Unbeliavable drumming, there's just so much going on... thank you for all the great music over the years! Your drumming is such a huge part in Neurosis, it's hypnotizing really
I know your a super private dude so thanks for making this available. Your drumming seriously helped my drumming and still does. Neurosis aided in some serious soul finding and healing. I was pulled in the void again. Spiraling...
I have always liked how at 4:00, you really crescendo the snare before it gets into Dave's "The will to power..." part. So many great subtleties and feeling in your drumming. Sometimes I feel like you guys are telepathically in tune with each other. Each member is so critical to the overall sound. My favorite band.
Hi! Just a "nerdy" drumming question: I really love your drumming style and it really inspires mine too. I've studied a little bit of the Wilcoxon 150 american solos.. did you study or take inspiration from it? Because when I started to study it, many rudiments reminded me your style; in songs like this or "Bleed the pigs". it's very nice how you build grooves using different rudiments from the marching style (if they're so). Anyway hope to see you soon after damn Covid!

You are so underrated bro.
Truly. No other atmosludge/post-metal band can hold a candle to Neurosis. Why? Jason Roeder.
I just wanted to say how much neurosis means to me and your drumming has affected me as a drummer myself, thank you for existing, thank you neurosis
My fave drummer of this genre. Big influence on my playing. That snare sound is insane! Wonder what type of snare? Sounds like a big stave snare?
7x14 DW Collector's series, all birch shell.
@@jason_roeder Wow! Wouldnt have picked a birch shell. Sounds so good in the clip. Might have to invest in adding a birch snare in my arsenal.
@@jason_roeder It sounds amazing!

Try playing the video at 1/2 speed!
Needs more cowbell.
In all seriousness, though, I'm a big fan. Thanks for sharing the footage!
