leather interior, beefed up 289/4 speed, stock wheels and covers and narrow WSW tires. Headers, glasspacks and a true dual exhaust system. No it's not cheap. It's taken me 40 years to be able to afford it.
For the most part I agree. But I had an 86 and 88 hatchback GTs and they were not that bad looking compared to the coupes. They are way popular now but mainly for drag racing because they are so light. My favorite styles of all were the 69-70 fastbacks but 67 is very cool too. Don't get me wrong now, I would dearly love to own a 71 Boss 351! Funny thing when I first started driving in the mid 70s I was a mopar guy with a 69 dodge charger and a 70 challenger. But now I'm a mustang madman! lol I was finally able to get my dream car too but for me it's a 2003 Terminator Cobra.
Saleens are tuner cars modified by them after the fact based on normal production mustangs not factory delivered from Ford. That I imagine is why there was no saleen or roush cars.
It doesn't matter what you do to these cars all of them can't take a corner or break the back tires loose. Because you will send it straight into a wall, another car, or running into a crowd of people. I've always wanted a Terminator cobra or the Cobra R.

Your on crack, the 2004 Roush 440a absolute walks every Terminator and 2004 zo6 STOCK in a heartbeat. But almost ruined Ford and Roush relationship because that 440a almost killed Terminator sales. True HP was 460 and 480 tq and 355 gears and tuned for power to light up 1000 rpm lower. The true unicorn that was factory and warranty by Ford but only 40 because likely nobody doing reviews have ever driven one. Plus true story Ford paid propaganda articles to downplay the 440a. Just speaking history and truth. For modding the terminator rule but stock keeps value and 440 a actually from dig beats most c6 zo6 in quarter unless z driver is A plus. Terms are my favorite for modding though, but if you make a video include ALL that were actually warranty as production by Ford. The real specs of the 440a will never be truthful reveal. It will always be the true new edge unicorn!

I was lucky enough to own an 04 cobra. A previous owner had ported and tuned the engine and it was sitting on 475 rwhp. It was a monster!

The stage 3 roush should have been on the list. 0-60 in 4.3s. Faster than the Cobra R and on par with Z06s. It ran 12.9s off the showroom floor.
I currently own a 2002 mustang gt and that shit runs! Keeps up an srt8 off digs, rt’s. Definitely a fun car and slept on for sure
