@@guguigugu Barring historic relics, I don't think there's a watch in the world that either Larry David or David Schwimmer would have trouble replacing.

Agreed but I understand David’s perspective. When David lost the watch, it ended up someplace he can trace it back to, but Larry is a whole other variable so now there’s no shot of David finding the watch

Yvette Nicole Brown, this was early in her career she also a decade later played Shirley Bennett in Community. When I rewatch Curb seasons I recognize a lot of actors from other shows and sitcoms who got bigger later.
@Natural Creature i've probably seen every episode of always sunny 5+x (tied as favorite wth Curb) and they're completely different shows. Curb's humor is much more subtle and better written, always sunny is more "lol" funny but the most recent seasons suck and the acting isn't great.
and air travel used to be reserved for civilized folks not commoners. you can go in polite and friendly but once you deal with 10 chads and stacys and their spawn you gonna change your game.
Without question, Larry David is responsible for the watch. He did not actually find it; someone else did; rather, he took possession of it from the housekeeper who is the one who actually found it. Given that it was on her cart and an open display, she was clearly planning on turning it into the lost and found. If she had planned on keeping it, she would’ve put it in her pocket. So when Larry takes it from her, he becomes responsible for it. Conversely, if Larry had actually found the watch and in a place where it was not likely to have been turned in, then his argument would be valid.
Larry always managed to find the best black actors and actresses on both seinfeld and curb, this woman only has a few lines but the whole black person with attitude caricature Larry always does is always hysterical.
This is one of my favorite arguments in the show. Actually makes you think about who’s in the right. Most of the others are clearly in Larry’s favor but here I’m less sure
I'm on Larry's side here. The norm of punishing people for honest mistakes that occur during selfless acts would disincentivise selflessness, and result in a world where everyone is worse off. Ex ante David would want Larry to attempt to find the watch and return it to him, so the lost watch is on David.
I think this reasoning is probably best. This is exactly why good samaritan laws were created in real life, to allow people to try and assist others without risking being held liable for some honest mistake. Schwimmer’s arguments come off as super entitled, he’s basically demonstrating that no one should ever attempt to return his possessions to him because they risk being held responsible if they go missing.
Absolutely not! This loss is 100% on Larry David. He lost a found item. He did not find it himself. The hotel employee found it and was going to put it in their secure Lost and Found location. Instead, Larry took it upon himself to take someone’s property that wasn’t his and then misplaced it.
My gf’s cousin had a badly cracked phone that she was using. It was in bad shape but still useable. She had the phone resting on the hard back of a sofa and I accidentally sat on it without realising, fully cracking it. Now the phone was totally unusable. The cousin then claimed that she had planned on selling the phone for €200 so that’s how much I owed her. My gf was super mad because she thought there was no fucking way she was getting €200 for the phone in the state it was in. But I broke it, so I paid the €200 to avoid any family drama.
I just like the idea that a super-rich celebrity from Friends would get this uptight about a watch they could buy 10x over without noticing a change in their bank account XD
The air hostess (or flight attendant, if you insist) is the woman who plays Dwight's temporary colleague when he goes to work in Staples, in The Office. She says she doesn't like him and his massive teeth and crazy hair, or something like that. He asks her if she's ever heard of paper when she says she's never heard of Dunder Mifflin.

Henk de Tank no....there isn’t. It’s pretty straight forward to know who right and who’s wrong. Your the type of person Larry would call out
Love how Shwimmer is trying to get Larry to pay for his lost watch.
Larry being badgered by some character for money he may or may not owe them is the most frequent joke in the series.

Not in this case. He told Ross he had the watch and that makes it Larry's responsibility not to lose it until he can give it back.
Larry represents the truth, people don't like the truth
Thats why its so relatable if u live your life like him u get nothing but hate
