Part 3 and still so fascinating to hear Jon speak about his life. I'll be looking forward to hearing more even if it goes to Part 300! Thanks to Jon for spending this time with us.
Same here. What happened to that red hair? Jason was my favorite Walton child. You all were my other family. So good to hear about the behind scenes. Thank you Judy.😊
Thank you Jon, for sharing! It's such a pleasure and a privilege to hear these stories! And thank you so very much Judy, as always. I am SO glad you started this channel! The comfort and joy of having "The Walton Family" back in our lives all these many years later is immeasurable. The beauty is that you're all just as wonderful and kind as your characters were. Love to you all from Maine! ❤❤❤
Jon has had/has a fascinating career! I never knew he did so many different things. Now I know why all the Walton’s children were so nature! They were allowed to be normal children, not made to act like small adults. Judy, I love when you have your siblings on. Y’all still act like family. ❤ My wish for all, a blessed, happy holiday season. ❤

Amazing. What a gift all of you are to TV history. Jon has done many wonderful things. I only had two sisters growing up as my only brother died when I was too young to even meet him. So, I loved all the girls in the Walton’s but was really sort of nourished by the boys. I have always loved music so the character of Jason was important to me. My mom dabbled in writing so John Boy was a good model for me, too. I loved Mary as Erin working as a switchboard operator as my grandmother had done that during the Depression. I guess that is part of why the show and the actors on it so resonate with me today. Thanks, Judy, for continuing to do these. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas season.
I had no idea Jon did the voice of Christopher Robins! I’ll need to watch that again with that knowledge. I’m glad you all made a true Walton’s album. I hate when I find out it wasn’t you all on the first one. Jon is an amazing man and his English-ness comes through! Love it. Mary
Enjoyed listening to Jon talk about his life was so interesting. Many areas of our lives are so impersonal now days. We've lost this specialty in our lives with the tech world. Thank you for sharing and video. Blessings to you both.
My goodness, how interesting is Jon relating his younger years. I had no idea he had voiced other characters or even acted in other movies. I am also a fan of the Beatles so can relate to what Jon said about them. Thank you Judy for this and asking the best possible questions. Best wishes to you from your waltonian superfan in a wet, miserable and dull grey England😉
I have always liked and appreciated Jon Walmsley, but this wonderful interview has increased my appreciation of him one hundred fold. What a great guy, musician and actor!
Hearing Jon talk about how rare it is to find The Waltons Christmas CD, I feel so lucky to be able to say that I have found one in a local repurposed store and have enjoyed listening to it during Christmas for about 2 years. Also I am such massive fan of Winnie The Pooh, especially the first movie The Many Adventures. Loved hearing him talk about that. ❤️
Judy, Jon is a delight to listen to. Thank you so much for everything you do on this channel. I think that what you are doing is so important because we live in an angry world. Everyone needs a place to feel safe. You provide that place. Keep this great work up. You are doing such important work.
I love the Together Again Christmas album that you all made! I bought a copy on ebay last year when I heard about it on one of your episodes. I can’t understand how anyone would think a Walton’s Christmas cd not made by you would be special. I can understand how hurtful that must have been. So glad Jon put this together with all of you! I can remember watching Winnie the Pooh and the blustery day many times as a kid and particularly being drawn to Christopher Robin’s voice. I thought he sounded so warm, gentle, kind and sensitive and thought he would make a really good friend. It was so fun to find out last year on one of your episodes that that voice was Jon! All the same things I loved about Jason:)
Hi Judy and John.I always like the innerviews with you guys talking about good old times of how Waltons cast worked together behind the scenes. The filmmakers also did an excellent job filming, the Walton's shows.
Wow, what an incredibly long career Jon has had. Love his stories. By the way, I found a copy of the Christmas cd on eBay, brand new, still unopened!! Can't wait to get it and listen to it!!
Near the end of Pt. 3, when Judy and Jon talked about the effect of "The Waltons" had on people I had a jolt of old memories. I was in my late teens/early 20s at that time and going to college during the Vietnam War. Life became horrific and I had developed panic/anxiety and depression. Anyway, I so looked forward to watching "The Waltons" every Thursday Night. When the show was on my anxiety and depression would temporarily seem to 'disappear'. For the many years "The Waltons" were a respite of calm that helped "save" my life. Many years have passed, life went on with ups and downs, but I'm 73 years old and still here. My memories of watching "The Waltons" are still very dear to me.
Good afternoon, Judy. I just got done watching The house. Then, at the end, Grand Pa put that stain glass window in his and Grand Ma's bedroom. 1976. Where did the time go. Thank you for bringing this back.❤
I was happily surprised that there was a part 3. Thank you Judy & Jon! I learned so much today. Looking forward to more videos. I wouldn't mind a part 4 with Jon/Jason. Again thank you!
I am 60 years old and I reside here in historic Yorktown, Virginia. After many years, I recently watched The Homecoming: A Christmas Story again. It is definitely a forgotten (by the newer generations) television masterpiece. The acting and the writing are simply superb, and I still got chills when they first heard the report of the bus accident on the radio. I need to make a road trip up to the Walton's Mountain Museum as well.
@@judynorton2598 Wow! When I was an 8-year-old boy back in 1971, I had a crush on 13-year-old Mary Ellen Walton, and I thought she was so beautiful, so smart, and so annoying at times as well. My family and friends will love hearing this story. Most celebrities do not talk to fans on social media.
I enjoy your interviews so much Judy. The Walton's were apart of so many families... including mine. I feel like I've known y'all forever. lol Thank you so much for continuing to share interviews and memories.
Jon and Judy amazing how he was able to speak southern to fit the part, but now you can hear the British. What wonderful lives you both have had, I hope you continue the next generation, what wonderful things you would come up with, with Michael Learned and the whole family cast, WoW not to mention the morality you would provide and new memories for us all to have. Your both just wonderful!

It’s probably the longest running show I still watch regularly. Deserves more credit than it receives. Thanks for taking me back to a wonderful time in my childhood.
Judy, I am thrilled to have found your TH-cam channel. When the series originally aired I was in the military and after discharge worked full-time and attended college full-time. (How I managed that I don't understand!) After graduation I was busy getting my career going working tons of hours in IT. Consequently, there was little time to watch television. Fast forward to 2023 and retired my wife and I are binge watching The Waltons. I didn't realize what I was missing and have fallen in love with the series! Thank you for doing these Behind the Scenes videos. Kudos to you and everyone associated with such a wholesome program. You're awesome!!! ❤
Honestly, I would love to have a CD of every single song Jason sang/played on the Waltons. I loved his voice and everything about his playing and singing. My special favorites were 'Home' (When shadows fall), and the "Moonshiner Song". Just loved Jason!
I truly enjoyed hearing Jon, he was my favorite Walton because of his music, I had a bit of a crush 😍 I was so surprised to hear he was on The One and Only…Family Band, I absolutely loved that movie, I remember my family seeing it at the movies and then playing it on our VCR for my kids 😊

Thank you again, Judy and Jon, for a wonderful start to our week. Jon, I just admired your character as Jason, Having a dream of being a song writer and one day as a composer with nothing in his way to stop him and with his respect to his parents, grandparents and his siblings. But a grownup Jason with his head up high, to better himself to be a man of his own.
Judy, we were unaware that you have this program. I googled Michael Learned to see how close her age is to mine and your program came up. Thank you so much for all the years of family entertainment. You all have touched so many lives in a positive way.❤
Another great interview with Jon. I have a better understanding now why Jon did not have an strong English accent. Moving here to the US when he was 3 he was able to grow up with more of an American accent than British. I'm sure his parents still had a strong English accent. Wow I can't believe Jon played the voice of Christopher Robins in the Winnie the Poo series. I loved those cartoons as a kid when they aired them. What classics.Jon is another guy I'd could just sit there and listen to tell his stories. Just amazing.
I have enjoyed this interview very much. I didn’t realize until this interview that John was the voice of Christopher Robin. 😀 I do have a copy of the Real Waltons Christmas CD. Love it!
Am listening in segments! Fascinating life stories! Thanks so much for taking the time and trouble to share with us fans! Christopher Robin's voice ~ wonderful! ❤
Always loved Jon's playing and singing ❤ just watched the episode with him and his ex Lisa doing a duet at the dew drop inn after he punched out the cowboy singer. He's such a talent!
Thank you for sharing that story about the CD. Incidentally, regarding Richard's singing, I myself loved that little tune that he sang for Jenny while playing the dulcimer! I thought he sang that very well!
Love this continuation with Jon, I knew of some of his other acting credits and music stuff but now know a bit more. I can remember as a child being a redhead with braids none the less certain members of my dad's family claimed "you look just like Elizabeth on the Waltons". I'm a coastal Virginia city gal but always love when I am able to go west into the mountains there is just something comforting about being able to be one with nature. Still watch the Waltons to this day and hope to get back to Schuyler for another visit at some point in the future. Merry Christmas to all of the Walton family.
Amazing talent this guy has. Not to take away from the other actors but given his background, he was amazing and very convincing. That was a bad thing to say in regard to a child. Probably one of the most talented and convincing actors in the series.
I really liked Jason on the Waltons and i especially liked him when he was with bobby bigalow and the haystack gang. I also think that Jason had a good singing voice. Merry Christmas 2 all from me.
You, Judy Norton, have fleshed out Jon Walmsley like never before. Who has not been shocked to originally learn that Jason Walton naturally speaks with a british accent! Jon is very warm, proper and engaging. "A person of substance" as we lke to say. Your friend..
Thank you Judy for another wonderful talk with one of your co actors, Jon. So wonderful to hear the past you spent together and how you remain so in touch with each other. ❤❤
@@judynorton2598 Judy can you verify Richard Thomas was in a horrible car crash in Minnesota and lost most of one his legs? I saw a picture of him in a wheelchair and sure enough his left leg had been amputated above the knee.I hope he is ok my prayers go out to him and his family.
@@ronaldwilliams6927 That picture is a hoax. It's a video that has been floating around for a few years and is fraudulent and misleading to such people into clicking on it to watch the video which I'm sure will then contradict the photo. I was fortunate enough to find the Christmas CD on Amazon about two years ago for my daughter, and we really enjoy it. I love The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and both of my kids loved it as well. I'm still a huge Winnie the Pooh fan. 😆

He has such a great ear for accents.
Love Jon's humor and stories on this video 🙂
Happy to hear that. Thank you.
❤
Am listening in segments! Fascinating life stories! Thanks so much for taking the time and trouble to share with us fans! Christopher Robin's voice ~ wonderful! ❤
Always loved Jon's playing and singing ❤ just watched the episode with him and his ex Lisa doing a duet at the dew drop inn after he punched out the cowboy singer. He's such a talent!
Yes - Jon has always been such a musical talent.!
I just loved the Waltons! It’s so great to hear you interviewing fellow cast members!
So glad you enjoyed this.
Thank you for sharing that story about the CD. Incidentally, regarding Richard's singing, I myself loved that little tune that he sang for Jenny while playing the dulcimer! I thought he sang that very well!
🥰
Love this continuation with Jon, I knew of some of his other acting credits and music stuff but now know a bit more. I can remember as a child being a redhead with braids none the less certain members of my dad's family claimed "you look just like Elizabeth on the Waltons". I'm a coastal Virginia city gal but always love when I am able to go west into the mountains there is just something comforting about being able to be one with nature. Still watch the Waltons to this day and hope to get back to Schuyler for another visit at some point in the future. Merry Christmas to all of the Walton family.
Clearly you are an extended family member :). Happy Holidays!
Amazing talent this guy has. Not to take away from the other actors but given his background, he was amazing and very convincing. That was a bad thing to say in regard to a child. Probably one of the most talented and convincing actors in the series.
He is indeed remarkably talented.
Jon’s English accent was gone by the time we did The Waltons. He easily slips back into in when he chooses.
Thank you Judy for another wonderful talk with one of your co actors, Jon. So wonderful to hear the past you spent together and how you remain so in touch with each other. ❤❤
You are so welcome!
Great interview Judy, John is such a great guy and i thought he did a great job portraying Jason.I had no idea he did voice work for cartoons.
Such a versatile performer. Thanks for joining us.
Richard is fine and one tour with To Kill a Mockingbird on stage. Thanks for asking.
We watched this so much growing up. Thanks
I was fortunate enough to find the Christmas CD on Amazon about two years ago for my daughter, and we really enjoy it. I love The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and both of my kids loved it as well. I'm still a huge Winnie the Pooh fan. 😆
So glad you were able to find the CD.
Another wonderful interview! Thank you so much for doing this. I knew Jon was a childhood actor but I didn't realize he did voice it over - love all the details! 😅😊
Happy you enjoyed this.
❤❤❤❤❤
The Waltons wonderful show w talented actors. Everyone was so believable in their character. I do remember Jon as Christopher Robbin when I was a kid.
Would love to get a copy of the CD.
Thank you, Judy & Jon.
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Indeed. Glad you enjoyed this.
