Hello great explication for the down speed with more pressure in thé plénum, good picture with the stronger man. I'm Always looking for a good exemple to explain to the New airgunners the good setup between the plénum pressure and the hit of the hammer. Good job to for the interest of the huma regulator 👍
huma a dutch product is a very good regulator and rebuild set are easy availlable , thats a big plus also , because after a time you need to clean a reg and renew parts . it depends how clean and dry the air is in the gun thats used
If there s an creap, best to replace orings on fx reg, especially one on probe which had tendency to compress on on edge. Then replace piston reg if needed😊 😊
I've changed all my AMP regs with HUMA in 3 FX for this exact reason. OK if you just need to take one or two "recovery" shots every time you shoot it maynot be so bad but when you get to higher calibres it does matter. For example, in a .35 calibre you're getting 26 shots per fill you don't want to be wasting air like that.
Ernest Rowe is working on getting rid of the Bellville washers and going to a die cast spring.... interesting. Dont know if you saw his video today on it.
Hi Peter, As you mentioned some AMP regulators perform better than others. I hear that newer rifles have the brass piston now, but my Crown mk2 which is quite old probably has the plastic one, however this rifle does not have a noticeable velocity change over time like my newer Maverick. I only have anologue gauges so can't tell whether there is any creep. Your experience working on the bellville springs and lubricating the parts before re-installing has been mentioned by others and has been recommended as a way of improving shot to shot consistency. Swapping out the AMP regulator for the Huma might improve ones experience but maybe working on the AMP reg first might make changing unnecessary. I really enjoy your videos, you are very particular and want to get the best out of your rifles and it's helpful to others to follow you on your journey.
Hi John and thank you for your comment🙏 When I changed the plastic piston with the brass piston I saw just a small improvement, but my amp reg was allready performing really well. So the improvement might be bigger if the reg had been bad from the start. If you havent seen that video, you should check it out 🙂

Hello! Congratulations for your videos! I have a clarification to ask you about the FX Panthera regulator: did you mount the 60-135 bars or the 100-200 bars? Thank you for your answer
In this one Im using the super high preasure (100-200) but since then I changed it to low preasure. Not much of a difference with the range overlapping, but the super high preasure stacking does win. Regulators are not different, so just get the springs 🙂
Um hmm. That was pretty interesting. Liked the reg install also. I know that the top companies all have pretty good regs, and not to disparage anyone, but what do u think differentiates them? Design? Materials? Thank u for another great video sir.👍

Its been ages since I saw someone doing it, so I cant remember the video, but it is very simple. I use Autosol and just rub each spring with my fingers for like one minutand then clean and lube before installing🙂
I imagine that you are refering to the accuracy - and yes wind has a significant impact on accuracy. The term spread in this termonology refers to the difference in velocity on a shot string 🙂 Usually I dont go shooting when there is too much wind for the results to be as little affected as possible. @VikingAirgunner Peter have you got some Eagle vision magazines. Just got some yesterday. They are brilliant, a lot better than the plastic crap from fx
HUMA has two regs for the FX Panthera, low range 60bar to 135bar and a high range 100bar to 200bar. Which one are you using? If it is the high range, would the low range fill just as fast?
In this video I am using the extra high, but I switched to low. No significant change in filling time, but with low the reg preasure didnt drop as much from full bottle to charge time as with extra high spring configuration. The regulators are the same. Only the springs are different. And you can buy springs seperately.
@@VikingAirgunner hello Peter, i also have the same with my Fx King and the huma regulator, from full bottle to almost my regulated pressure (117 bar)the regulator lost 7 bar, So you are saying that i can swap the Belleville washers from the xtra high pressure,to the low pressure settings to prevent the decrease of the regulator from full to empty bottle?
Hi Peter, thanks for the video. I have never worked with guns that were limited, so I cant really say anything about that. The extra high preasure is made to be used between 100 and 200 bar, and I dont assume that you are in that range? Low goes up to 135 bar.
